ADJETIVOS: COMPARATIVO DE SUPERIORIDAD DELOS MONOSÍLABOS Y BISÍLABOS ACABADOS EN -Y

Adjetivo + -er + than

•Shorter than (más corto que)

Si es monosílabo acabado en consonante + vocal + consonante: duplica la consonante final

•Big – bigger than

Los acabados en consonante + y, cambian la y por i

•Easy – easier than

Los acabados en -l, duplican dicha l

•Cruel – crueller than

Los terminados en -e que no suena, sólo añaden la -r

•Nice – nicer than

FORMACIÓN DE LOS ADVERBIOS

La forma más habitual es añadiendo –ly al adjetivo• Slow/slowly, quick/quickly, bad/badly

Algunos adverbios tienen la misma forma que el adjetivo• Fast / hard / high / far

Al adjetivo good le corresponde el adverbio well
