Entrega de libretas

Les recordamos que la próxima semana entregarán libretas el 16,

17, y 18 de junio. Pero los alumnos de secundaria tendrán clases

el 16 y 17. Solamente no habrán clases el miércoles, 18 de junio.

Cada tutor se reunirá con cada familia para entregar libretas del

primer trimestre. Como son reuniones tripartitas, las familias deben

venir con su hijo/a para la reunión.

Ya hemos enviado los comunicados con los horarios; si no recibió

información sobre la hora de su reunión, debe comunicarse con

secretaria. Si no puede asistir en la fecha asignada, pueden lla-

mar a Secretaría y concertar una cita otro día.

Les recordamos que quienes no se encuentren al día en sus pa-

gos no podrán llevarse la libreta de notas pero podrán tener la

reunión tripartita con su hijo/a. Huatia

La huatia es una de las técnicas culinarias más antiguas de la región andina peruana. El próximo viernes 20 de junio, estaremos realizando la tradicional huatia del Colegio. Todos los alumnos/as de la escuela son bienvenidos a traer salsas para las papas y po-der compartir con sus compañeros/as. Pueden traer su lonchera a la huatia si lo desean. Por favor, no se olviden de enviar una bebida para los niños/as, así como un gorro y bloqueador solar, pues, como cada año, ese día todos los niños y niñas, junto con sus profesores/as, saldrán a hacer una caminata por los alrede-dores del Colegio. Ese día el uniforme no será obligatorio, los alumnos podrán venir con ropa de calle. ¡Será una linda expe-riencia intercultural y de indagación sobre las costumbres de nuestro país!

Día Familiar

Queremos agradecer a todas las familias que participaron en el

Día Familiar. Los niños y niñas la pasaron muy bien y toda la co-

munidad educativa tuvo la oportunidad de socializar y conocer-

se mejor. Agradecemos a los/as representantes de la Asociación

de Padres de Familia por todo su trabajo. Un especial reconoci-

miento a todas las familias que prestaron su apoyo para la

Tómbola, toldos, la venta de productos, etc. y a las profesoras

por hacer de los juegos un momento muy divertido para todos.

Asimismo nuestro agradecimiento a Myriam Lazo, profe de Edu-

cación Física, quien dirigió los juegos e hizo que fueran muy diver-

tidos. Esperamos tener más eventos exitosos este año. ¡Todos

hicieron un gran trabajo!

Ayuda para Mantay

Queremos resaltar y agradecer la iniciativa de los alumnos de

10mo grado que iniciaron una campaña en apoyo al programa

de madres adolescentes "Casa de acogida Mantay" , gracias a

la cual pudieron recolectar 250 latas de leche para entregarla

como donativo. Agradecemos el apoyo de todos aquellos que

con su donación han brindado una gran ayuda a la Casa de

acogida Mantay.

Club NaturaNiños en las noticias

¡El Club Natura Niños, fundado por familias del colegio, está pre-

Report Card Meetings

Remember that next week we will have report card meet-

ings on June 16, 17, and 18. However, secondary students

will have classes on June 16 and 17. The only day there will

not be class is June 18. Each “tutor” will meet with each

family about the first term report card in a three-way meet-

ing so families must come with their child to the meeting.

We sent notes home indicating the date and time of each

family’s meeting. If you did not receive this note, contact

the main office. If cannot make your assigned meeting

time, contact the main office to schedule a meeting for

another day.

Keep in mind that families not up to date with their tuition payments will not be able to take their child’s report card home, but will have the report card meeting.

Huatia

The “huatia” is one of the oldest culinary techniques in the Andean region. Next Friday, June 20th, we will be holding our annual huatia for all of our students. All of the students are welcome to bring sauces for the potatoes to share with their friends. They can also take their regular snack to the huatia if they wish. Please don’t forget sunscreen, hat and drink that day! They will also be doing a short hike in the rural area around the school. Uniforms are not required. It will be an excellent intercultural experience and a chance to investigate one of the important customs in our country.

Family Day

We would like to thank all the families who participated in

the Family Day. The kids had a great time and the whole

educational community had a chance to socialize and get

to know each other better. Thank you to the Parent’s Asso-

ciation representatives for all your hard work. Thanks as well

to all of the families who donated toys to the Tómbola,

those who donated tents and those who sold food. And

finally, thank you to Myriam Lazo, Physical Education

teacher from the school who ran the games and made

them such fun. We hope to have more successful events

this year. Great work everyone!

Help for Mantay

We want to recognize and thank the 10th graders for their

initiative with the campaign to help teen mother program

at “Casa de acogida Mantay”. Thanks to which they were

able to collect 250 cans as a donation. Thank you to every-

one for their donation which is a big help to “Casa de

acogida Mantay”.

Política de reposición de pelotas y otros

Los chicos usan pelotas para jugar durante las horas de

educación física y durante los recreos u horas de espera

(entrada o salida). En las horas de educación física lo

hacen con las pelotas del colegio y en los recreos u otras

horas usan las pelotas que ellos traen de casa. En algu-

nas oportunidades, piden prestadas pelotas del colegio y

estas les son dadas con el compromiso de devolverlas en

iguales condiciones.

