Installation Place the player on a flat, hard, and stable surface

In a cabinet, allow about 10cm (4 inches) of freespace all around the player for adequateventilation.

Do not expose your player to extremetemperatures or humidity.

The apparatus shall not be exposed to drippingor splashing and that no objects filled with liquidsuch as vase shall be placed on the apparatus.

No naked flame sources, such as lighted candles,shall be placed on the apparatus.

The ventilation should not be impeded bycovering the ventilation openings with items,such as newpapers, table-cloths, curtains, et.

Maintenance When a disc becomes dirty,

clean it with a cleaning cloth.Wipe the disc from thecenter out, in a straight line.

Do not expose the player,batteries or discs to humidity,rain, sand or excessive heat(caused by heatingequipment or direct sunlight). Always keep thedisc tray closed to avoid dust on the lens.

Do not use solvents such as benzene, thinner,commercially available cleaners, or anti-staticspray intended for colour discs.

The lens may cloud over when the player issuddenly moved from cold to warmsurroundings, making it impossible to play a disc.Leave the player in the warm environment untilthe moisture evaporates.

Connections

IMPORTANT!– The type plate is located at thebottom of the system.– Before connecting the AC power cordto the wall outlet, ensure that all otherconnections have been made.– Never make or change anyconnections with the power switched on.

Connecting the right speakerConnect the supplied wires of the right speakerto SPEAKER RIGHT on the left speaker, red wireto red jack ( “+”), black wire to black jack (“-”).Fully insert the stripped portion of the speakerwire into the terminal as shown.

Notes:– Ensure that the speaker wires are correctlyconnected. Improper connections may damage thesystem due to short-circuit.– For optimal sound performance, use the suppliedspeakers.– Do not connect more than one speaker to anyone pair of +/- speaker jacks.– Do not connect speakers with an impedancelower than the speakers supplied. Please refer tothe SPECIFICATIONS section of this manual.

Note:– To avoid magnetic interference, do not positionthe speakers too close to your TV.

Connecting the power cord

IMPORTANT!– If your system is equipped with aVoltage Selector, set the VOLTAGESELECTOR (located on the back of theleft speaker) to match the local powerline.– Never make or change anyconnection with the power switched on.– The DVD player can only be operatedafter the supplied DIN cable isconnected.

1 Connect the supplied DIN cable to DVD player’sDIN jack and the left speaker’s DIN jack.

2 Connect the supplied AC power cord to the leftspeaker’s AC MAINS and the wall socket.

Connections

Connecting a TV set

You must connect a TV to your DVD microsystem in order to view the playback of DVD/VCD and picture disc.

IMPORTANT!– There are various ways to connect thesystem to a TV. You only need to makeone of the best connections, dependingon the capabilities of your TV system.– S-Video or Component Videoconnection provides higher picturequality. These options must be availableon your TV set.– Connect the system directly to the TVset.

Connect the COMPOSITE VIDEO jack tothe video input jack on the TV using a videocable (yellow).

OROption 1Connect the S-VIDEO output jack to the S-Video input jack on the TV using an S-Videocable (not supplied).

OROption 2

Use the component video cables (red/blue/green, not supplied) to connect the DVD microsystem’s COMPONENT VIDEO OUT videooutput jacks to the corresponding componentvideo input jacks (or labeled as Pr/Cr Pb/Cb Yor YUV) on the TV.

IMPORTANT!– The progressive scan video quality isonly possible when using Y Pb Pr and aprogressive scan TV is required. (Proceedto “Setting up the TV for detailedProgressive Scan setup.)

Connecting additionalequippments

IMPORTANT!– Some discs are copy-protected. Youcannot record the disc through a VCR ordigital recording device.– When making connections, make surethe colour of the cable plugs matches thecolour of jacks.– Always refer to the owner’s manual ofthe other equipment for completeconnection and usage details.

Viewing and listening to the playback ofother equipment A

Using the audio cables (red/white, not supplied)Connect the system’s AUX IN (R/L) jacks tothe AUDIO OUT jacks on the other audio/visualdevice (such as a TV, VCR, Laser Disc player orcassette deck).

Before starting operation, press AUX on theremote repeatedly in order to activate the inputsource (AUX).

