DESCRIPCIOacuteN DEL PROGRAMA

Este programa de beca parcial ofrece a estudiantes colombianos de pregrado maestriacutea y doctoradoinscritos en una universidad colombiana la posibilidad de realizar un curso de lengua y civilizacioacuten alemanasen una universidad en Alemania El programa de beca se destina a una lista especiacutefica de cursos Los cursos se llevaraacuten a cabo entre losmeses de enero y febrero del 2017 en cooperacioacuten con las universidades en Duumlsseldorf Berlin Duisburg-Essen Freiburg Kassel Koumlln y Lepzig (ver lista de cursos disponibles en el anexo 1 de esta convocatoria)

OBJETIVO

El DAAD ofrece las Becas para Cursos de Invierno en Universidades Alemanas con el propoacutesito de apoyar aestudiantes colombianos en el perfeccionamiento de su nivel de alemaacuten El programa se dirige a estudiantes de todas las disciplinas que certifiquen un nivel intermedio de alemaacuten(B1 seguacuten el Marco Comuacuten Europeo de Referencia para las Lenguas) y que quieran mejorar su nivel delidioma con un curso intensivo en Alemania Soacutelo pueden ser financiados los cursos de invierno seleccionados por el DAAD para este programa Lalista de los cursos se encuentra en el anexo 1 de esta convocatoria Las becas son parciales y requieren una cofinanciacioacuten por parte del estudiante

DURACIOacuteN

Los cursos tienen una duracioacuten de hasta 6 semanas y se ofreceraacuten entre los meses de enero y febrero del 2017

DOTACIOacuteN Y GASTOS QUE CUBRE EL PROGRAMA

La beca del DAAD incluye los siguientes montos Beca parcial por un monto uacutenico de 1725- euro Monto global de 1275- euro para los gastos de viaje (vuelos Colombia ndash Alemania ndash Colombia) Seguro meacutedico y seguro contra dantildeos a terceros

iexclImportante - Por regla general el alojamiento se contrataraacute a traveacutes del organizador del curso Los postulantes debencalcular seguacuten los costos establecidos para los cursos y el alojamiento (ver anexo 1 de esta convocatoria)queacute suma de la beca ofrecida por el DAAD deberaacuten destinar para matricularse en el curso y contratar elalojamiento y cuaacutento les quedaraacute para otros gastos (alimentacioacuten transporte puacuteblico etc) durante laestadiacutea en Alemania De esta manera el solicitante podraacute deducir cuaacutel es la suma que tiene que financiarcon recursos propios El DAAD recomienda contar con miacutenimo 100 euro semanales adicionales a los costosdel curso y del alojamiento- Tanto los costos de matriacutecula para el curso como los gastos de alojamiento seraacuten descontadosdirectamente por los institutos que ofrecen los cursos de la cuota uacutenica de beca que otorga el DAAD(1725- euro) El dinero restante seraacute entregado al becario en Alemania por parte del respectivo instituto deidiomas- El costo de los tiquetes aeacutereos deberaacute ser asumido inicialmente por los becarios Una vez los becarioslleguen a Alemania el monto estipulado por el DAAD para los tiquetes (1275- euro) tambieacuten les seraacutereembolsado a traveacutes de los respectivos institutos de idiomas donde los becarios tomaraacuten el curso

REQUISITOS PARA PARTICIPAR EN EL PROGRAMA

Se pueden postular estudiantes de universidades colombianas inscritos en programas de pregradomaestriacutea o doctorado (de cualquier disciplina) que hayan cursado al menos dos antildeos de estudiossuperiores al inicio de la beca En el momento de la postulacioacuten a la beca y durante el curso de idioma los candidatos deben estarmatriculados en una universidad en Colombia o en alguno de los siguientes paiacuteses Argentina AustraliaBrasil Chile Ecuador Namibia Nueva Zelanda Paraguay Peruacute Sudaacutefrica Uruguay o Zimbabwe Si loscandidatos que se encuentran estudiando en universidades de estos paiacuteses llevan maacutes de cinco antildeosresidiendo alliacute al momento de la postulacioacuten deben consultar con la oficina del DAAD en los respectivospaiacuteses para establecer si una postulacioacuten a traveacutes de esa oficina es posible Los estudiantes que en el momento de la postulacioacuten esteacuten inscritos en un programa de pregrado peroque terminaraacuten su carrera antes del inicio de la beca soacutelo podraacuten postularse a la presente convocatoria sitienen previsto cursar una maestriacutea en una universidad colombiana inmediatamente despueacutes de culminar elpregrado Estos estudiantes deben comprobar con una carta de admisioacuten a la maestriacutea que estaraacuteninscritos en el programa de maestriacutea en el momento del inicio de la beca Los solicitantes deben tener nacionalidad colombiana Los candidatos deben acreditar buenos conocimientos de alemaacuten Eso significa que deben estar encondiciones de seguir exposiciones en alemaacuten y deben ser capaces de participar en trabajos en equipo Esindispensable que tengan un nivel miacutenimo de alemaacuten equivalente al B1 culminado de acuerdo con elMarco Comuacuten Europeo de Referencia para las Lenguas (MCER) Para comprobar el nivel de alemaacuten sedebe aprobar el examen bdquoGoethe Zertifikat B1ldquo del Goethe-Institut o el examen onDaF (ver detalles conrespecto a la comprobacioacuten del nivel de alemaacuten en la siguiente seccioacuten de esta convocatoria) Los

