Where did I come from?

Immigrating to United States

My mom and dad immigrated illegally to the US.

My mom traveled inside a car.

My dad crossed the border.

They both came on the fifth wave of immigration on the 1990’s.

My mom came from a place called El Arenal, Jalisco. My dad from Guadalajara, Jalisco.

Lower wages. Not enough education. Chain migration.

PULL FACTORS Higher wages Education opportunities More relatives

At first both of my parents started walking to search for jobs. Then, they saved enough money to buy a car.

My mom was living on Ontario with her three brothers.My dad was living with his brother at OntarioMy mom and dad met at a dance club, they got married on 1992They had me on 1994, I was their first child. Four years later they gave me a brother.On 2000 we went back to Mexico and stayed for like 12 years.We studied and learn many wonderful things.On 2012 we returned to the US and started all over again, learning other completely different language and culture.