Using the VCR for recording DVDs B

Connect one of the system's COMPOSITEVIDEO jacks to the corresponding VIDEO INjack, and LINE OUT (R/L) jacks to theAUDIO IN jacks on the VCR. This will allow youto make analogue stereo (two channel, right andleft) recordings.

Recording (digital) C

Connect the system’s COAXIAL OUT (digitalout) jack to the DIGITAL IN jack on a digitalrecording device (DTS-Digital Theater Systemcompatible, with a Dolby Digital decoder, forexample).

Before operation, set COAXIAL OUTPUTaccording to the audio connection.

Getting Started

Step 1: Using Remote ControlIMPORTANT!– Before using the remote control,remove the insulation plastic tab asshown in the picture below.– If the remote control does notfunction correctly or the operating rangeis reduced, replace the battery with anew (CR2025) battery.

1 Push to open the battery tray.

2 Replace a new battery according to theindicated polarity.

3 Push the battery tray back to close it.

Using the Remote Control to operatethe Player

1 Aim the Remote Control directly at the remotesensor (IR) on the front panel.

2 Select the source you wish tocontrol by pressing one of thesource (DISC or AUX) selectbuttons on the remote.

3 Then select the desiredfunction (for example,ÉÅ, ¡ or ™).

CAUTION!– Remove the battery if it is exhaustedor if the Remote Control is not beingused for a long time.– Batteries contain chemicalsubstances, so they should be disposed ofproperly.

Step 2: Setting up the TVIMPORTANT!Make sure you have completed all thenecessary connections. (See“Connecting TV”).

1 Switch the DVD system on and then selectDISC source. (See “Switching the systemon/off”).

2 Turn on the TV and set to the correct video-inchannel. You should see the blue Philips DVDbackground screen on the TV. Usually these channels are between thelowest and highest channels and may be calledFRONT, A/V IN, or VIDEO. See your TV manualfor more details. Or, you may go to channel 1 on your TV, thenpress the Channel up button repeatedly untilyou see the Video In channel. Or, the TV Remote Control may have abutton or switch that chooses different videomodes. Or, set the TV to channel 3 or 4 if you areusing an RF modulator.

Selecting the color system that matchesyour TV set

This DVD system is compatible with both NTSCand PAL. For the playback of a DVD disc on thisDVD system, the color systems of the DVD, TVset and DVD System should match.

1 Turn on your TV.

2 Turn off your TV progressive scan mode or turnon interlaced mode (refer to your TV usermanual).

3 Press STANDBY-ON B (B on the remote)to turn on the DVD player.

4 Select the correct Video Input channel.

5 Press SYSTEM MENU on the remote control. The menu bar will appear across the top ofthe TV screen.

6 Select icon and press 4. Playback will pause.

ACTIVATING PROGRESSIVE SCAN1. ENSURE YOUR TV HAS PROGRESSIVE SCAN.2. CONNECT USING YPRPB(RGB) VIDEO CABLES3. IF THERE IS A BLANK SCREEN, WAIT FOR 15 SECONDS FOR AUTO RECOVER.

8 Press à / á to highlight OK in the menu andpress OK on the remote to confirm. The screen message for further progressivescan setting confirmation will appear.There will be a distorted picture on yourTV at this state until you turn on theprogressive scan mode on your TV.

9 Turn on your TV progressive scan mode (refer toyour TV user manual).

0 In the confirmation menu, press à / á tohighlight OK in the menu and press OK on theremote to confirm.

Getting Started

1 In disc mode, stop playback then pressSYSTEM MENU. The menu bar will appear across the top ofthe TV screen.

2 Select icon and press 4.

3 Press à / á / 4 / 3 keys on the remotecontrol to navigate in the menu. Move to , and press á. Move to “TV TYPE” , and press á.

MULTI

– Select this if the connected TV set iscompatible with both NTSC and PAL (multisystem). The output format will be consistent witthe video signal of the disc.

NTSC– Select this if the connected TV set is NTSCsystem. It will change the video signal of a PALvideo disc and output to NTSC system.

PAL– Select this if the connected TV set is PALsystem. It will change the video signal of anNTSC disc and output to PAL format.

4 Select an item and press OK. The screen messages for further settingconfirmation may appear. Follow the on-screeninstructions to proceed to confirm the setting ornot.

To remove the menuPress SYSTEM MENU.