candidatos deben tener el nivel de alemaacuten requerido al momento de entrega de la solicitud La edad miacutenima al inicio de la beca debe ser de 18 antildeos Los candidatos que hayan obtenido previamente una beca del DAAD para asistir a un curso de inviernoo de verano en una universidad alemana no pueden volver a presentar una postulacioacuten a este programacuando hayan transcurridos tres antildeos Sin embargo la obtencioacuten de una beca para participar en un cursode invierno no inhabilita para postularse a otros programas de becas del DAAD (por ejemplo de maestriacuteao doctorado)

COMPROBACIOacuteN DEL NIVEL DE ALEMAacuteN

Para participar en esta convocatoria es necesario certificar un nivel B1 de alemaacuten por medio de unexamen oficial El certificado de alemaacuten debe ser actual de preferencia no maacutes antiguo a 6 meses iexclNo seaceptaraacuten certificados B1 de maacutes de un antildeo de antiguumledad Soacutelo en los siguientes casos se aceptaraacutenexaacutemenes maacutes antiguos Deutsches Sprachdiplom deutsches Abitur certificado TestDaF con un nivel B2 omayor exaacutemenes del Goethe-Institut con un nivel B2 o mayor

El 13 de junio de 2016 publicamos y difundimos la hoja informativa ldquoComprobacioacuten del nivel dealemaacutenrdquo en donde dimos a conocer de manera anticipada a la publicacioacuten de esta convocatoria lasposibilidades para presentar el examen oficial del nivel B1 en Bogotaacute Medelliacuten y CaliAunque en el momento de apertura de la presente convocatoria las fechas para presentar los exaacutemenesen esas tres ciudades ya pasaron auacuten estaacute disponible la fecha para presentar el examen en la ciudad deCartagena

Comprobacioacuten del nivel B1 de alemaacuten en Cartagena

La Casa Cultural Colombo Alemana de Cartagena ofrece la posibilidad de presentar el examen ldquoGoethe Zertifikat B1rdquo en Cartagena Existe una soacutela opcioacuten para presentar el examen en la Costa Atlaacutentica

Lunes 1 de agosto de 2016 a las 9 am (inscripcioacuten uacutenicamente el 18 y el 19 de julio de 2016 hasta el mediodiacutea)

El examen se realizaraacute en la Casa Cultural Colombo Alemana de Cartagena (Calle Estanco del Aguardiente 5-31 Centro Histoacuterico Cartagena de Indias) La inscripcioacuten al examen se debe hacer directamente a traveacutes del correo electroacutenico infocolomboalemanacomco

Toda la informacioacuten con respecto a los costos del examen debe averiguarse a traveacutes de este correo electroacutenico o llamando al +57 5 6685368

Es indispensable tener en cuenta los siguientes puntos al enviar el correo de inscripcioacuten al examen

1 Escribir en el asunto del correo Inscripcioacuten al examen ldquoGoethe-Zertifikat B1rdquo - 010820162 Especificar el nombre completo direccioacuten fecha y lugar de nacimiento correo electroacutenico nuacutemerotelefoacutenico y motivo del examen3 Enviar en un archivo de PDFadjunto la ceacutedula y el comprobante de pago El archivo debe ser legible

No existe un nuacutemero de cupos limitados sin embargo soacutelo se realizaraacute el examen si se inscriben al menos 4 personas Por ninguacuten motivo el DAAD podraacute intervenir o habilitar horarios fechas o cupos adicionales

