PRESENTACIÓN

El Ministerio de Trabajo y Promoción del Empleo, a través de su Oficina de Estadística

y de la Dirección General de Derechos Fundamentales y Seguridad y Salud en el

Trabajo, presenta y difunde el noveno número del presente año 2013 “Boletín

Estadístico de Notificaciones de Accidentes de Trabajo, Incidentes Peligrosos y

Enfermedades Ocupacionales”, correspondiente al mes de setiembre.

Los boletines publicados son un instrumento técnico de divulgación de la estadística

nacional de notificaciones efectuadas por los empleadores y centros médicos

asistenciales a través del Sistema Informático de Notificación de Accidentes de

Trabajo, Incidentes Peligrosos y Enfermedades Ocupacionales – SAT, alojado en el

portal institucional www.trabajo.gob.pe. Consecuentemente, la revisión de la

información sistematizada por parte de los interesados, contribuirá a una mejor gestión

de la problemática de la seguridad y salud en el trabajo en el país, facilitando la

adopción de oportunas medidas preventivas y correctivas.

En los datos estadísticos del mes de setiembre de 2013, se pueden apreciar 1 617

notificaciones, de las cuales, el 94,50% corresponde a accidentes de trabajo, el 4,08%

a incidentes peligrosos, el 0,87% a accidentes de trabajo mortales y el 0,56% a

enfermedades ocupacionales. Por actividad económica, el mayor número de

notificaciones corresponde a Industrias Manufactureras, con el 27,64%, siguiendo en

importancia: Actividades Inmobiliarias, Empresariales y de Alquiler con el 14,72% y

Construcción con el 14,22%, entre otras.

Asimismo, según la información reportada en dicho período, las formas más comunes

en que se han ocasionado los accidentes de trabajo han sido debidas a golpes por

objetos (excepto caídas), caída de personas a nivel y esfuerzos físicos o falsos

movimientos. Cabe precisar que en relación con el mes precedente se advierte un

descenso en la cantidad de notificaciones de accidentes de trabajo en las cuales los

usuarios del SAT han seleccionado la opción genérica "Otras Formas", de lo cual se

colige, que los usuarios están haciendo un mejor uso de las diferentes categorías

previstas bajo el rubro “Forma del accidente”. Al respecto, se reitera la importancia de

que los usuarios continúen marcando la forma del accidente según las diversas

opciones contenidas en el formato respectivo -utilizando la opción genérica

únicamente cuando sea el caso- porque ello permite el desarrollo de mejores

estrategias de prevención de riesgos laborales en beneficio de los empleadores y

trabajadores del país.

Accidentes Mortales por Región.- Para el presente mes de setiembre se notificaron 14 accidentes mortales, concentrándose en Lima Metropolitana el 28,57%; seguido de Lima con 21,43%; Ancash, Arequipa y Callao con 14,29% en cada región y Apurímac con 7,14%.

Accidentes de Trabajo por Región.- A nivel nacional se presentaron 1 528 accidentes de trabajo en el mes de setiembre, de los cuales el 68,39% correspondieron a Lima Metropolitana, continuando con las regiones Callao (21,60%), Loreto (3,53%), Piura (2,62%), entre otras regiones.

Incidentes Peligrosos por Región.- Se notificaron 66 incidentes peligrosos, de los cuales el 36,36% correspondieron a Lima Metropolitana, seguido de Arequipa (21,21%), Callao (15,15%), Piura con (6,06%), entre otras regiones.

Enfermedades Ocupacionales por Región.- En el mes de setiembre se diagnosticaron 9 casos de enfermedades ocupacionales, las cuales 44,44% corespondieron a Ancash, seguido de Callao con 33,33% y Lima Metropolitana con 22,22%.

Notificaciones Según Actividad Económica.- De un total de 1 617 notificaciones, se observa que el 94,50% corresponden a accidentes detrabajo, seguido en orden decreciente por incidentes peligrosos (4,08%), accidentes mortales (0,87%) y, finalmente, enfermedadesocupacionales (0,56%). Por otra parte, analizando las notificaciones según actividad económica el 27,64% corresponde a IndustriasManufactureras, siguiendo en importancia las Actividades Inmobiliarias, Empresariales y de Alquiler (14,72%); Construcción (14,22%); entreotras actividades económicas.