Setting up Progressive Scan feature (forProgressive Scan TV only)

The progressive scan display twice the numberof frames per seconds than interlaced scanning(ordinary normal TV system). With nearly doublethe number of lines, progressive scan offershigher picture resolution and quality.

! Press SYSTEM MENU on the remote to exitthe system menu. The setup is complete now and you can star tenjoying the high quality picture.

To deactivate Progressive manually

When the distorted sign still appears onthe TV, it may be because the connected TVdoes not accept progressive signals, andprogressive is set by mistake. You must reset theunit to interlace format.

1 Turn off your TV progressive scan mode or turnon to interlaced mode (refer to your TV usermanual).

2 Turn off progressive scan by selecting “OFF”under PROGRESSIVE menu, then pressSYSTEM MENU on the remoste to exit thesystem menu.

To turn off progressive scan, you may also firstopen the disc door, then hold down ™ on thefront panel, and press numeric key “1” on theremote. Progressive scan is turned off.

Step 3: Setting languagepreference

You can select your own preferred languagesettings. This DVD system will automaticallyswitch to the selected language whenever youload a disc. If the language selected is notavailable on the disc, the disc’s default languagewill be used instead. The OSD language in thesystem menu will remain once selected.

Basic Operations

IMPORTANT!– Before you operate the system,complete the connection procedures.– When the system is switched to Standbymode, it is still consuming power.Todisconnect the system from the powersupply completely, remove the AC powerplug from the wall socket.

Switching the system on/off

Press STANDBY ONB (B on the remote). B lamp on the front panel will light off, andthe system’s display information will be displayed.

Press DISC, or AUX on the remote (orSOURCE on the system). The system will switch to the selected source.

To switch the system to standby mode

Press STANDBY ONB (B on the remote). B lamp on the front panel will light up, andthe system’s display information will be turnedoff.

Power saving automatic standbyAs a power-saving feature, the system willautomatically switch to Standby mode if youdon’t press any button within 30 minutes in thestop mode.

Volume controlPress VOLUME (+/-) (or VOL +/- on theremote) to increase or decrease the volumelevel. The display briefly shows ”VOL” and a volumevalue from “01” to “39” ( “MIN” or “MAX” isdisplayed when adjusted to the lowest or highestvolume level).

To switch off the volume temporarily Press MUTE on the remote.

Playback will continue without sound and“MUTE” is displayed briefly.

To activate sound reproduction, you can:– press MUTE again;– adjust the volume controls;– change source.

Sound ControlDBB (Dynamic Bass Boost)

DBB enhances the bass response.

Press DBB to enable or disable DBB feature. If DBB is activated, “DBB” will be shown.

Helpful hints: – Some discs might be recorded in highmodulation, which causes a distortion at highvolume. If this occurs, switch off DBB or reduce thevolume.

DSC (Digital Sound Control)

DSC provides a different type of preset soundequalizer setting.

Press DSC on the remote (or on the system)repeatedly to select:CLASSIC, POP, ROCK or JAZZ The display shows the selected sound setting.

DVDs must be labeled for ALL regions or Region4 in order to play on this DVD system. Youcannot play discs that are labeled for otherregions.

Playing discs

1 For DVDs and VCDs, make sure that the systemis properly connected to your TV (SeeConnecting a TV), and your TV is turned onand set to video-in channel (See Setting upthe TV).

2 Press SOURCE on the system once or moreto select DVD mode ( or DISC on the remotecontrol). You should see the blue Philips DVDbackground screen on the TV.

3 Push OPEN/CLOSE on the top of the systemto open the disc tray.

4 Insert a disc with the print side facing up andclose the disc tray.

5 Playback will start automatically (depending onthe disc type). If a disc menu appears on the TV, see “Usingthe Disc Menu”. If the disc is locked by parental control, youmust enter your four-digit password. (See“Restricting playback by setting parental level”).

To interrupt playback PressÉÅ.

“PAUSE” is displayed briefly on the TV screen.

To resume playback, press ÉÅ again.

To stop playback Press 9.

Using the Disc MenuDepending on the disc, a menu may appear onthe TV screen once you load the disc.

To select a playback feature or item

Use à / á / 4 / 3 and OK or NumericKeypad (0-9) on the remote control, thenpressÉÅ to start playback.

Using PBC feature (available for2.0-version VCD only)

PBC playback allows you to play Video CDsinteractively, following the menu on the display,such as allowing you to select favourite songs.