Teniendo en cuenta que la fecha de realizacioacuten del examen y la fecha de cierre de la convocatoria (15 de agosto) son muy cercanas para que los candidatos que presentan el examen B1 en Cartagena alcancen a postularse a tiempo a las becas del DAAD deberaacuten firmar una autorizacioacuten para que la Casa Cultural Colombo Alemana pueda remitir directamente al DAAD los resultados del examen La entrega del certificado original se realizaraacute en Cartagena pero es indispensable que los candidatos firmen esta autorizacioacuten de lo contrario no podraacuten entrar en el proceso de seleccioacuten del DAAD si reciben el certificado despueacutes del cierre de la convocatoria

Comprobacioacuten del nivel B1 de alemaacuten en Bogotaacute Medelliacuten y Cali

Aunque como ya se mencionoacute en estas tres ciudades las fechas de inscripcioacuten para presentar el examen del nivel B1 de alemaacuten no son vigentes en el momento de apertura de esta convocatoria la informacioacuten sobre las fechas de inscripcioacuten y realizacioacuten de los exaacutemenes se hizo puacuteblica a traveacutes de la hoja informativa ldquoComprobacioacuten del nivel de alemaacutenrdquo publicada y compartida en junio a traveacutes de todas las redes del DAAD Colombia Esta hoja informativa se puede consultar en el siguiente enlace httpwwwdaadcoes12396indexhtml

COacuteMO CONCURSAR

Los candidatos a las becas para Cursos de Invierno en Universidades Alemanas deben registrarse y realizar su proceso de postulacioacuten a traveacutes del sistema de postulacioacuten online (DAAD Portal) implementado por el DAAD Alemania

Posterior al proceso de postulacioacuten online los candidatos deben imprimir el archivo (resumen) que genera automaacuteticamente el DAAD Portal una vez se ha completado la solicitud en liacutenea El resumen de la postulacioacuten es un archivo en PDF que contiene todos los documentos que el candidato ha subido al DAAD Portal Este archivo (resumen) de la postulacioacuten se debe enviar por correo fiacutesico al Centro de Informacioacuten del DAAD en Bogotaacute junto con la carta de recomendacioacuten de un profesor en sobre sellado (ver la seccioacuten de esta convocatoria Lista de la documentacioacuten requerida)

La fecha liacutemite para registrarse y completar la postulacioacuten a traveacutes del DAAD Portal en el marco de esta convocatoria es el 15 de agosto de 2016 a las 1159 pm (hora alemana) Esta misma fecha aplica tambieacuten para el enviacuteo en fiacutesico de la postulacioacuten al Centro de Informacioacuten del DAAD en Bogotaacute Las solicitudes uacutenicamente seraacuten tenidas en cuenta si se presentan completas y en las dos formas de entrega postulacioacuten online a traveacutes del DAAD Portal y enviacuteo en fiacutesico al Centro de Informacioacuten del DAAD en Bogotaacute Las solicitudes incompletas mal diligenciadas o que se entreguen despueacutes de la fecha de cierre no seraacuten tenidas en cuenta

iexclNo es necesario entregar personalmente la postulacioacuten tambieacuten se puede enviar por correo fiacutesico certificado Para conocer todos los detalles de la entrega es indispensable leer la seccioacuten Fecha de cierre de la convocatoria 2016

Con el fin de facilitar el proceso de postulacioacuten a traveacutes del DAAD Portal el DAAD Alemania ha creado un instructivo que describe paso a paso lo que el candidato debe hacer para poder completar su solicitud Este instructivo para el uso del DAAD Portal (Manual on using de portal) se encuentra como anexo III de esta convocatoria El instructivo estaacute dividido en 4 partes

I Coacutemo registrarse en el DAAD Portal (Registering in the Portal)II Coacutemo subir la postulacioacuten (Submitting an application)III Coacutemo hacer modificaciones posteriores en la postulacioacuten (Changes to personal data)IV Coacutemo subir documentacioacuten adicional (Subsequent submission of attachments)

Para que el instructivo sea aprovechado al maacuteximo y no surjan preguntas que se responden en el mismo es indispensable leer detalladamente cada indicacioacuten previa y posterior al paso en el que se encuentre Dado que el diligenciamiento de la solicitud online soacutelo se puede hacer en ingleacutes o en alemaacuten el instructivo se encuentra en ingleacutes

