    Fellow dogs of Dogland, thank you very much for coming here this morning. Thank you

    members of the Democratic Party of Dogland for supporting me in this campaign. I am very

    happy to be with you in this district today. I am going to say only a few words.

    I think President Bullydog has brought a lot of problems to our country and things remain thesame. Some dogs live a wonderful life in rich homes, eating three delicious meals a day, while

    the vast majority of dogs still live in the streets looking for food in garbage cans. Humans

    continue to treat us like mice. Pollution is making us sick and, in general, life is becoming more

    and more difficult. That is why today I say: Enough!

    I am standing in front of you because if you vote for me, I promise you this, my dear fellow

    dogs:

    I will build houses for every dog family. Dogs will no longer live in the streets. All dogs deserve

    to have homes with gardens and trees so their puppies can run up and down freely. I will createspecial schools for puppies where they will learn how to read and write. They will also learn

    how to fight cats.

    I will make special hospitals for dogs so they can be treated there they suffer from human or

    can aggression. I will create special dog social security so that dogs can visit their vets regularly

    in order to have a check up. And where are we going to get the money to do all this? I promise I

    will make humans pay special taxes for us! Yes, my dear fellow dogs. Humans will pay special

    taxes to make our lives more comfortable.

    So, dear fellow dogs, you can be sure that, together, we are going to win!

    The Porfiriato Age

    The government of Porfirio Daz established a long period of peace and political stability in

    Mexico after decades of civil war and the wars of Mexico against the United States and France.

    The policy of economic modernization of Porfirio Diaz was based on promoting foreign

    investment, creating an extensive productive infrastructure and building an extensive rail

    network in the country. In agriculture, the model was based on the large landed property and

    the subordination of the peasant villages. One of the axis of that agricultural policy was the

    offensive against communal ownership of rural land. During the government of Porfirio Diaz

    was privatized nearly 40 million has. of rural people, a quarter of the country. This process of

    land privatization was regionally differentiated, as well as the subordination of the great estates

    of the peoples and peasant labor. Rural discontent cause by the privatization of land was one of

    the reasons that influenced the outbreak of the 1910 revolution led by Francisco I. Madero.However, the ideology built by the winners of the revolution created a demonized image of the

    Diaz that does not correspond with reality, as shown by recent studies on the development of

    rural society during the Porfirio Daz regime.

    The modernism emerged in Mexico which left the national pride for the French influence. This

    theory was founded by the Nicaraguan poet Ruben Dario who proposed a reaction against the

    established of the literary and artistic habits; he declared freedom on the basis of certain rules,

    toward sentimentality. The modernist changed certain rules in verse and narrative, using

    metaphors. Mexico modernist writers were Luis G, Urbina and Amado Nervo.

    As a result of positivism philosophy in Mexico, it gave great importance to the study of history.

    The Diaz government needed to achieve a national unit, because there were still conservative

    groups in Mexican society. Therefore, the Ministry of Education, led by Justo Sierra, used the

    national history as a means to achieve national unit.

    The positivism favored the advance of Public Education and the main Mexican representative

    was Gabino Barrera. During the Porfiriato he led the foundation of public education by the

    other hand on the celebrations of the centenary of the Independence of Mexico, Justo Sierra

    presented to the Congress of the Union, an initiative to create the National University of

    Mexico, as a dependency added to the Ministry of Public Instruction and beautiful Arts. The law

    was promulgated on May 26, and the first university rector was Joaquin Egua Lis, during theyears of 1910-1913.
