Internacional dedicado a “UNA SALUD” y para

avanzar hacia un mundo sanitariamente más seguro.

OBJETIVO: Contribuir a la integración de las

instituciones científicas, académicas y productivas en el

enfrentamiento intersectorial y multidisciplinario a los

crecientes riesgos sanitarios globales que amenazan la

salud pública, a partir de un enfoque holístico a sus

causas y factores condicionantes.

PARTICIPANTES: Investigadores, profesores,

especialistas, técnicos, estudiantes, funcionarios y

directivos de centros de investigación, universidades,

sector agropecuario, industria farmacéutica e industria

alimentaria, de los sectores público y privado.

MODALIDADES: Conferencias temáticas, estudios de

casos, paneles de expertos, representantes de

instituciones y sectores participantes. Debates

generales entre todos los asistentes.

TEMÁTICAS GENERALES:

• “Una Salud” como actual paradigma de la prevención y

el control sanitario global.

• El enfoque integrador a la problemática sanitaria en la

formación de pre y postgrado de los recursos humanos

del sector agropecuario y la salud pública.

Cooperación intersectorial. Enfermedades emergentes

y reemergentes.

• La inocuidad alimentaria “de la granja al plato”.

Situación, retos y perspectivas.

perspectivas.

• Un enfoque a las diversas fuentes de contaminación

de los alimentos en toda la cadena productiva. Retos y

perspectivas.

Indicar en el Asunto, la modalidad en la que desea

presentar (oral, poster, simposio, etc.). El Comité Científico

evaluará los resúmenes. Las notificaciones de aceptación

de resúmenes serán comunicadas hasta el 9 de septiembre

de 2017.

Por favor, a fin garantizar del procesamiento eficiente de

los resúmenes por el Comité Científico, preste atención a

los siguientes requisitos:

• Los resúmenes en español o inglés tendrán un máximo

de 300 palabras, a un solo espacio, tipo de letra 10pt

Times New Roman, todos los márgenes justificados, en

Microsoft Word o un software compatible.

• Título: En español e inglés, letras en negrita y

mayúsculas.

• Proporcione los nombres completos de los autores, su

afiliación y dirección electrónica. Si tiene dos apellidos,

combine ambos con un guión (-). Subraye el nombre del

autor presentador. Deje un espacio libre.

• Resumen: Describa el objetivo del trabajo, brevemente

describa la metodología empleada, resultados y

conclusiones. No incluir subtítulos (Ej.; INTRODUCCIÓN,

etc.) o referencias bibliográficas.

dedicated to “One Health”, moving towards a

healthier world.

DATE: October 12th-13th, 2017

OBJECTIVE: Contribute to the integration of scientific,

academic and productive institutions when facing the

growing global health risks which threaten public health,

based on a holistic approach to their causes and

conditioning factors

PARTICIPANTS: Researchers, professors, specialists,

technicians, students, officials and managers of research

centers and universities, the agricultural sector, and the

pharmaceutical and food industry of the public and

private sectors.

MODALITIES: Thematic lectures, case studies, panels

of experts, representatives of institutions and ministries.

General debates among all the participants.

GENERAL TOPICS:

• “One Health” as the current paradigm for prevention

and global health control.

• The integrative approach to health problems in the

training of pre and postgraduate human resources in

the agricultural sector and public health.

• The prevention of zoonoses and their current

challenges. Intersectoral cooperation. Emerging and

reemerging diseases.

• Food safety “from farm to plate”. Situation, challenges

and perspectives.

• Antimicrobial resistance. Global issues. Challenges for

the pharmaceutical industry. Current situation and

perspectives.

• An approach to the various food contamination sources

throughout the production chain. Challenges and

perspectives.

You should indicate in the subject the modality in which

you want to present it(oral, poster, symposium, etc.).

The Scientific Committee will evaluate the abstracts and

communicate the acceptance before September 9th,

2017.

For the abstracts to be efficiently processed by the

Scientific Committee, please pay careful attention to the

following requirements:

• Abstracts in Spanish or English with a maximum of 300

words, single‐spaced, in Times New Roman, font 10,

all margins justified using Microsoft Word or compatible

software.

• Title: in Spanish and English, bold capitals and

standard letter.

• Provide the full names of the authors, their affiliation

and email addresses. If the authors have two

surnames, combine both with a hyphen. Underline the

name of the author who will present.

• Leave a free space.

• Summary: Describe the objective of the paper; briefly

describe the methodology used and then the results

and conclusions. Do not include subtitles (e.g.

Curso-Taller: “Una Salud”, un enfoque integrador renovado ante los crecientes riesgos sanitarios globales.

Course description: The course is designed to teach the basic concepts of syndromic surveillance using R Language and Environment for Statistical Computing. Participants will be given an overview of the basic principles on surveillance in order to better understand how syndromic surveillance can complement its traditional forms. Through a series of hands-on exercises, participants will learn the theory underlying syndromic surveillance as well as how to create, describe and visualize syndromic time series and how to fit temporal and spatial-temporal event detection algorithms to syndromic time series. The goal of the course is to provide participants with the methods needed to design and implement a functioning syndromic surveillance system. We are using the R Language because it is a powerful and well accepted statistical software application. It is also freely available, making possible for people with limited resources to use the software for all the analyses needed to run a fully operational syndromic surveillance system. Learning objectives, participants will: • Understand the theory underpinning surveillance and syndromic surveillance. • Be able to create, describe, display, and model syndromic time series data. • Know how event detection algorithms work and how to optimize them to different time series and types of epidemics- • Learn how to use R.