El candidato debe subir al DAAD Portal su postulacioacuten completamente diligenciada incluyendo uacutenicamente la documentacioacuten solicitada y en el orden estricto que se menciona en la presente convocatoria (ver la seccioacuten Lista de la documentacioacuten requerida)

iexclImportante En caso de tener problemas teacutecnicos con el DAAD Portal los postulantes deberaacuten comunicarse en ingleacutes o en alemaacuten directamente con el personal de servicio teacutecnico en la Central del DAAD en Alemania Losdatos de contacto se encuentran en la seccioacuten Contacto de esta convocatoria El DAAD Colombia nopodraacute responder preguntas relacionadas con este tipo de problemas ya que el DAAD Portal esadministrado directamente desde AlemaniaRecomendamos no dejar para uacuteltimo momento la postulacioacuten ya que las inquietudes que eventualmentese deban resolver con los encargados de la plataforma online (DAAD Portal) en el DAAD Alemaniapueden requerir varios diacuteas En esos casos el DAAD Colombia no podraacute orientar ni intervenir

Para que el proceso de postulacioacuten esteacute completo los candidatos a las Becas para Cursos de Invierno en Universidades Alemanas deben realizar tres pasos en el siguiente orden

1 Registro en el DAAD-Portal- Link de acceso al DAAD-Portal httpsportaldaadde- Las indicaciones para realizar exitosamente el registro en el DAAD Portal se encuentran en el anexo III de esta convocatoria Instructivo para el uso del DAAD-Portal (Manual on using the portal) numeral I iquestCoacutemo registrarse en el DAAD-Portal (Registering in the portal)

2 Diligenciamiento de la solicitud online en el DAAD-Portal- Para diligenciar la solicitud online es indispensable seguir los pasos indicados en el anexo III de esta convocatoria (Instructivo para el uso del DAAD-Portal (Manual on using the portal) bajo el numeral II Coacutemo subir la postulacioacuten (Submitting an application))- El diligenciamiento de la solicitud online soacutelo se puede hacer en ingleacutes o en alemaacuten- Los postulantes deben subir su documentacioacuten al DAAD Portal exactamente en el orden indicado en la seccioacuten Lista de la documentacioacuten requerida de esta convocatoria

iexclImportante Aunque en la interfaz del DAAD Portal pueden aparecer solo algunos documentos sentildealados como obligatorios (por ejemplo la hoja de vida y la carta de motivacioacuten) aclaramos que todos los documentos que aparecen en la Lista de la documentacioacuten requerida de esta convocatoria son de caraacutecter obligatorio y deben subirse al DAAD Portal para que la postulacioacuten esteacute completa Solo la carta de recomendacioacuten del profesor debe entregarse uacutenicamente en la postulacioacuten fiacutesica y no hay que subirla a la plataforma online pues debe presentarse en un sobre sellado con la firma del docente que expide la recomendacioacuten

3 Enviacuteo de la postulacioacuten en fiacutesico al Centro de Informacioacuten del DAAD en Bogotaacute- Despueacutes de haber diligenciado la solicitud en liacutenea los candidatos deben imprimir el archivo (resumen)en PDF generado automaacuteticamente por el DAAD Portal y ponerlo en una carpeta junto con la carta derecomendacioacuten del profesor El resumen de la postulacioacuten es un documento que contiene todos losarchivos subidos a traveacutes de la plataforma online iexclLa versioacuten en fiacutesico de la postulacioacuten es la impresioacutenque se debe realizar del PDF que genera el DAAD-Portal con las paacuteginas numeradas- Los diferentes documentos que componen la solicitud deben hacerse llegar en una carpeta y sobresellado directamente al Centro de Informacioacuten del DAAD Bogotaacute (ver direccioacuten en la seccioacuten Contacto)Todas las indicaciones para el enviacuteo de la postulacioacuten en fiacutesico se encuentran maacutes adelante en la seccioacutenFecha de Cierre de la Convocatoria 2016- Los documentos subidos a traveacutes del DAAD Portal y los que se enviacutean en fiacutesico deben ser ideacutenticosexcepto por la carta de recomendacioacuten acadeacutemica que no debe subirse al DAAD Portal Por este motivoes obligatorio realizar en primer lugar la postulacioacuten a traveacutes del DAAD Portal y luego imprimir elresumen (documento en PDF) arrojado por el DAAD Portal Este resumen impreso maacutes la carta derecomendacioacuten acadeacutemica que se entrega en sobre sellado con la firma del profesor deben componer lapostulacioacuten fiacutesica- En ninguacuten caso se podraacute enviar la solicitud directamente al DAAD Alemania ni se aceptaraacutenpostulaciones que lleguen despueacutes del cierre de la convocatoria- Para poder preparar una solicitud completa los interesados deben guiarse exclusivamente por estaconvocatoria y no por los documentos que aparecen como obligatorios en la interfaz del DAAD Portal

