65% Tax Credit Too Good to be True? Not at all. If you file an Iowa
Income Tax Return, your contributions to the Our Faith School
Tuition Organization (STO) receive a 65% tax credit. That means
for every $1000 you donate, you receive an Iowa income tax credit
of $650, which reduces your Iowa tax liability by $650. In addition,
the entire amount of your gift qualifies for federal deductibility.
And that gift you made? It helps make a Catholic school education
affordable for every child, regardless of their families’ financial
situation. It really is that simple. Visit www.OurFaithSto.org or call
the Archdiocese of Dubuque at 800-876-3546 ext. 219 or 307 to
learn more.

Then, to touch upon how the Knights of Columbus can carry on and carry out what Jesus began 21 centuries ago. A great deal of use will be made of the New Testament Scriptures. AMRH requests an offering of $135.00 per person for the weekend. A $25.00 deposit secures your reservation and is credited to your offering for the retreat.

¡Gracias!

A note from Fr. Tony The flu season is approaching. While we distribute communion under both kinds, one does not have
to receive both the body and precious blood. If you are sick or having symptoms, please consider not receiving from the chalice. Also, if you don’t feel comfortable receiving from the chalice during the flu season, you are not obligated to do so. While receiving communion under both kinds is a greater participation in the paschal mystery of Christ, it does not mean that one receives more of Jesus. If one receives communion under one kind, you receive the entire Christ. Also, if you are sick and don’t want to shake another’s hand during the sign of peace, you don’t have to. A bow, a nod of the head, the peace sign, and/or the word “peace” is just as effective as a hand shake or hug. If you are on the receiving end of this sign, please be aware that the person is just being considerate and not necessarily being rude. On a different note, remember I will be out of the office this week. Please pray for me! Have a great week!
obligado a hacerlo.
