recasting risk transfer and by acceptance with

appropriate parties.

• During the process, the Government introduced many

position, based on the security acquired from the

robust procurement process

Thameslink Infrastructure,

London• Contracted by Bombardier to work up part of their

bid for the Thameslink Programme, a £5.5bn

scheme to develop / improve London commuter

network.

• Advised on acquisition of a fully financed package

for the two new train care facilities and the

associated site infrastructure to support the

manufacture, entry into service and maintenance of

a new fleet of rolling stock valued over £1.5bn.

Programme: high quality City office building (500,000

sq.ft.), renewed Network Rail Station, rebuilding

Underground Station ticket hall and back of house

facilities. Design of building / complex cantilevering 21

metres over mainline railway

Engaged by Arups Programme and Project

Management to lead Hines UK’s landmark

development in the City of London. Led the Client

Representative Team managing delivery of the £450m

air rights development which sits over Cannon Street

Development

Restructured and focused development team to

respond to emerging stakeholder views and

political concerns. Led the programme from

feasibility stage through detailed development to

readiness for application for necessary powers

and planning consents through the Transport

and Works Act.

Development work completed and ready for the TWA

powers but currently awaiting further approval covering

political and funding concerns.

Led Development of £850m West London Tram scheme

to provide a high frequency transit system running for

20km of Uxbridge Road from Shepherds Bush Green to

Hillingdon’s town centre.

West London Tram

• Support tender to manufacture, supply, commission and

maintain Electric Multiple Units (EMU) for Indian Railways.

• Construction of a train build factory and between 9 and 11

regional maintenance facilities - the trains are to cover

routes across the continent via Delhi, Kolkatta, Chennai

and Hyderabad,

• To build the cost figures for the bid, visited all the potential

sites. Undertook research the engineering requirements

and provide outline design schemes, leading to costings.

Involved meeting with the local Indian Railways senior

staff and carrying out a walk-over of each site.

• Bidding process still under way, awaiting further

requirements and clarifications by government.

• Fast outline scope and project definition, agreed with

Bombardier in UK in only 2 weeks

• Preferred finance and costs established

• Indian Railways favours UK expertise in the procurement

of train care facilities.
