Benvolgudes famílies,

Aquí teniu el quart número de la nostra revista en anglès Bogamagazine, realitzada pels alumnes de l’escola, en col·laboració amb les mestres d’anglès.

El tema que hem escollit enguany és l’alimentació, aprofitant que ja l’hem treballat al Carnestoltes i també a la Festa de la Primavera.

Aquesta és una revista feta amb molt esforç, dedicació i afecte. A més, és una eina molt motivadora per als alumnes! Com podeu veure, la revista tan sols està disponible en format digital, ja que és l’opció més econòmica i ecològica.

Esperem que us agradi!

Ingredients and tools: 2 medium eggs, 200g caster sugar, 250ml milk, 125ml vegetable oil, 400g plain flour, 3tsp baking powder and a 1tsp salt. A muffin tray and muffin paper cases.

Steps:

1.- Preheat oven to gas mark 6 or a medium temperature. Line muffin tray with paper muffin cases.

2.-Beat eggs in a mixing bowl and then mix in the oil and milk. Add sugar and stir until dissolved.

3.-Add the rest of ingredients: flour , baking powder and salt; and mix until smooth. You can also add extra ingredients.

4.-Fill muffin cases TWO THIRDS full (this is important for the perfect size muffins)and bake them in the middle of the oven for 25 minutes.

5.-Leave to cool (or enjoy warm!!!!!)

6.-You can also put toppings , and decorate with other things.

Ingredients and Tools: A sausage, bread, ketchup, mayonnaise and a pan.

Steps: 1. Put the sausage in a pan and add some olive

oil. Fry it for 10 minutes. 2. Put the bread in the toaster. 3. Place the sausage in a slice of bread. 4. Add the mayonnaise and ketchup.

The result:A perfect and delicious hot dog!!!!!!!

NICO & ELOI 5th B

MOCHI (rice cake)

INGREDIENTS: sweet rice flour, pink food coloring, water, salt, sugar and starch powder.

TOOLS: a cup, spatula, Saran wrap, cutting tray, microwave-safe bowl and a microwave.

Steps

1.Place 1 cup of sweet rice flour, 1,5 gr of salt, 6,6 gr sugar in a microwave-safe bowl.

2.In a bowl add a drop of pink food coloring to ¾ cup water and mix well.

3. Next add the pink water to the rice flour mixture and stir well with a spoon. Push the dough to the

center of the bowl.

4. Cover the dough with Saran wrap and cook on high for 3 minutes in the microwave.

5. Remove the rice cake from the microwave and mix it with a wooden spoon for about 20 seconds.

6. Cover it with the Saran wrap again and put it back in the microwave for another minute.

7. Knead the hot rice cake with a wooden spoon vigorously in a circular motion about 100 times to make it

chewy.

8. Spread ¼ cup of starch powder on your cutting board and put the rice cake on it.

9. Shape into a smooth 4×5 inch rectangle (10 cm x 12 cm) with wet hands and turn it over.

10. Cut the rectangle into 8 even sized pieces with a wooden knife or spatula, and cover with Saran wrap to keep

them from getting dried out.

11. Finally shape the rice cake “squares” into balls.

*Tip: Use starch powder to keep the rice cake from sticking to your fingers.You can also add some honey & sesame seeds to give it more flavour.

Eva and Zoé recipe 5th

Mixed paella

Ingredients and tools: meal for 6 people.

600g rice, 300g rib pig, 250g shrimps,

200g mussels, 400g chicken, 250g

mixed vegetables, 1 small squid, 1 red

pepper, half an onion, 1/3 spoon zafran,

olive oil.

Steps:1. Clean and cut all ingredients.

2. Fry meat and ingredients.

3. Add rice and seafood.

4. Add water.

The result:A delicious Mixed Paella Valenciana!!!
