40.000 cristianos y el caballo de Carlomagno

murieron luchando contra Aguiolando. Hoy, ese campo

es una chopera fruto de las lanzas clavadas.

Pelayo fue testigo de unas luces en el bosque que le indicaron donde estaba enterrado el

Apóstol. Así, pasó a llamarse Campus Stellae, hoy Compostela.

buried outside of the Viana’s Santa María Church.

EL DUQUE DE AQUITANIA vino a buscar a su hermana Felicia. Al negarse a

regresar con él la degolló. Arrepentido, peregrinó a Santiago y a la vuelta se quedó de ermitaño.

He went to look for his sister Felicia. When she refused to come back with him, he slayed her.

Racked with guilt, he made a pilgrimage to Santiago and, on his return, became

a hermit.
