One of the lepers, realizing he had been healed, returned, glorifying God in a loud voice; and he fell at the feet of Jesus and thanked him. Jesus said in reply, “Ten were cleansed, were they not? Where are

Preparing for Next Sunday 29th Sunday in Ordinary Time

In the reading from Exodus, the Israelites, led by Joshua, defeat Amalek in battle with the help of Moses. The Second Letter of Timothy reminds us to study sacred Scripture so that we may be equipped for every good work. In Luke’s Gospel, Jesus tells the parable of the persistent widow helping us to see that God gives us what we need when we place our trust in him.

28th Sunday in Ordinary Time Jesus healed ten lepers in today’s Gospel. Only one (ten percent) came back to say thank you. I, too, have received many blessings from the Lord - indeed, all I am and all I have is a gift! How and how often have I remembered to thank Him?

With a deficit of $3,605 this week, we cannot operate the church. I beg you to take seriously your commitment to God through your church. Please consider increasing your offerings. Year of Mercy Celebration The Parish Community is invited to celebrate the Jubilee Year of Mercy as it draws to an end in November. On Friday, November 18th, join us for an evening of music, prayer and scripture in the style of Taizé. There will be opportunities for reconciliation and adoration of the blessed sacrament. On Saturday, November 19th, we will "Discover Mercy" as we listen and share stories of how God has shown us his mercy in our lives. Please join us for this unique event for the Year of Mercy.
