The Standard & Intensive Course is designed to giveyou the condence to communicate effectively inreal-life situations. The course provides a balancedprogramme, focusing on the skills of speaking,

listening, reading and writing, whilst coveringessential grammar, vocabulary, pronunciation,idioms and colloquial language. It provides effectivetraining for students who need English for work,study or travel and can provide preparation for anumber of exams: IELTS, TOEFL, TOEIC, KET, PET,FCE, CAE CPE.

The Standard course is the perfect choice forstudents who are looking for a short/mediumlength course.

The Intensive course is excellent for students whohave a short amount of time to study and whowant to make a substantial difference to theircommunication ability.

At Castle School we have lots of courses to helpyou learn English fast. If you want to learn English,we have a course for you!

Please note that classes at Elementary level areonly offered on our Standard course (15 hours perweek) and not on the Semi-Intensive or Intensivecourse.

Afternoon and Evening courses are availablepart-time or full-time.

Cambridge ESOL courses at Castle School aredesigned to improve your overall language ability inaddition to developing the language skills necessaryto pass your chosen exam. They provide complete

and careful preparation for all aspects of theexaminations.

Entry onto these courses is dependent on passingthe school entry examination to a sufcient level.

You should have completed an Upper-intermediatelevel course before starting an FCE course and aPre-advanced course before starting a CAE course.

To gain entrance into an English speaking university,have a competitive edge when applying for a job,enhance your career or move to a different country,you need an internationally recognised qualication.The IELTS qualication will prove you have thenecessary standard of English skills required byemployers and universities.

IELTS is the International English Language Testing

System. It measures your ability to communicatein English across all four language skills (listening,reading, writing and speaking)and is for peoplewho intend to study or work where English is thelanguage of communication. The appropriate IELTSscore is now the standard requirement for entry to aUK university. IELTS training improves skills requiredfor studying at university - it is really good practicefor writing essays/taking notes during lectures andresearching topics in libraries and/or online.

ONE-TO-ONE ENGLISH

The aim of this course is to provide an accessibleintroduction to key concepts in todays businessworld. Together with your teacher you will discussyour English language learning priorities and thecore professional skills you wish to focus on.

Emphasis is placed on communication tasks, whichgive you the opportunity to practise uency and buildcondence in business situations. You may alsowant to achieve further success with a recognisedqualication that will make you an asset as anemployee. Business English Certicates, (BEC).

1 Lesson is 45 minutes

15 hours/20 lessons is the minimum numberof hours required for UK student visa issue.

The school is closed on public/bank holidays. You donot get any refund if there is a bank holiday duringyour course.

The aim of this course is to provide you withmodels of language as it is used in contemporarysociety, using topics which are varied and genuinelyinteresting. The classroom activities and worksheetsprovide you with practice in using expressions,conversation strategies and grammatical itemsthat are relevant to your needs in the real world.

Throughout the course the target language,aspects of pronunciation, grammatical items andconversation strategies are presented in context,within a communicative framework, so that youare led to see the link between form and meaning.During the lessons there will be a balance betweenindividual, pair work and group work to help developyour condence and learner autonomy. Teacherswill use a variety of course book and authenticsupplementary materials.

One-to-One tuition is the ultimate course for makingmaximum progress during a short period of time.
