Cartagena, su histo-ria y sus gentes, preceden al Turismode Salud que nos ofrece Murcia. Nonos hemos resistido y nos hemos baña-do en la naturaleza y las playas deFormentera y Menorca.

Un extenso recorrido por alguno de suspróximos destinos, sin dejar a un lado todala agenda cultural de Madrid, con un aba-nico de opciones donde perderse es fácil.

Ochenta actuaciones y veintitrés compañías componen la oferta de la décimaedición de Escena Contemporánea. Este Festival brinda una ocasión única paradisfrutar de las mejores propuestas de danza, teatro experimental, acciones decalle, performance y arte sonoro de todo el mundo. Con una programación cen-trada en las propuestas escénicas más innovadoras, el firme propósito de laorganización es convertirse en un reflejo de la creación contemporánea. En estemarco, no faltan los encuentros interculturales y un recorrido por la perspectivade género a través de obras creadas e interpretadas por mujeres comoShantala, Paloma Calle, Sonia Gómez, Louisa Merino o Antonia Baehr. Eighty performances and twenty three companies have put together the eighthedition of Contemporary Scene. This festival celebrates a unique occasion toenjoy the best of dance, experimental theatre and street performances. With aprogram focusing on the most innovative performances, the organisers intend tobecome a reflection of contemporary creation. This in mind, there will be inter-cultural encounters and a tour covering the perspective of gender with acts crea-ted by women and interpreted by women such as Shantala, Paloma Calle, SoniaGómez, Louisa Merino o Antonia Baehr.

Este ciclo cumpleen 2010 su octava edición y brinda a todoslos amantes del género la ocasión de disfru-tar de las más destacadas compañías, bailari-nes y coreógrafos emergentes. La hermanamenor de la Compañía Nacional de Danzaregresa a los escenarios madrileños con tresprogramas: L'Amoroso, Synaphai y Ewes,este último como estreno absoluto. L'Amoroso cuenta con el honor de ser la pri-mera coreografía que su director, NachoDuato, creó expresamente para la CND2. Unproyecto basado en composiciones musicalesdel barroco italiano que logra sacar partidode la frescura y juventud de los bailarinespara dar forma a un ambiente dinámico einocente. Por su parte, Synaphai, es un balletestructurado en tres partes que expresa senti-mientos como la opresión, la amenaza y laincomunicación. Además, será el bautizo dela CND2 en este proyecto. Por último, Amaury Lebrun da vida a Ewes, uncurioso nombre que significa agua en un viejoidioma francés y que surje como una necesidadde reflexionar sobre nuestro mundo y el futu-ro. La imagen del agua como vida y fuerza,pero también su antítesis como sudor o sequía.

This season sees itcelebrate its eighth edition and offer theopportunity to lovers of the genre to enjoythe most outstanding companies, dancersand latest choreographies. The big sister ofthe Compañía Nacional de Danza returns tothe Madrid stage with three programmes:L'Amoroso, Synaphai, and Ewes, the latterbeing a totally new production. L'Amoroso has the honour of being its direc-tor Nacho Duato's first choreography, createdspecially for CND2. It is a production basedon Italian Baroque musical compositionswhich makes the most of the freshness andyouth of its dancers to create an atmospherewhich is both dynamic and innocent. Synaphai, in contrast, is a ballet which deve-lops in three parts dealing with conceptssuch as oppression, threat and lack of com-munication. This will be the first showing ofthis work in CND2.Finally Amaury Lebrun brings Ewes to life.The unusual name means water in an oldFrench language and develops the need toreflect on our world and the future. The ideaof water as life and strength is contrastedwith the images of sweat and drought.

La pesca submarina está prohibida en toda la superficie de lareserva sin excepción alguna, así como el fondeo de embar-caciones, la pesca submarina, la pesca deportiva en todas susformas y la inmersión con escafandra autónoma.La reserva comprende desde zonas poco profundas hastafondos de más de sesenta metros de profundidad, y en ellaspodemos encontrar gran variedad de paisajes submarinos,de los que cabe destacar las praderas de posidonia(Patrimonio de la humanidad según UNESCO). Dichas prade-ras están presentes en casi todas las partes de la reserva,hasta los treinta y cinco metros de profundidad.La Reserva Marina dels Freus de Ibiza y Formentera, estásituada entre las islas de Ibiza y Formentera. Actualmente,para poder bucear dentro de la reserva marina hace faltaobtener una autorización que expide la Consejería deAgricultura y Pesca. Este permiso habilita la práctica del sub-marinismo dentro de la totalidad de la reserva, menos en lazona de protección especial (reserva integral). Es totalmentegratuito y tiene validez para un año natural.

From thirty fivemetres these grasslands can be found covering nearlyall of this nature reserve.The Marine Nature Reserve of Ibiza and Formentera issituated between the islands Ibiza and Formentera. It ranges from the far south of Ibiza to the north of itsneighbouring island Formentera.Currently, to be able to scuba dive, divers must obtaina permit from the Ministry of agriculture and fishing.Except for areas under special protection, this permitwill allow the diver to scuba diving within the reserve.This permit is totally free and is valid for one year.

