Anamnesis - that is our word for reflection on the Eucharist this week. Looks Greek to me and it is! This Greek word means memorial. Every time we celebrate the Eucharist, we encounter the saving love of God in Christ’s death, resur-rection, and ascension. Read Exodus 13, 1 Co-rinthians 11: 17-34, and the Catechism of the Catholic Church 1362-1367.

Cada vez que cel-ebramos la Eucaristía, nos encontramos con el amor salvador de Dios en la muerte, resurrec-ción y ascensión de Cristo. Questions for Reflection: 1) What would it be like for me to be present with Jesus during His life, death, resurrection, and ascension? 2) How does my faith in Jesus’ presence in the Eucharist need to grow? 3) How can I prepare myself for what is happening during the Mass?

Knights of Columbus Thanks to the efforts of Fr. Michael McGivney, the Knights of Columbus was chartered on March 29, 1882, as a fraternal ben-efit society. The Order is still true to its founding principles of charity, unity and fraternity and patriotism. The Knights of Co-lumbus has grown from several members in one council to 15,342 councils and close to 2 million members around the world. In Oakland Dicese Chapter there are 13 districts and 53
