El Centro Nacional de Certificación y Acreditación ha renovado la acreditación* a la totalidad de los Centros de Evaluación, al menos en una ocasión. *El Artículo 14 Fracción II del Reglamento del Secretariado Ejecutivo establece que la vigencia para la acreditación de los Centros de Evaluación y Control de Confianza es de dos años.

Delimitación del universo
Derivado del Acuerdo de la Comisión Permanente de Certificación y Acreditación, ratificado en la XXXV Sesión del Consejo Nacional de Seguridad Pública celebrada el 20 de diciembre de 2013, que a la letra dice:
ACUERDO 01/VIII/2013 “La Comisión Permanente de Certificación y Acreditación acuerda que el Centro Nacional de Certificación y Acreditación, en la normatividad que emita a partir de la fecha, determine que los Centros de Evaluación consideren para las evaluaciones de control de confianza y la emisión del certificado correspondiente, al personal del Servicio Profesional de Carrera de las Instituciones de Seguridad Pública, es decir, a Policías, Ministerios Públicos y Peritos, así como altos mandos de las mismas; y conforme a las capacidades de los Centros, sigan aplicando evaluaciones a los servidores públicos ajenos a dicho servicio, de conformidad con lo establecido en las leyes y reglamentos correspondientes. Por su parte el Centro Nacional establecerá los lineamientos específicos para el personal administrativo que deberá ser considerado en las evaluaciones, atendiendo a su nivel jerárquico, acceso a información sensible o nivel de mando y decisión, o en su caso, evaluación específica que lo amerite.” A partir del ejercicio 2014, el seguimiento de avances en evaluación que el Secretariado Ejecutivo del Sistema Nacional de Seguridad Pública emite mensualmente, se centra en el personal del Servicio Profesional de Carrera de las Instituciones de Seguridad Pública y sus altos mandos, y excluye al personal administrativo y la policía complementaria u homóloga.