LISTA DE LA DOCUMENTACIOacuteN REQUERIDA

1 Formulario de solicitud online disponible en el DAAD PortalEl formulario debe ser completamente diligenciado en ingleacutes o alemaacuten (ver anexo II de esta convocatoria Instructivo para diligenciar el formulario de solicitud)

2 Hoja de vida en alemaacuten firmadaEn la hoja de vida se deben indicar el correo electroacutenico y el nuacutemero de teleacutefono actuales asiacute como la direccioacuten de domicilio en la cual se puede recibir correspondencia Si por alguacuten motivo el candidato planea mudarse debe indicar una direccioacuten fija y confiable a la cual el DAAD pueda enviarle futuras comunicaciones en caso de ser necesarioLa hoja de vida debe ser completa e indicar todas las actividades acadeacutemicas y profesionales desarrolladas hasta la fecha de la postulacioacuten El candidato tambieacuten deberaacute indicar si ha estado en Alemania durante cuaacutento tiempo y queacute actividad realizaba

3 Carta de motivacioacuten en alemaacutenLa carta tiene que ser redactada en alemaacuten y debe explicar detalladamente las razones por las cuales el postulante se interesa en participar en esta convocatoria asiacute como su viacutenculo con el idioma alemaacuten hasta la fecha Se debe tener en cuenta que la carta de motivacioacuten forma parte fundamental de la postulacioacuten Recomendamos entregar una carta que explique de forma detallada y bien fundamentada el contexto acadeacutemico y personal (pasado presente y futuro) del postulante asiacute como los motivos de la postulacioacuten a este programa especiacutefico No es suficiente mencionar soacutelo el intereacutes general por conocer mejor la lengua y la cultura alemanas La carta debe estar firmada por el postulante y tener la fechaiexclEs obligatorio que la carta sea redactada por el candidato mismo y no por una persona que domine el idioma alemaacuten El no cumplimiento de este requerimiento puede llevar a la exclusioacuten del candidato del proceso de seleccioacuten

4 Carta de recomendacioacuten acadeacutemica de un profesor (diligenciada en alemaacuten ingleacutes o espantildeol)La carta recomendacioacuten tambieacuten forma parte fundamental de la postulacioacuten La carta debe ser escrita por un profesor de la respectiva carrera del solicitante que proporcione informacioacuten sobre la aptitud acadeacutemica del candidato El postulante deberaacute explicarle al profesor que lo recomienda la importancia de esta carta y pedirle redactarla lo maacutes completa y detalladamente posible No es suficiente mencionar uacutenicamente que el estudiante tiene un buen promedio acadeacutemico El docente que recomienda al candidato deberiacutea mencionar por ejemplo desde cuaacutendo conoce al postulante cuaacuteles son los beneficios especiacuteficos que tendraacute el estudiante al recibir la beca etc La carta de recomendacioacuten debe referirse expresamente al candidato y al curso que desea hacer en Alemania

El candidato podraacute elegir una de estas tres opciones para la presentacioacuten de la carta de recomendacioacuten

- Descargar el formato de carta de recomendacioacuten habilitado en el DAAD Portal Este formatouacutenicamente podraacute descargarse mientras el DAAD Portal se encuentre habilitado (ver seccioacuten Fecha de

cierre de la convocatoria 2016) Para descargar este formato del DAAD Portal debe seguirse esta ruta Personal Funding =gt Request for Letter of recomendation =gt Create recommendation form

- Tambieacuten es posible descargar un formato para cartas de recomendacioacuten disponible en la paacutegina web delDAAD Colombia (ver uacuteltimo enlace al final de la paacutegina httpwwwdaadcoes12365indexhtml) Esteformato siempre estaacute disponible en ese enlace

