9se the following procedure in order to tighten the tie bolts for the pump housing.
1. Torque the bolts to 1' ! $ "#m (1 ! 1 lb ft).
$. Turn the bolts for an additional 5 ! $ degrees.
. -nsure that the torque of the bolts is ! 5 "#m ($4 ! 4 lb ft).

9se the following procedure to tighten the nut for the pump gear.
1. Torque the nut to 50 ! 5 "#m (' ! 4 lb ft).
$. Turn the nut for an additional 5.5 ! $.0 degrees.
. -nsure that the torque of the nut is &0 ! 4 "#m (60 ! lb ft).

miture of clean engine oil and 8T-2998 3ubricant before installation.

Note: The top face of the gas,et and the top face of the clinder bloc,* clinder liners and
the bottom face of the gas,et and the bottom face of the clinder head must be free of oil*
fuel* water and other contaminants before assembl.
Note: 9se clean engine oil to lubricate the threads of the clinder head bolts beforeassembl.
9se the following procedure to tighten the clinder head bolts@
1. Torque the bolt (1) through bolt ($6) in a numerical sequence to 10 ! 15 "#m (%5 !
11 lb ft).
$. gain torque the bolt (1) through bolt ($6) in a numerical sequence to 10 ! 15 "#m(%5 ! 11 lb ft).
. 4 turn).
4. 3oosen the bolt (1) through bolt ($6) in a numerical sequence to 0 "#m (0 lb ft).
5. +epeat tep 1 through tep .
6. Torque the bolt ($') through bolt (1) in a numerical sequence to $& ! ' "#m ($1 !