Algunas veces, tiran la pelota con demasiada fuerza y

esta sale del colegio, en cuyo caso personal del colegio sale a reco-

gerlas. Sin embargo, tenemos una pared colindante con un vecino a

quien le causa mucho malestar y no las devuelve; y, a pesar de los

esfuerzos que hemos hecho por subir la malla colindante, esto sigue

sucediendo.

Cuando una pelota sale del colegio y se pierde durante las horas de

educación física o los talleres de AfterSchool, el colegio asume esta

reposición. Sin embargo, cuando los chicos piden prestada la pelota

para jugar en el recreo y la pierden, se hacen responsables grupal-

mente de esta reposición. Lo mismo sucede cuando ha habido algún

acto intencional de patearla fuera del colegio por parte de algún

alumno/a. Los niños que reciben pelotas prestadas conocen de estas

condiciones y sentimos que es una forma de asumir de manera res-

ponsable sus actos.

En el caso de causar daños al mobiliario o infraestructura del colegio,

se considera como criterio si fue intencional o casual. En el caso de

haber sido intencional, haber sucedido realizando actividades que

no estaban permitidas o como consecuencia de no haber seguido

las normas o indicaciones del colegio, será necesario que los alum-

nos/as asuman la reposición. Sugerimos que sean los chicos quienes

usen su dinero (propinas o ahorros) para reponer lo dañado. Gracias

por su apoyo y comprensión.

Permisos para salir del Colegio

Como todos ustedes saben, la principal preocupación de Ausangate

Bilingual School, es la seguridad de nuestros alumnos/as, es por ello

que somos muy estrictos en temas como autorizaciones para salir de

paseo y permisos en el cuaderno de comunicados para que otra

persona ajena a la familia saque a su hijo/a del Colegio.

Es por esta razón que debemos recordarles que es obligatorio enviar

una nota en el cuaderno de comunicados o llamar a Secretaría e

informar acerca de los cambios en la rutina de recojo de su hijo/a, de

otro modo, no lo/la dejaremos salir del Colegio. Agradeceremos to-

mar en cuenta esta información para evitar molestias.

Ingreso al Colegio

Les recordamos que, tanto a la hora de entrada, como a la hora de

salida, los autos y taxis deberán estacionarse en la pista asfaltada y

entraremos caminando a partir de la reja exterior. Queremos hacer

hincapié especial en el respeto que les debemos a nuestros vecinos/

as y no dejar los autos estacionados en la entrada de las casas cer-

canas al Colegio. Es nuestro interés generar un ambiente más seguro

para la circulación de nuestros niños/as, pero también dar un exce-

lente ejemplo de consideración y respeto en el vecindario. POR FA-

VOR, RECUERDEN QUE LOS ALUMNOS/AS RECIÉN PUEDEN INGRESAR

AL COLEGIO A PARTIR DE LAS 8:00AM Y NO ANTES.

Ball (and other items) Replacement Policy

Students use balls in Physical Education class,

recess, while waiting for school to start, and at

the end of the school day. During PE they use

school balls, but during recess and other times

they use balls they bring from home. Some-

times they ask to borrow a school ball in which

case they are lent on the condition that they

are returned in the same condition.

Sometimes a ball has so much force that it

flies out of the school in which case school staff go out get it.

However, we have one neighbor who is bothered a great

deal by this and does not give the balls back. And, despite

having put in a higher fence, balls continue to go into their

yard.

When a ball goes out of the school and lost during PE or an

afterschool class, the school assumes responsibility for replac-

ing the ball. However, when students who ask to borrow a ball

to play with during recess lose it, they, as a group, are respon-

sible for replacing it. The same is true if a student intentionally

kicks the ball over the school wall. Students who borrow balls

are aware of these conditions and we feel it is a way for them

to assume responsibility for their actions.

In the case of damage to furniture or school infrastructure,

whether it was intentional or by accident is taken into ac-

count. If it is deemed to have occurred intentionally, by doing

activities that are not permitted, or as a consequence of not

following school instructions or policy, the student(s) are re-

sponsible for repairs or replacement. We suggest that students

use their own money (allowance or savings) to fix the dam-

age. Thank you for your support and understanding.

Authorization to Leave School

As you know, our main concern at Ausangate Bilingual School

is the safety of our children. Consequently we have a very

strict policy about signing permission slips to go on a field trip

and notes in the communication book authorizing a third

party to pick your child up from school.

Please remember that you must send a note in the communi-

cation book or call the main office if you would like your child

to go home a different way than usual. Without a note or a

call to the school, we will not be able to let your child leave.

Thank you for keeping this policy in mind.

Arrival at School

Remember that during the arrival and dismissal time, we ask

those who come in their own cars to park beyond the outside

gate, on the asphalt road – not in the dirt road directly in front

of the school. We would like to also make a special request

to not leave cars blocking the entrances of our neighbors. This

helps provide a safer environment for the children and show

consideration and respect for our neighbors. Please remem-

ber that children cannot enter the school until 8:00am and

not before.
