Y nosotros hemos hecho realidad muchos sueños en poco tiempo. En el 2009 presentamos en el mercado siete modelos de toldo, desafiando la suerte, la coyuntura del momento y luchando siempre para hacer más grande nuestro sueño. En el 2012 hemos añadido una nueva línea de toldos verticales, recibiendo elogios del mercado. Todo ello nos ha permitido obtener 9 premios de diseño a nivel internacional, tanto a nivel de empresa como por productos. Hemos ampliado el mercado más allá de Europa, llevando nuestros toldos a Asia, Australia y Estados Unidos.

¿Satisfechos?. No. Hambrientos y locos!.Recientemente hemos incorporado tres nuevos modelos de toldos de brazo invisible, proyectados gracias a las sugerencias de los instaladores y de los usuarios. Ahora miramos al futuro y estamos diseñando nuevos modelos de protección solar para ampliar así nuestra gama. Todo esto firmando acuerdos y alianzas para ofrecer un servicio y un producto mejores, y para fortalecer nuestra empresa y hacer que nuestros clientes se sientan orgullosos de habernos elegido.

These years have been filled with many dreams. We have challenged the fate of economic trends and have striven to make our dreams bigger.In 2012 we successfully launched a new line of drop awnings to an overwhelming industry response, resulting in 9 international design awards from both a company and product level.We have successfully expanded our markets beyond Europe, reaching Asia, Australia and the US.

Yet we still remain hungry and foolish!We have recently introduced three new models of retractable arm awnings, that have been developed in close consultation with our clients, based on their needs and feedback. With a view to the future we continue designing new sun shading systems to increase our range. We have developed new partnerships to be able to offer better service and products, to make our company grow stronger and our clients proud to work together.

Nacemos para dar forma a un sueño:la forma del diseño En el mercado de la protección solar faltaban toldos de diseño. Toldos innovadores en la forma y en la tecnología. Toldos que se integrasen con la arquitectura, tanto clásica como moderna. Objetos a los que mirar y admirar. Queríamos crear toldos fáciles de usar, pero tecnológicamente avanzados, y que utilizasen materiales de altísima calidad y a su vez asequibles a todos.Queríamos toldos Made in Italy, patentados en el diseño y en la técnica, y certificados en la calidad por entidades internacionales.Para hacer todo esto necesitábamos crear una nueva empresa. Joven,dinámica. Que juntase colaboradores y socios de gran experiencia con ideas innovadoras. Teníamos un sueño. Lo hemos realizado.

Los premios de diseño conseguidos durante estos años nos han permitido crecer a nivel internacional y competir con otros profesionales del diseño a nivel mundial, permitiéndonos encontrar nuevos segmentos de mercado alternativos al canal tradicional de la protección solar.Pero sobre todo, nos permiten ofrecer a nuestros clientes un argumento más para escoger los productos de ShadeLAB.Después de 9 premios conseguidos en 5 años, no nos paramos: queremos continuar con nuevos retos y dar aún más valor a nuestros toldos.

A process that involves numerous elements, both inside and outside the company, all contributing to the end result. A great architect and designer who models forms and concepts. The 3D design and rapid prototyping in resin for the aesthetical and structural checks.

A production process involving excellence at all stages: from aluminium and moulding to stainless steel manufacturing; from the extrusion of profiles to powder coating. An internal laboratory to carry out all the tests, where the quality of each component is certified by TÜV Rheinland and where products are long tested before being introduced on the market.

For ShadeLAB innovation also involves careful management of customer service. In pre sales by offering solutions, integrating projects and customizing awnings to every application. Después de la graduación en Arquitectura en 1978, consigue el Diploma de Diseño Industrial en el Politécnico de Milán en 1979. Se forma con maestros del diseño italiano como Castiglioni y Zanuso, además de en numerosos concursos internacionales, entre los cuales destaca el “Young&Design Award” y el “RedDot Design Award”.En el ámbito del diseño industrial, ha colaborado con muchas de las más prestigiosas empresas de diseño como Artemide, Poliform, Martex, Meson’s, Permasteelisa, Varaschin, Zanotta.Colabora con ShadeLAB para el desarrollo de nuevos tipos de toldos que, a través del diseño, respondan a la creciente exigencia arquitectónica de los elementos de exterior, bien sean residenciales o urbanos.