- La otra alternativa es que el docente que recomienda escriba la carta sin utilizar un formato especiacuteficopero entonces la carta debe tener membrete oficial de la universidad En este caso es necesario que elprofesor se oriente por las preguntas del formato del DAAD disponible enhttpwwwdaadcoes12365indexhtml

iexclImportante - Dado que esta carta se debe entregar en sobre sellado el postulante uacutenicamente debe incluirla en lapostulacioacuten en fiacutesico y no en la postulacioacuten que sube de forma online al DAAD Portal- La carta debe incluir el grado acadeacutemico el cargo los datos de contacto y la firma de la persona queescribe la carta Sin firma esta carta no seraacute vaacutelida- Por ninguacuten motivo el postulante debe abrir el sobre que contiene la recomendacioacuten acadeacutemica La cartano debe ser maacutes antigua de 6 meses y debe ser emitida por un docente que proporcione informacioacutensobre la aptitud acadeacutemica del candidato Esta carta constituye una parte fundamental de la postulacioacutenPor esto quien expide dicha carta debe ser consciente de su importancia y dar cuenta de toda lainformacioacuten que considere relevante para la solicitud del candidato

5 Certificaciones acadeacutemicasSe deben entregar fotocopias sencillas con traducciones simples (no oficiales) al ingleacutes o al alemaacuten de lossiguientes documentos Para postularse a esta convocatoria no es obligatorio realizar el proceso delegalizacioacuten apostillaje y traduccioacuten oficial de los documentos La central del DAAD en Bonn se reserva elderecho de solicitar eventualmente los documentos en forma certificada

Certificado de inscripcioacuten a la universidad colombianaSe debe entregar una fotocopia del certificado que compruebe que el candidato se encuentra inscrito enuna universidad de cualquiera los paiacuteses a los que se dirige la convocatoria tanto en el momento de lasolicitud como durante el eventual viaje a Alemania Es posible entregar certificados de pago de matriacuteculao un certificado de estudios expedido de forma oficial por la universidad Si hasta la fecha de cierre de laconvocatoria el candidato auacuten no cuenta con el recibo de pago de la matriacutecula del siguiente semestrepuede adjuntar una constancia (email o carta oficial) de su universidad que certifique que el estudiante seencuentra inscrito actualmente y que indique cuaacutendo seraacuten las fechas de inscripcioacuten para el segundosemestre de 2016Los candidatos recieacuten graduados de pregrado o de maestriacutea pueden postularse a este programa de becasuacutenicamente si inmediatamente despueacutes de obtener el tiacutetulo tienen previsto cursar una maestriacutea o undoctorado y por lo tanto cuentan con la admisioacuten al programa de posgrado

Registering for a DAAD Portal Account

Aim

In order to use the DAAD Portal and for instance submit an application you have to register an account first

You only have to register once and in doing so you make yourself known to the Portal system as a user This will enable you to find your personal data again every time you use the Portal in the future

During the registration process you will need to enter your name and email address Your email address will serve as a unique user id to authorize you to use the Portal in the future and access your application data every time you log in

You must register successfully in order to log into the Portal You have to log in at the start of each session in the DAAD Portal This involves entering your email address or your personal user name specified by you during registration (only available to users who have registered before June 20 2014) and your chosen password which is intended to protect your data

Useful tips

The Portal can currently be used with Windows Mac OS and Linux Compatiblebrowsers are Internet Explorer Mozilla Firefox Google Chrome Opera (Version 15 and higher) and Safari Detailed information on the technical requirements can be found via the following web address httpwwwdaaddesapportaltechnische_voraussetzungenPBF_enhtml

The portal will then present you a feedback message saying that the initial part of the registration was successful and that you will receive an email including your activation link shortly

You may only log into the DAAD Portal using your email address and password after you have activated your account

8 Check your emails and open the email you have received from the DAAD Portal andclick on the activation link

This email also includes an overview of the data you provided during the registration process

9 Following the activation link will take you to a new page titled Activate useraccount

Please activate the user by clicking on the button

You will receive a message confirming the successful activation of your user account You can navigate to the login page via the link to the DAAD Portal included in this message

You have now successfully completed your registration as well as activation of your account

10 You may now log into the DAAD Portal using your email address and your personalpassword

The password you have chosen is now valid and must be used when you log in again in the future so make sure you memorize it well In case you forgot your password you can request a new temporary one via the DAAD Portal login page (for detailed information see below) User accounts that were locked due to several incorrect password entries will be unlocked during the request of a new password If you experience technical problems during the process please contact our technical support hotline (portaldaadde or +49 (0) 228 882 888 - weekdays 9 am - 12 pm and 2 - 4 pm CET)

11 In order to request a new temporary password please navigate via the Forgotyour Password option and click on the respective link provided

A new page will open on which you can request a new temporary password

In the field Email address please enter the email address you used for

registration Then click on the button

An email including a link to reset the old password will be send to the emailaddress you provided during registration Please confirm the reset of your password by clicking on the corresponding link

