LAS MADRES!

ELLAS LO SIGUEN PORQUE CONOCEN SU VOZ

Pbro. Jorge A. Román C u a n d o e r a n i ñ o , acostumbraba acompañar a mi Papá en sus viajes de trabajo por la República Mexicana y recuerdo que más de una vez nos encontramos con algún rebaño de ovejas que

ocupaba la carretera siguiendo a su pastor y pese a las protestas de mi Papá, no quedaba otro remedio que disminuir la velocidad al mínimo y pacientemente ir al paso del rebaño. En una ocasión se encontraron dos rebaños que iban en sentidos opuestos, pero lo sorprendente es que pasaron las ovejas de uno y otro rebaño sin confundirse entre ellas. Recientemente le pregunté a un Pastor que por qué no se confundían o mesclaban las ovejas de uno y otro rebaño y me dijo que son muy fieles y solo siguen la voz de su pastor a quién conocen y no siguen a ninguno otro. Es una lástima que hoy hay muchas ovejas que no conocen la voz de Cristo como su Pastor en el rebaño de la única Iglesia que El fundó y siguen la voz de pastores falsos que no entran por la puerta, sino que confunden y pierden a las ovejas. Es necesario aclarar que nuestra acción Ecuménica nos lleva a colaborar, a trabajar y a orar junto con los fieles de otras denominaciones Religiosas que con todo respeto y fe siguen a Cristo. Ellos nos respetan como Católicos y nos ayudan ya que es más lo que nos une que lo que nos separa; pero lamentablemente hay sectas surgidas por autonombrados Pastores que confunden, engañan y critican nuestras costumbres, devociones y signos sagrados y hasta blasfeman en contra de la Virgen Santísima y nuestros Santos. ¿Qué se puede hacer? Primeramente, conocer nuestra fe y conocer a Cristo y a su Iglesia. Participar de manera activa en lo grupos de Oración, Biblia, Catequesis y en los programas de Evangelización tales como ¨La Justicia Brota De La Fe¨. Participar fielmente en las Misas Dominicales y sobre todo, la Oración en familia, ya que la familia que ora unida, permanece unida. Cuando alguien nos quiera sonsacar o invitar a visitar su secta, con mucho respeto, pero con firmeza a la vez, hay que decirles que confiamos más en Cristo que fundó nuestra Iglesia que en el fundador de su secta.

As a kid, I used to

accompany my Dad to work,

traveling through Mexico. I

remember on more than one occasion, we found a flock

of sheep occupying the road following their shepherd.

Despite my Dad’s protests, there was no option but to

slow down and patiently follow the herd. Once, there

were two herds that went in opposite directions, and

surprisingly enough, neither flocks got confused and

continued to follow their shepherd. I recently asked a

pastor why neither flock got confused and he told me that

they are very loyal and only follow the voice of their

pastor who they know and do not follow any other.

It is a pity that today there are many sheep who

do not know the voice of Christ as Pastor in the fold of

the one Church He founded, and follow the voice of false

shepherds who only confuse them more.

It is necessary to clarify that our economy leads

us to collaborate, work and pray with the faithful of other

religious denominations who, with all faith and respect,

follow Christ. They respect us as Catholics and help us,

since it is more that unites us, than divides us; but

unfortunately there are cults arising from self-appointed

pastors who confuse, deceive and criticize our customs,

devotions and sacred signs and even blaspheme the

Blessed Virgin Mary and our Saints.

What can we do? First of all, know our faith,

know Christ and His Church. Actively participate in the

Bible, prayer groups, Catechesis and Evangelization

programs. Participate faithfully in Sunday Mass, and

above all, in family Prayer, for the family that prays

together, stays together.

When someone wants to coax or invite us to visit

their cult, with much respect, but firmly at the same time,

we must say that we trust more in Christ who founded our

Church, than the founder of their cult.

MOTHER

A very good

friend of mine, who

married very young,

said she realized when

she had her first child,

that she did not really want a daughter, but rather a doll,

since no one had given her one during her childhood.

There have been very basic dolls, dating back

thousands of years. Since prehistoric times, the maternal

instinct is manifested in all girls who play with dolls, who

with they can lull, change clothes, comb and pamper

them, in training to be Mom. Not like the Barbies, who

create in a girl a longing to be a model or an independent

woman.

The Blessed Mary is the best mother figure , who

wisely knew how to love, care for and educate her Divine

Son, and become His most faithful follower.

My respect and appreciation goes out to all

mothers, who in modern times have to be providers of

home, workers, and relentless Mothers, which means they

have to be doctors, teachers, psychologists, detectives,

artists , singers, cooks, superheroes and many other

things, to ensure that their children are good men and

women.

Congratulations to the Mothers who know how to

educate their children, raise them to be responsible and

teach them to make the right decisions in life. To the

mothers who are educated, who care to attend family/

parenting meetings, who are close to their children and

despite the many chores they have, spend time with their

children to help them with their homework, to play with

them and talk with them.

My praise and admiration for single mothers who

have to act as both father and mother.

The calendar shouldn't be our reminder once a

year that we should love our mother, we should show our

love and respect for them everyday. One shouldn't talk

back, nor ignore or disobey them. They deserve more

than flowers or gifts. Love and respect daily.

U n a m u y buena amiga que se casó muy joven, decía que se dio cuenta cuando tuvo a su primera hija, que ella en realidad no quería

una hija, sino una muñeca, ya que nadie le había regalado una durante su infancia. Se han encontrado muñecas muy rudimentarias que datan de miles de años. Desde la prehistoria, el instinto maternal se manifiesta en toda niña, que juega con muñecas a las que puede arrullar, cambiar de ropa, peinar y mimar, entrenándose para ser Mamá. No como las Barbies que crean en la niña un anhelo de ser una modelo de mujer independiente. María Santísima es el mejor modelo de Madre, que supo sabiamente amar, cuidar y educar a su Hijo Divino, para luego convertirse en su más fiel seguidora. Mis respetos y reconocimiento para todas las Madres que en los tiempos modernos, tienen que ser proveedoras del hogar, trabajadoras y a la vez, incansables Madres, lo cual significa que tienen que ser doctoras, maestras, psicólogas, generalas, inspectoras aduanales, detectives, artistas, cantantes, cocineras, súper héroes y muchas otras cosas más para lograr que sus creaturas sean mujeres y hombres de bien. Felicidades a las Madres que saben educar a sus hijos para que sean responsables y que sepan tomar las decisiones correctas en la vida. A las Madres que se preparan y se educan, las que se preocupan por asistir a las juntas de Padres de Familia, las que están cercanas a sus hijos y pese a los muchos quehaceres que tienen de por sí, dedican tiempo a sus hijos para ayudarles con su tarea, para jugar y para platicar con ellos. Mi reconocimiento y admiración a las Madres solteras que tienen que fungir como Padre y Madre a la vez. Que no sea el calendario el que nos recuerde un día al año que debemos amar a nuestra Madre, sino que todos los días, le mostremos nuestro amor y respeto. No se vale contestarle mal, ni ignorarle , ni desobedecerle. Más que flores o regalos. Amor y respeto diario. FELICIDADES.