To switch PBC on or off1 In disc mode, press SYSTEM MENU.

The menu bar will appear across the top ofthe TV screen.

2 Press à / á /4 / 3 keys on the remotecontrol to navigate in the menu. Press à / á to move to PBC option, andpress 4. If PBC was ON, it will switch to OFF andstart playback from the beginning of the disc. If PBC was OFF, it will switch to ON andreturn to menu screen. When PBC is ON, pressing DISC MENUwill return to menu screen.

Resuming playback During playback, press 9 once to stop the

playback in resume mode, then pressÉÅ tostart playback from where you have stopped.

To cancel the resume mode In the stop position, press 9 again to fully stop

the playback. Or open the disc door, or switchthe system to standby mode.

Selecting and searching

Selecting a different track/chapter

For DVD/VCD/CD/MP3: During playback, briefly press ¡ / ™ once or

more until your desired track/chapter numberappears.

Or,use the Numeric Keypad (0-9) (only for VCD(PBC OFF), CD and MP3) on the remotecontrol to directly input your track/chapternumber. After selecting, playback will automaticallystart from the beginning of the selected chapter/track.

Helpful hints: – Some VCDs have a single track, so trackselecting or an invalid input value for the currentdisc will be ingored.

– If the player has been set to repeat chapter(track), pressing this button will replay the samechapter (track) from its beginning.

Repeat A-B

For DVD/VCD/CD:1 Press A-B at your chosen starting point.

2 Press A-B again at your chosen end point. The section will now repeat continuously.

A-B play is available within a chapter of DVDor a track.

3 To exit the sequence, press A-B again. “A TO B CANCELLED” is displayed briefly on

the TV screen.

Fast forwarding/reversing

For DVD/VCD/CD/MP3:1 During playback, press á/à repeatedly to

select fast search speed in forward (FF) orreverse (FR) playback. The disc plays at a high speed with no sound.

2 To resume to normal playback, pressÉÅ. Or, press á/à repeatedly until “PLAY” is

displayed on the TV screen.

Helpful hints: – For VCD/CD/MP3, fast searching forward/backward is available only within the same track.

GOTO

1 During playback, press GOTO once or more onthe remote control. For VCD with PBC feature, PBC must beturned off first.

TV screen shows various search bars in thesequence as follows:

For DVDs: (used to select chapter number, or title field by

using 1 2 on the remote control)

(used to select playtime within the current title)

2 To return to normal speed, pressÉÅ ,or pressSLOW repeatedly until “ PLAY” is displayed.

Programming favourite tracks

For VCDs/CDsYou can select and program up to 99 desiredtracks for playback in the desired sequence. Ifyou like, store any track/chapter/title more thanonce.

1 During playback, press 9 twice to fully stop theplayback.

2 Press PROG on the remote control (orPRGOGRAM on the system) to activateprogramming mode.

On the TV screen, “PROGRAM” and“P 00:00” are displayed.

On the system’s display, “PRG” flashes, andP00: 00 is displayed.

3 Use the Numeric Keypad (0-9) on theremote control to enter your desired tracknumber.

4 Press OK on the remote to store the track. P00 is changed to P01 , indicating the first

programmed track is stored and the nextprogram sequence is available.

5 Repeat steps 3-4 to store other tracks. If you attempt to program more than 99tracks, FULL is displayed, and no track can bestored.

6 PressÉÅ to playback the program. “PRG” is displayed during playback.

To Erase program You can erase program by doing one of the

following: During program playback, press 9 two times. Select AUX source. Open the disc door. “PRG” disappears from the display.

Zooming allows you to enlarge the video/ JPEGimage during playback.

Press ZOOM repeatedly to zoom in on theplayback video image. For JPEP picture disc, press ZOOM todisplay “ZOOM ON”, then press ¡/ ™ to selectdifferent enlarging rates. Image size enlarges at different rates.

To return to normal playback, press ZOOMrepeatedly until “ZOOM OFF “ is displayed.

Helpful hints: – When zooming in, you may use à / á/4/3on the remote control to pan a picture across yourTV screen in pause position or during playback.

DVD Menu Operations

Restricting playback by setting parentallevel

Some DVDs may have a parental level assignedto the complete disc or to certain scenes on thedisc. This feature lets you set a playback limitationlevel. The rating levels are from 1 to 8 and arecountry specific. You can prohibit the playing ofcertain discs that are not suitable for yourchildren or have certain discs played withalternative scenes.

