Las edificaciones de hace 50 años fueron realizadas sin normas
sísmicas; por lo que la calidad del concreto y el acero de refuerzo no
cumplen con la norma E.060 vigente; por lo que reforzar estas
estructuras para que cumplan con las norma E.060 hace que el edificio
reforzado cueste ms que el edificio nuevo lo que no resulta
razona!lemente via!le.

"i los edificos han soportado las cargas de gravedad por 50 años
apro#imadamente sin ning$n pro!lema se puede considerar razona!lemente
resistentes para tomar cargas de gravedad en el futuro; por lo que para
el criterio de resistencia sísmica si los edificios han resistido sismos
con agresiones de %&6 'moderado( de lo que puede ser un sismo severo 'el
esperado en Lima(; se puede considerar que no sufrieran daños severos si
se colocan refuerzos que a!sor!an 5&6 del sismo esperado.

DESCRIPCIÓN DE LA ESTRUCTURA:
La estructura reforzada u!icada en el distrito de 7reña8 provincia de
Lima8 departamento de Lima; esta reforzada por muros de corte de
concreto armado conectada con vigas conformando un p9rtico las cuales se
adosaran a la estructura e#istente; el modelamiento se realiz9 con el
programa -278 usndose elementos frame para las vigas8 columnas8 y
elementos shell para los muros de corte; en el modelo se usaron 501
elementos frame y : elementos shell. En la figura % puede verse el
modelo en 1/.
