    GLOSSARY GENTE 1

    Note: The nouns in this glossary that don’t have an articlebeside them are ones that follow the basic gender rule of  –a endings being feminine and –o endings being masculine.

    UNIT 1. PEOPLE WHO STUDY SPANISH

     We’re going to make first contact with the Spanish language and thecountries where it is spoken. We’re also going to meet our clasmates.

    1. THE FIRST DAY OF CLASS This is a language school in Spain. Luara, the teacher, is checkingthe register. Is everybody there? Put a cross (X) beside the namesof the students who are present.

    Then ask your partner what town or city he/she is from.

    Compare your results with a partner’s. Then ask him/her qtions to make his/her family tree.
