• El hígado recibe sangre que primero irrigo el intestino, páncreas y bazo.• El hígado recibe su irrigación principal (75%) de la vena porta, que conduce
sangre venosa con poca concentración de oxigeno. • La sangre que llega al hígado por la vena porta proviene del tubo digestivo y del
páncreas y bazo

La sangre de la porta que entra en el hígado contiene:• Sustancias nutritivas y materiales tóxicos absorbidos en el intestino.• Enterocitos y productos de degradación de los eritrocitos provenientes del bazo.• Secreciones endocrinas del páncreas y de las células enteroendocrinas del tubo
digestivo.

Sinusoides – hepatocitos – intercambio de sustancias entre la sangre y las células hepáticas, desembocan en una vena central o centrolobulillar, que drena en las venas sublobulillares.La sangre abandona al hígado a través de las venas hepáticas, que desembocan en la vena cava inferior
