    INTRODUCTION2014 will be the second season of the FORMULA RENAULT 1.6 NEC JUNIOR.The high performance but low budget-racing car fills the void between karting and the2 litre Formula Renault.The series offers an interesting calendar with races on renowned racetracks in theNetherlands, Belgium and Germany.The calendar has seven weekends with free practice, qualifying and two or three raceseach. Because of the increase of weekends and increase of tracktime, the entry feehas also been increased for 2014.Participation in the FORMULA RENAULT 1.6 NEC JUNIOR is possible with the FormulaRenault 1.6 designed by SIGNATECH. All cars must comply with 2014 SportingTechnical Regulations.

    CALENDARThe organisation team will make a selection of 7 events on the following racetracks21 April Paasraces Zandvoort2 June World Series by Renault SpaTBC Nurburgring2 August Gamma Racing Day Assen20 September Truck Grand Prix Zolder5 October Racing Festival Spa19 October Finale Races ZandvoortIn accordance with the selection of race tracks, the organisation sets up a minimum of

    four collective test days before the season starts.

    All race events run together with the RENAULT CLIO BENELUX CUP.

    TESTINGThe organisers provide a number of collective testing days.In addition, it is free for all registered teams to participate in any tests up to two

    weeks before the start of the FORMULA RENAULT 1.6 NEC JUNIOR event on that

    designated race track. All other tracks remain free.

    MEETING FORMATEach race weekend consists of:30 minutes Free Practice 130 minutes Free Practice 220 minutes Qualifying20 minutes Race 120 minutes Race 2The Start Grid of Race 1 is the fastest Qualifying timeThe Start Grid of Race 2 is the second best Qualifying timePer event (qualifying and races) the organisation allows one set new (4 tyres) and one

    set used (4 tyres).

    PRIZESThe winner of the FORMULA RENAULT 1.6 NEC JUNIOR receives a test and a free entry

    fee for the Formula Renault 2.0 NEC.

    The second and third placed driver receive a test in the Formula Renault 2.0 NEC.

    Prizes are only awarded to drivers who have participated the entire season of

    FORMULA RENAULT 1.6 NEC JUNIOR

    PRESSThe official Northern European Cup Formula Renault 1.6 English website is

    www.frcup.com

    Photography, standings,a press releases, etc. etc., will be added throughout the season

    on the website as well as links to existing team and driver websites.

    There will be two press releases per event; one prior to the race weekend and one aTer

    the race on Sunday to the international press. A photographer shall attend all races.
