The important obstacles for the development of

Western Route of  Chiangrai Province

•The relevancy of policy and agreement among the

countries.

•The relevancy of the developmental strategies at

national level.

•The emphasis of infrastructures without management,

public policy, and the connection of those

infrastructures.

•The infeasible investment of private sectors - private

organizations lack confidence and have some limitations of their

capabilities in various aspects, especially those of the local investors.

•Limited human resources at provincial level – this causes the

investment opportunity to change to the more capable sectors.

The important problems affecting long‐term

development

•The lack of developmental working plan integration,

including the systemic evaluation.

•The affect on national securities.

•The lack of balanced income and benefit distribution

between the investors and the natural resources

owners, for example, the use of land and forest.

•Social problems caused by the urgent development

leading to materialism and urbanization and it

probably cause the extinction of traditional cultures of

Chiangrai.