After graduating in architecture in 1978, Mario Mazzer received his Diploma in Industrial Design at Politecnico di Milano in 1979. He gained experience working with leaders in Italian design, such as Achille Castiglioni and Marco Zanuso. He has since been awarded with an assortment of prizes, such as the Young & Design Award and the Red dot Design Award. In the field of industrial design he has worked for some of the most important Italian design companies such as Artemide, Busnelli, Martex, Meson’s, Permasteelisa, Poliform, Varaschin and Zanotta. Working closely with ShadeLAB, Mario continues to develop new concepts of awnings that, through design, can meet the growing architectural needs in the home and urban outdoor décor.

Queremos hacer sombra. Una sombra funcional y de diseño para crear y vivir en nuevos espacios externos y garantizar el ahorro energético de los edificios.

Una sombra que coge la forma de los toldos montados en barra cuadrada, o de las líneas sinuosas y elegantes. Otras veces, con toldos cofre que armonizan perfectamente en las fachadas, dando protección total al tejido gracias al cierre siempre hermético.

O bien, toldos verticales, ya sea con el objetivo de filtrar la luz solar para conseguir privacidad, o con el objetivo de controlar la iluminación. Sin olvidar la pérgola ligera, revisada en clave moderna para ser multifuncional y mejorar el uso de los espacios exteriores.

Este modelo se ha desarrollado para satisfacer la demanda de toldos de gran calidad y prestaciones con un precio asequible.

Disponible hasta 3,15 m de salida, PIUMA está equipada con Fusion, el nuevo brazo de perfil rectangular, más ligero y diseñado adecuadamente para toldos de medidas reducidas. It is a total cassette that guarantees a hermetic closure of the awning in any width and projection, thanks to the particular shape of the terminal bar, too. SHAN, ganadora del Red dot design award 2010, es el máximo exponente en diseño de los toldos cofres.Cuando se trata de tu casa, quieres un toldo con cofre que funcione perfectamente y que haga sombra sin comprometer la estética. Esto es lo que consigues si eliges un toldo como SHAN, capaz de integrarse perfectamente en la arquitectura. SHAN, ningún compromiso en prestaciones, ningún compromiso con el diseñó.

Por su diseño exclusivo, SHAN sólo está disponible con fijación frontal y en versión motorizada. Se trata de un objeto de decoración que reúne estética y funcionalidad.

El sistema de basculación DTS permite que el soporte gire en fase de recogida del tejido y del perfil frontal garantizando un cierre perfecto del cofre. SHAN, no compromise on performance, no compromise on design. Because of its marked shape and design, SHAN can only be installed on wall and is only motorized. It is a furnishing object that matches aesthetic and functionality: SHAN, always groundbreaking.

The D.T.S. system (Dynamic Tipping System) allows the tipping of the support when the awning is retracting, maintaining a perfect closure of the cassette. The special gasket along the whole terminal profile makes the awning watertight and ensures a silent closure. A single section is up to 7 m with and can reach a 4,15 m projection; it can be coupled up to 10 m with one single fabric.

Like all the other ShadeLAB awnings, SHAN is certified by TÜV Rheinland according to norm EN 13561 and has a 5 year guarantee. Its design is patented.

Este modelo está disponible en cuatro versiones para satisfacer cada tipo de necesidad arquitectónica, tanto en viviendas como en negocios: con y sin cofre, con guía cable y con brazo de punto recto con tensión. Gracias a la constante búsqueda y experimentación, ShadeLAB ha conseguido crear para las versiones WING y RAY una solución única en el mercado: el perfil terminal queda totalmente integrado en el cofre y asegura un cierre hermético. ILIOS is available in 4 different versions to better suit private and commercial applications: with or without box, with steel cable guides or with tensioned arms. ShadeLAB vocation for research and testing has enabled it to engineer a unique solution in the market, particularly apt for WING and RAY versions: a terminal bar that perfectly integrates inside the box, always enabling a hermetic closure. ILIOS can be installed on wall and ceiling and offers a great advantage: maintenance and change of fabric/motor can be carried out without uninstalling the awning. Thanks to the practical SMART-BOX system, the front cover can be removed fast and easily. There are no visible screws to maintain a plain and elegant design.

Un módulo único alcanza 5 x 5 m con una altura de 3 m. Gracias a su patentado kit de unión a 4 salidas, LEAF se puede ampliar prácticamente al infinito e incluso a distintas alturas.