1 In disc mode, press SYSTEM MENU.

2 Select icon and press 4. Playback will pause.

3 Press à / á/4/3 on the remote control tonavigate in the menu. Move to , and press á. Move to “PARENTAL” and press á.

4 Use the numeric keys (0-9) to enter the four-digit code. You may have to enter the samecord twice.

5 Press 4/3 to select a rating level between 1-8and press OK. DVDs rated above the level you select willnot play unless you enter your four-digitpassword or choose a higher level rating. Select“No Parental” to deactivate Parental level andhave all discs play.

6 Press SYSTEM MENU again to remove themenu.

Rating explanations

NO PARENTAL - It will play all discs. 8 ADULT - material for adults only; riewed only

by adults due to graphic sexual scenes, violence,or language.

7 NC-17 - No children under 17; notrecommended for children under 17.

6 PG-R - Parental Guidance - Restricted;recommended that parents restrict childrenunder 17 from viewing or allow them to viewonly when supervised by a parent or adultguardian.

4 PG-13 - Material is unsuitable for childrenunder age 13.

3 PG - Parental Guidance suggested. 1 G - General Audience; recommended as

acceptable for viewers of all ages.

- OSD language (menu language) To set the screen display language. The default

setting is English.

- Default If RESET is selected, all the items in the setup

menu will be reset to default setting, exceptParental Setting and Password.

If a fault occurs, first check the points listed below before taking the system for repair. If youare unable to remedy a problem by following these hints, consult your dealer or Philips forhelp.

No power.

No picture.

Distorted or poor picture.

Completely distorted picture or black/white picture.

Check if the AC power cord is properlyconnected.

Press STANDBY ONB on the DVD System orB on the remote to turn on the power.

Check if the TV is switched on. Check the video connection. Press SOURCE on the DVD player repeatedly

to select “DVD” or press DISC on the remote. Set your TV to the correct Video In channel. This

channel is usually near channel 00. Or, you mayhave a button on the TV remote control thatselects Auxiliary or A/V IN channel. See your TVowner’s manual for details. Or, change channelsat the TV until you see DVD screen on the TV.

If the progressive scan feature is activated butthe connected TV does not support progressivesignals or the cables are not connectedaccordingly, see page 13-14 for properprogressive scan setup or deactivate theprogressive scan feature as below:1) Turn off your TV progressive scan mode orturn on to interlaced mode.2) Select “OFF” in PROGRESSIVE menu ofsystem setup menu to turn off progressive, thenpress SYSTEM MENU to exit the menu.

Sometimes a small amount of picture distortionmay appear. This is not a malfunction.

Clean the disc.

TV has a colour system standard. If the disc’s orDVD system’s colour system is different thanyour TV’s colour system, the picture may bedistorted or colourless.

The aspect ratio of the screen cannot bechanged even though you have set the TVshape.

No sound or distorted sound.

The micro DVD player does not startplayback.

The DVD micro system does notrespond when the buttons are pressed.

Cannot activate some features, such asAngles, Subtitles, or multi-languageAudio.

The aspect ratio is fixed on the DVD disc. Depending on the TV, it may not be possible to

change the aspect ratio.

Adjust the volume. Check that the speakers are connected

correctly. Replace the speaker cables. Disconnect the headphones. The system is in pause, slow motion or fast

forward/reverse mode, press ÉÅ (or ÉÅon the remote) to resume normal play mode.

Insert a readable disc with the playback sidefacing down.

Check the disc type, colour system and regionalcode. Check for any scratches or smudges onthe disc.

Press SYSTEM MENU to turn off the setupmenu screen.

Cancel the parental control rating function orchange the rating level.

Moisture has condensed inside the system.Remove the disc and leave the system turnedon for about an hour.

Disconnect the power plug from the outlet andinsert again.

Multi-language sound or subtitle is notrecorded on the DVD.

Changing the language for the sound or subtitleis prohibited on the DVD.

The features may not be available on the disc.

The remote control does not function.

Low hum or buzz sound.

Unable to select Progressive Scan

Select the correct source (DISC or AUX forexample) before pressing the function button.

Point the remote control at the remote sensorof the unit.