A pesar de la imposibilidad de establecer su origen con exac-titud, en la documentación que se conserva consta que elCamí de Cavalls, a lo largo del siglo XVIII, era utilizado comoun vial de trazado perimetral a toda Menorca, con la básicafinalidad de su defensa, y que permitía a la autoridad unabuena vigilancia de las costas y un eficaz medio de comuni-cación y servicio a las atalayas, baterías y otras fortificaciones.Paralelamente a este uso militar, se puede constatar que elCamí de Cavalls también se construyó como servidumbre depaso para causas de interés y uso público.El Camí de Cavalls es un elemento paisajístico singular den-tro del territorio de la isla que le propicia una lectura comple-ja a su paso por diferentes ámbitos de gran variedad morfo-lógica y dinámica distinta.A través del Camí de Cavalls se puede obtener una radiogra-fía de las cualidades intrínsecas del territorio menorquín, desu diversidad y en ocasiones, de las rarezas de su morfologíay paisaje, de la remota presencia del hombre y su forma deocupar y aprovechar el territorio, así como la realidad dealgunas operaciones urbanísticas y de las características deltratamiento del turismo.Por ello se proponen veinte rutas a caballo, a pie o en bicicleta,siempre a lo largo de los casi 180 kilómetros de recorrido querodean la isla de Menorca. El senderista podrá disfrutar de pai-sajes y situaciones diferentes, únicas e irrepetibles, ayudándole aentender la compleja estructura del ámbito rural de la isla.

Despite the impossibility of ascertaining its exact origin, itis well documented that the Camí de Cavalls was used inthe 18th century as a circular road around the entire islandof Minorca. This road served the main purpose of defen-ding the island by allowing the forces stationed there tomaintain a constant lookout of the coastline and by kee-ping open the accesses to the battle stations, castles andstrongholds that secured the island from sea-faring inva-ders. In addition to its military use, the Camí de Cavallswas also built to facilitate transit for civilians and cargo.Today, the Camí de Cavalls is a tourist sight worth visitingand offers a unique vision of the complex differences thatco-exist in this island.Through the Camí de Cavalls one can obtain an in-depthunderstanding of the inner qualities of the island, its fasci-nating diversity and, occasionally its quirkiness in terms oflandscape, the presence of early humans and their way ofcolonising the land, as well as the stinging reality of someof the recent building developments and the characteris-tics of the tourism industry.All of the above leads to 20 different routes on horseback,by bicycle or on foot along the 180 Km around the island.The intrepid walker will enjoy its many different landsca-pes and the unique opportunities with which this islandattempts to communicate its complex and rich rural andsocial structure.

El nombre de Calafell, topónimo que significa "Castillo peque-ño", lo encontramos escrito por primera vez en un documen-to del 999. Este acogedor municipio se halla situado en el cora-zón de la comarca del Baix Penedès, puerta de bienvenida a laCosta Daurada, considerada como uno de los referentes inter-nacionales más importantes del mundo turístico.Testimonios silenciosos e incondicionales de un rico y glorio-so pasado son algunas de las muchas huellas que, a lo largode los años, nos ha dejado la historia: un emocionante viaje,de la mano de la Ciudadela Ibérica, en la época de los íberosen la que se combinan armoniosamente la investigaciónarqueológica con los aspectos lúdicos, pedagógicos y turísti-cos; los vestigios de dos cisternas de la antigua villa romanadel Vilarenc; el viaje a la vida de épocas pasadas entre lasmurallas del majestuoso y elegante Castillo Medieval, queofrece una de las más singulares panorámicas de Calafell, laobligada visita a la pequeña iglesia de San Miguel, situada enel moderno barrio de Segur de Calafell; la visita a una de lascasi inexistentes tiendas de pescadores; la Casa Barral, en laque el entrañable escritor Carlos Barral pasó largas y agrada-bles temporadas, bajo la mirada atenta de la Playa deCalafell; las casas de los Indianos como Cal Bolavà o CalPerico, el Monumento al Pescador; el Bote Salvavidas, símbo-lo de identidad para muchos calafellencs con una singulari-dad inimitable: dar vueltas sobre si mismo y recuperar siem-pre su posición original. LA APUESTA> ESCENAS

Lo había visto salir del remolque. Sellamaba Westborough, el número siete, sunúmero. Era tranquilo, de complexión medianay nada en él había de especial, pero le gustó elmodo en que posaba sus cascos sobre la tierradura.

Subió a la grada y se sentó dos asientos ala derecha de una pareja joven que se oculta-ba del sol de septiembre con los programas.Oyó mencionar el nombre de Buster Black III,el favorito, y sonrió confiado.

- Thackeray es pequeño pero es muy rápido alfinal, ¿verdad papá? - dijo un niño unas filaspor encima de él, con emoción.

Estaba tan absorto que no se había dadocuenta de que la grada se había llenado. Loadvirtió cuando una mujer gruesa le propinóun codazo en las costillas antes de ubicarsedefinitivamente en el asiento contiguo. Leparecía escuchar Buster y Thackeray y BlueMoon y Argil por todas partes, y por ningunaWestborough. La mujer gruesa animaba aBuster y daba estentóreas palmas mientras leobservaba de reojo. Se oyó la señal que anun-ciaba la salida.

Buster se puso en cabeza y Thackeray secolocó segundo mientras Westborough que-daba retrasado. Pensó que era buena señalque al principio no se destacase. Westboroughrecuperaba posiciones corriendo suavementepor el exterior. Muy lentamente, acabó porsuperar al pequeño Thackeray, situándose a lapar de Buster. Restaban menos de doscientosmetros cuando Thackeray volvió a la carga y leadelantó. Buster se mantuvo… "¡Victoria paraBuster Black III!", dijo el narrador al fin conenfática alegría.

El bullicio se calmó de pronto y fueatenuándose, poco a poco, hasta desaparecerpor completo. Los jinetes volvían a lo lejos y susmonturas resollaban y brillaban por el sudor altrote contrario. La mujer gruesa corría enestampida camino de la ventana de apuestas,y él estaba tan absorto que no se había dadocuenta de que la grada se había vaciado.
