Cuando Lord Glenconner compró la isla Mustique, ambicionaba verla Horecer comouna plantación de algodón. Eso nunca se dio, así que elaboró nuevos planes paradesarrollar lo que entonces era poco más que un trozo de tierra con vegetación, sinmuelles, sin caminos y sin agua corriente.