In the next step you may set your new password

Procedure

1 If you would like to submit an application via the DAAD Portal please start by selecting your chosen programme in our database for scholarship holders or academic teaching staff This ensures that the programme and other information is already entered in the application form making it easier for you to fill in

The scholarship database can be found outside the DAAD Portal on the DAAD website

2 You will be directed to the DAAD Portal If you have not yet registered an account please do so now Consult the chapter Registration of the documentation if you require help with this procedure

Once you have logged in you will be taken directly to the Personal funding section of the Portal To begin the application process please click on the field Application

The funding programme the country in which the programme is being offered the destination country and the applicant status are entered automatically in advance

To go to the application form click on Continue above the selected funding programme


3 This will take you to the Funding application section

4 In the Personal funding section we provide a step-by-step procedure for you tofollow to download an application form fill it in and upload it again to the Portal

This procedure is divided into three different steps

Step 1 Download the form and fill in the required information

Step 2 Upload the form

Step 3 The form is checked automatically by the system

You can navigate from step to step by clicking on

The currently active step will be shown in white In the illustration below this is step 1 (Download form) Step 2 and 3 are greyed out


After you have downloaded the application form you can fill it in outside the Portal Once you have completed the form save it and go back into the Portal and return to the Personal funding tab

Here on the lower half of the homepage you will find an overview of the application(s) you have started Highlight your application so that it is marked in orange and click on Continue application

If the application deadline for a funding programme has passed the end of the application period is shown in red in the table of started applications

If you select a started application after the deadline has passed the Continue application button will be greyed out making it impossible to continue the application process any further

5 To upload a completed form confirm that you have downloaded the form by clickingon the Continue to the next step button

6 Finally in step 2 (Upload the form) you can select the completed form on your datacarrier using the Browse button and upload it by clicking on Upload


The uploaded form is now checked automatically to ensure that it is complete If any mandatory fields have not been filled in for example such errors are shown in a list under Step 3


7 If there are problems with your application please make sure that you download the current form via the link Download current application form Do not use the version of the file already saved to your computer Please make the necessary changes in the current form and use the Save as function to save the new corrected document in a location of your choice This ensures you are able to upload the most recent version to the portal

8 To upload the corrected form click on

This will take you back to step 2

9 If your corrections are successful you will receive a message to confirm this Clicking on Continue will then take you to the Attachments section the third part of the application process

In the Attachments section you can add the required attachments to your funding application


To ensure that we can process these attachments in our digital files please upload them in PDF format only Any other file format will need to be converted beforehand Please note that changing the end of the file name (eg from doc to pdf) is not a viable way of converting files in this case

Current versions of most Office suites offer a Save as PDF function Additionally there are several freeware programs which can be used to convert Word documents to PDF

Please also make sure that the PDF files you upload are NOT encrypted and do NOT have any commenting restrictions on them It is also advisable to check documents which you have already received in PDF format

These PDFs cannot be processed in our system so we would have to ask for the document to be resubmitted

10 To add attachments first choose the type of attachment from the dropdown menu

11 Click on Browse to find and select the relevant PDF on your system After that entera unique specific name under which the attachment will be filed and click AddDocument

Per attachement type only the specified number of documents can be uploaded

In the upper left corner you will see a confirmation that your attachment has been added to your application


The uploaded attachment now appears in the list of added documents

12 Please note that you will not be able to submit your application without uploading the attachments required by your specific funding programme (please consult your funding guide) As long as you have not uploaded at least one document of each required attachment type (see the notice on the right side of the portal) the Continue button will be greyed out and not selectable

13 Please also note that per attachment type there is a restriction of the number of files and the file-size itself (eg

)

Furthermore a progress bar shows how many kilobytes have been uploaded and if the maximum size of all added documents has been hit


When you have uploaded your required attachments click on Continue in the navigation menu in the top left

This will take you to an overview of your application

Here you can once again access your application form and the uploaded attachments If you wish you can make changes to the form or upload further attachments

14 In order to submit your application you will have to confirm that you have acknowledged the note on how to proceed further

After you have sent off your application an application summary will be displayed in a confirmation message This must be printed out and sent in the post to the applications office responsible for your country by the application deadline stated for your country in three paper copies (for your application location and deadline see country-specific information in the programme advertisement) The application is only valid if it is also submitted in hard copy (exclusively as a printout of the application summary mentioned above) in the post and before the deadline


After you have acknowledged the note you can send the application via the button Send Documents

15 You will now receive a message confirming that your application has been submitted successfully

A few minutes after sending your application you will be able to view it in the Application and funding overview

