IES AVENIDA DE LOS TOREROS
It's a high school located in Madrid.
The bigger part of the students are immigrants.
Our students participants in the project are in 3rd grade of ESO.Their main characteristic is their low academic status and the
difficulties to go through their learning process. So we areconvinced that new opportunities to learn should be given withnew methodologies and tools.

TOOLKIT FOR INTEGRATION
When we think onA toolkit for integration we rather think on abox which will contain a set of elaborate tools to be used byboth individuals and groups for social integration purposes.
We may ask then who are these individuals or groups, their culturalenvironment, their characteristics, their familiy life, theirworking activity. Follow to this study we can then think on thesuitable tools applicable to them and their needs.

TOOLKIT FOR INTEGRATION
Logroo meeting 23 to 26 March 2011
Our main work, I think, consists therefore on creating the toolswhich will be used by the target groups or individuals subjectof our study.
These tools will stemm from different sources using newpedagogical methodologies and cooperative learning networkaccording to the real deeds of the individuals. Only then we canendure a real advancement in the integration process.

TOOLKIT FOR INTEGRATION
Logroo meeting 23 to 26 March 2011
The integration process takes place when it can preserve thecultural diversity of each other and act as a whole in truecommunication and conviviality within the society so the toolkitshould be such that anyone within a group could use them forthe benefit of the whole community
No distinctions between excluded and integrated then occur . Allhave the same opportunities to use the created tools for theirindividual and collective benefice.
In addition the renovation of tools is permanent as society changespermanently.

TOOLKIT FOR INTEGRATION
Logroo meeting 23 to 26 March 2011
The bad use of these tools can reverse the positive effects of integration. This currently happens as the updating of tools isneglected by educators and learners in their irrespectiveteaching and learning processes.

Lastly we can add that although our created tools are a powerfulsupport in the hands of educators, teachers and learners need
to change mind, to evolve to higher levels of understanding, torenew the vision on education aims if they want to achievesuccessfully an integration process.

Tools
The interaction is carried out through practices which allow toexplore and reinforce cultural senses helpful to communication, integration and individual and collective assertion.
Our statement of work lies on artistic practices as the best meansto empowerment: texts, music, theatre, painting, sculpture, crafts, iconography, performance, interpretation, gestures, spatial, chromatic, and extra-sensory perception either individualized ormixed : a play or performance, for example, conveys a messagethrough a communication tool.