Reduce the distance to the player. Remove any possible obstacles. Replace the battery with new one. Check that the battery is loaded correctly.

Place the DVD micro system as far away aspossible from electrical devices that may becausing interference.

Check all speakers for correct polarity.

Check that the output of the video signal isswitched to 'Ypbpr'.

Glossary

Analog: Sound that has not been turned intonumbers. Analog sound varies, while digital soundhas specific numerical values. These jacks sendaudio through two channels, the left and right.

Aspect ratio: The ratio of vertical andhorizontal sizes of a displayed image. Thehorizontal vs. vertical ratio of conventional TVs. is4:3, and that of wide-screens is 16:9.

AUDIO OUT Jacks: Jacks on the back of theDVD System that send audio to another system(TV set, Stereo, etc.).

Bit Rate: The amount of data used to hold agiven length of music; measured in kilobits persecond, or kbps. Or, the speed at which yourecord. Generally, the higher the bit rate thebetter the sound quality. However, higher bitrates use more space on a Disc.

Chapter: Sections of a picture or a musicpiece on a DVD that are smaller than titles. Atitle is composed of several chapters. Eachchapter is assigned a chapter number enablingyou to locate the chapter you want.

Component Video Out Jacks: Jacks on theback of the DVD System that send high-qualityvideo to a TV set that has Component Video Injacks (R/G/B, Y/Pb/Pr, etc.).

Disc menu: A screen display prepared for theselection of images, sound, subtitles, multi-angles,etc recorded on a DVD.

Digital: Sound that has been converted intonumerical values. Digital sound is available whenyou use the DIGITAL AUDIO OUT COAXIALor OPTICAL jacks. These jacks send audiothrough multiple channels, instead of just twochannels as analog does.

Dolby Digital: A surround sound systemdeveloped by Dolby Laboratories containing upto six channels of digital audio (front left andright, surround left and right and center).

DTS: Digital Theater Systems. This is a surroundsound system, but different from Dolby Digital.The formats were developed by differentcompanies.

JPEG: A still-picture data compression systemproposed by the Joint Photographic ExpertGroup, which features small decrease in imagequality in spite of its high compression ratio.

MP3: A file format with a sound datacompression system, “MPE” is the abbreviation ofMotion Picture Experts Group 1 (or MPEG-1)Audio Layer 3. Through the MP3 format, oneCD-R or CD-RW can contain about 10 times asmuch data volume as a regular CD can.

Multichannel: DVD is specified to have allsound tracks constitute one sound field.Multichannel refers to a structure of soundtracks having three or more channels.

Parental control: A function of the DVD tolimit playback of the disc by the age of the usersaccording to the limitation level in each country.The limitation varies from disc to disc; when it isactivated, playback will be prohibited if thesoftware’s level is higher than the user-set level.

PCM (Pulse Code Modulation): A systemfor converting analog sound signal to digitalsignal for later processing without datacompression.

Playback control (PBC): Refers to the signalrecorded on video CDs or SVCDs forreproduction control. By using screen menusrecorded on a Video CD or SVCD that supportsPBC, you can enjoy interactive-type software aswell as software having a search function.Progressive Scan (P-Scan): It displays all thehorizontal lines of a picture at one time, as asignal frame. This system can convert interlacedvideo from DVD into progressive format forconnection to a progressive display. Itdramatically increases the vertical resolution. Aprogressive scan TV set is needed to receiveprogressive scan output from the system.

Region code: A system allowing discs to beplayed only in preset regions. This unit will onlyplay discs that have compatible region codes. Youcan find the region code of your unit from theproduct label. Some discs are compatible withmore than one region (or ALL regions).

S-Video: Produces a clear picture by sendingseparate signals for luminance and the color. Youcan use S-Video only if your TV set has S-VideoIn jack.

Sampling Frequency: Frequency of datasampling when analog data is converted todigital data. Sampling frequency numericallyrepresents how many times the original analogsignal is sampled per second.

Surround: A system for users to createrealistic three-dimensional sound fields full ofrealism by arranging multiple speakers aroundthe listener.

Title: The longest section of a picture or musicfeature on DVD, music, etc., in video software, orthe entire album in audio software. Each title isassigned a title number enabling you to locatethe title you want.

VIDEO OUT jack: Jack on the back of theDVD System that sends video to TV.