Notificaciones, Según Categoría Ocupacional.- De las 1 551 notificaciones que se presentaron en el mes de setiembre,689 correspondieron a la categoría ocupacional obrero, de las cuales 679 fueron accidentes de trabajo, 4 accidentes mortalesy 6 enfermedades ocupacionales; asimismo, 311 correspondieron a empleados, de los cuales 309 sufrieron accidentes detrabajo y 2 accidentes mortales; siguiendo en importancia los empleados con 202 notificaciones siendo 197 accidentes detrabajo, 3 accidentes mortales y 2 enfermedades ocupacionales.

Accidentes de Trabajo por Sexo.- En el mes de setiembre se presentaron 1 528 notificaciones de accidentes de trabajo de loscuales 1 335 corresponden al sexo masculino y 193 al femenino observándose que los trabajadores de sexo masculino sufrenmayor número de accidentes de trabajo que las del sexo femenino. Por otra parte, se puede apreciar que se ha presentado unadisminución en el número de notificaciones de accidentes de trabajo respecto al mes anterior.

Accidentes de Trabajo por Actividad Económica, Según Agente Causante.– Los principales agentes causantes de accidentes detrabajo que han sido registrados, en orden decreciente, son: Herramientas (portátiles, manuales, mecánicas, eléctricas, etc.) con (266);Máquinas y Equipos en General (100); Escalera (70); entre otros. Cabe señalar, que existe un alto número de notificaciones en las cualeslos centros médicos asistenciales seleccionan la categoría "Otros", por lo tanto no se puede determinar en detalle el agente causante(837).

Accidentes de Trabajo, Según Parte del Cuerpo Lesionada.- De las 1 528 notificaciones de accidentes de trabajo, 1 335correspondieron al sexo masculino y 193 al femenino. Las partes del cuerpo lesionadas en su mayor número fueron dedos de la manocon 15,12% , seguido de los ojos con un 13,87%, mano con 8,31%, región lumbrosacra (6,94%), entre otras partes del cuerpo.

Accidentes Mortales por Actividad Económica, Según Forma del Accidente.- En el mes de setiembre, las actividadeseconómicas que reportaron el mayor número de notificaciones de accidentes mortales fueron Explotación de Minas yCanteras; Industrias Manufactureras; Construcción; Transporte, Almacenamiento y Comunicaciones; ActividadesInmobiliarias, Empresariales y Alquiler y Otras Actividades de Servicios Comunitarios, Sociales y Personales con 14,29%en cada actividad; seguido de Agricultura, Ganadería, Caza y Silvicultura y Comercio al por mayor y al por menor,reparación de vehiculos automotores, motocicletas, efectos personales y enseres domésticos con 7,14% en cada actividad.Así mismo las formas de accidente reportadas han sido las siguientes, con (4) notificaciones: Aprisionamiento oAtrapamiento; seguido de Caída de Personal de Altura (3); entre otras formas.

Incidentes Peligrosos, Según Forma del Incidente.- Se presentaron 66 notificaciones de incidentes peligrosos, de los cualesla mayor cantidad se encuentra en Choque de Vehículos (3,03%); seguido de Atrapamiento Sin Daño; Derrumbes; Desplome deEstructuras; Desplome de Rumas de Cargas Almacenadas y Trabajos con Capacidad con (1,52%) en cada tipo de incidente.Cabe señalar que el 89,39% de incidentes se encuentran concentradas en la categoría "Otros".

Enfermedades Ocupacionales por Meses de Certificación Médica Reportada.- En el mes de setiembre se observan 4 certificacionesmédicas reportadas. Por otra parte, hasta el mes de setiembre del año 2013 se han notificado un total de 54 certificaciones médicas deenfermedades ocupacionales de las cuales 48 fueron del sexo masculino y 6 del femenino.

Enfermedades Ocupacionales, Según Tipo de Enfermedad.- Se notificaron 9 enfermedades ocupacionales de las cuales 4corresponden al sexo masculino y 5 al femenino. Según tipo de enfermedad, se presentan las Enfermedades Provocadas por PosturasForzadas y Movimientos Repetidos en el Trabajo con (44,44%) notificaciones; Hipoacusia o sordera provocada por el ruido y Lumbagocon 22,22% en cada una y Dermatitis Alérgica de Contacto con 11,11%.
