TinkuThis dance represents the charka culture; the first nation in the “Qolla Suyu” that made alliance with the Spaniards during the conquest. The costume comes from this partnership. It consists of a pair of pants, a Castilian jacket, an armor (vest), a scarf, a montera (a kind of helmet) imitating the Spanish helmet and the “Nuku” (a kind of Mitten).
AwatiriThis dance presents the ballet steps, but its costume suggests an autochthonous origin. It is related to the supposed shepherds. The costume does not have elements of the shepherds’ guild like “qorawa” which is the package with food, and “chulu” hat which is used against the cold. Some universities say that they represent the young men called “water carriers” this confusion was created by the other dialect pronunciation of “Awatiñas. “
Suri sikuriThe steps of this dance are associated to the suri or Andean ostrich. Men and women dancers represent Suris. There are not musicians who dance and they do not have their own music like in the indigenous groups.
WititisDue to the crossed rope that is at the dancer’s back, he could be a kind of llamero and by the rhythmic steps and jumps; he could be a mountainside inhabitant.

The music is enhanced by tarqueadas and Moseñadas. The tarqueda uses instruments such as tarkas from bad type (medium) and mama Likus which are made from wood called Tarko. The Percussion instruments are drums, boxes, bass drums and cymbals.