LEAF is the ideal structure for terraces, patios and gardens and can shade the leisure areas of hotels, resorts, cafés and restaurants with a unique style, both in classic and modern environments. The structure is fully made of aluminium and is certified by TÜV Rheinland in the highest class of wind resistance (Class 3) according to EU norm 13561; its design and technological patents are valid in all EU Member States. A single section is 5x5 metres with 3 m height; thanks to its patented 4 ways junction set, LEAF can be coupled infinitely in any direction, even at different heights.

Shade is the reproduction of objects without matter. Presence in absence. Mystery. Amusement. Indissoluble alter ego of everything that has matter.Shade is our vocation. Para mí, la fotografía es poesía, con la cual intento comunicar mis visiones y sensaciones del mundo. Mi fotografía quiere ser la expresión de mi modo de sentir, y hace referencia a mis vivencias. No solo uso espacios y objetos conocidos, sino incluso el cuerpo. Trabajar con el auto-retrato lleva a la persona a una participación en el acto de fotografiar que va mucho más allá, creando una especie de relación entre los elementos, el lugar y la máquina fotográfica que lo captura.

No sé qué cosa aparecerá, me lo puedo imaginar pero verlo es siempre un descubrimiento que me sorprende cada vez.

El auto-retrato me permite entrar, dialogar con el espacio, jugar con el tiempo, tener que mirar dos veces. Dentro y fuera de la imagen.

En mi trabajo está presente el tema de la ligereza como reacción al peso del vivir, como libertad de cada forma de construir. Muchas veces me ha quitado peso a mi cuerpo, escogiendo brazos, piernas o solo cabellos para hablar de aquello que hay dentro, aquello que no se ve.

Como sucede con la sombra, representación de un cuerpo imaginario, presente pero ausente.

“For me, photography is poetry through which I strive to communicate my vision/feeling of the world”

My photography wants to be expression of my feelings and constantly takes me back to my past. I not only use known spaces and objects, but my own body. Working with self-portrait leads the photographer to the involvement with the act of photographing, going well beyond the shot; it’s a sort of relationship between oneself, the place and the camera catching it. I don’t know what will appear; of course i can imagine it, but when I see it it’s always a discovery: every time is amazement.

The self-portrait enables me to enter and talk with spaces; to play with time, to have a double look. Inside and outside the image.

My works include the theme of lightness as opposed to the weight of living, as freedom from any form of restraint. I often took off weight form my body; I choose legs or arms or only hair to convey what is inside and one doesn’t see.

The same happens with shadow: representation of the imagined body, present but absence.

Martinelli viaja por las ciudades con una pantalla y un flash que, accionados inadvertidamente por el transeúnte, le refleja la sombra en la pantalla, reteniendo así temporalmente el movimiento del cuerpo. Es el encuentro con la sombra. La sombra emancipada que ofrece una imagen inesperada, la cual se convierte en pocos instantes en el descubrimiento de otro sí mismo. De ese ser a menudo solitario y anónimo, arrastrado en medio de los otros en la perpétua prisa donde lo cotidiano escapa rápidamente, quedando solamente aquello que deja la imagen.

La instalación le da una nueva imagen a la cosa más huidiza del hombre, su sombra, parada en un instante qualquiera sino irrepetibile de la existencia, para dejarla después desaparecer delante del espectador, anuncio de la desaparición del cuerpo agotado por su misma evaporación.

El descubrimiento de la imagen inesperada de sí mismo y su lento desaparecer son el objeto de la operación encuentro con la sombra y la fuente de su fuerza emocional.

Artist Mario Martinelli travels the world carrying a big piece of cloth and a flash which he puts in front of the cloth. A passer-by would accidentally activate the flash lighting the cloth and blowing their shadow on it. The shadow, detached from the body, remains for some time on the still enlighten cloth. This is what the “meeting the shadow” consists in. The shadow, which has been emancipated from the body, projects a new image of itself. It becomes a dazzled discovery of a new, other “self”. Such other “self” is the one who is dragged into the relentless rhythm of today’s life, where days pass by very quickly and what’s left is only the image of things.

Martinelli’s installations give new shape to the most eluding feature of mankind, that is a human shadow caught in a one-time but unique moment of existence. Such shadow is then released slowly and thereby symbolizes the disappearance of a human body worn out by its own evaporation.

Martinelli’s art aims at revealing the unexpected imagine of oneself and its slowly fading away: such is the “meeting the shadow” operation and the source of its emotional strength.