16 In the messaging system located below the applications you will find an additional confirmation of your submitted application An email will inform you when messages arrive for you in this section

To open a message please click the black triangle in front of it

If you have already submitted more than one application you will first need to select the correct one to view your messages


17 Attached to the confirmation of the successful submission of the application you will find a PDF file titled application summary It contains your application form and all submitted attachments

Please take note of the next steps required for the application process listed in the confirmation message specifically regarding the mailing of physical copies of your forms to the information and advice centre in your country

18 To exit the Portal please click Log off in the upper right corner and click Yes in the confirmation dialogue

You should have already submitted at least one application for personal funding via the Portal

Procedure

1 Start by clicking on Application and funding overview in the Personal funding tab Then click on the arrow in front of Options in the navigation menu on the left to open the selection options

Select the option Change personal data

Like the application procedure the procedure for filling in the form for changing personal data is divided into three steps

1 Download the form and fill in the required information 2 Upload the form 3 Check the form Once you have downloaded the form you can fill it in outside the Portal using Adobe Reader When the PDF along with all its contents has been saved it can then be uploaded into the Portal again

The currently active step in the procedure will be shown in white You can go to the next step or back to the previous step via the Continue to the next step or Back to the previous step buttons

Changes to personal data


2 If any errors occur during the check you will receive notifications of these You can correct entries and upload an updated version of the form in step 3

3 Once you have finished filling in the form you will proceed to the Summary stage


4 This offers you another opportunity to download and save the updated version of the form containing your personal data changes for your documents before actually sending it

5 As soon as you have clicked on the Send button you will receive confirmation that your personal data changes have been received A message will also appear informing you that in a few minutes you will be able to view a further confirmation with the change form attached

6 As soon as the message is generated in the Portal a notification about its availability in the Portal is sent to your e-mail address

7 To call up the messaging system please click on Application and funding overview

8 Since changes to personal data apply across all applications you will find messages relating to these in the Personal messages tab


9 The message once again confirms receipt of your changes and provides you with a copy of the submitted change form as an attachment

5 Start by clicking on Browse in the popup window that appears to find the document to be uploaded on your computer and select it Then please provide a self-explanatory name for the attachment so that it will be recognisable to our administrators

To ensure that we can process these attachments in our digital files please upload them in PDF format only Please make sure that the PDF files you upload are NOT encrypted and do NOT have any commenting restrictions on them It is also advisable to check documents which you have already received in PDF format


6 You will need to complete two further steps to send the attachment Please click on Add document to add the attachments to the list of attachments for subsequent submission

DESCRIPCIOacuteN DEL PROGRAMA

Este programa de beca parcial ofrece a estudiantes colombianos de pregrado maestriacutea y doctoradoinscritos en una universidad colombiana la posibilidad de realizar un curso de lengua y civilizacioacuten alemanasen una universidad en Alemania El programa de beca se destina a una lista especiacutefica de cursos Los cursos se llevaraacuten a cabo entre losmeses de enero y febrero del 2017 en cooperacioacuten con las universidades en Duumlsseldorf Berlin Duisburg-Essen Freiburg Kassel Koumlln y Lepzig (ver lista de cursos disponibles en el anexo 1 de esta convocatoria)

OBJETIVO

El DAAD ofrece las Becas para Cursos de Invierno en Universidades Alemanas con el propoacutesito de apoyar aestudiantes colombianos en el perfeccionamiento de su nivel de alemaacuten El programa se dirige a estudiantes de todas las disciplinas que certifiquen un nivel intermedio de alemaacuten(B1 seguacuten el Marco Comuacuten Europeo de Referencia para las Lenguas) y que quieran mejorar su nivel delidioma con un curso intensivo en Alemania Soacutelo pueden ser financiados los cursos de invierno seleccionados por el DAAD para este programa Lalista de los cursos se encuentra en el anexo 1 de esta convocatoria Las becas son parciales y requieren una cofinanciacioacuten por parte del estudiante

DURACIOacuteN

Los cursos tienen una duracioacuten de hasta 6 semanas y se ofreceraacuten entre los meses de enero y febrero del 2017

DOTACIOacuteN Y GASTOS QUE CUBRE EL PROGRAMA

La beca del DAAD incluye los siguientes montos Beca parcial por un monto uacutenico de 1725- euro Monto global de 1275- euro para los gastos de viaje (vuelos Colombia ndash Alemania ndash Colombia) Seguro meacutedico y seguro contra dantildeos a terceros
