Instrucciones de seguridad

• No permita utilizar el aparato a personas (incluidoslos niños) cuyas facultades físicas, sensorialeso mentales, así como su falta de conocimientoso de experiencia, les impida hacer un uso segurodel mismo si no están bajo vigilancia o han sidoinstruidos correctamente acerca del uso delaparato.

• Vigile a los niños para asegurarse de que nojuegan con el aparato.

• Los niños no deben tener acceso a las pilas. Los niños pueden meterse las pilas en la boca y atragantarse. En caso de ingestión de unapila consulte inmediatamente con un médico.

Para evitar el riesgo de muerte por descarga eléctrica:

• Conecte el aparato únicamente a una base deenchufe instalada y conectada a tierra de acuerdocon la normativa. La tensión de red debe corres-ponderse a los datos de la placa de característicasdel aparato.

• Preste atención de que el cable de red no semoje o entre en contacto con humedad duranteel servicio. Tiéndalo de modo que no pueda seraplastado o dañado de forma alguna.

• En caso de una clavija de red dañada o cable dered dañado, encomiende su sustitución a personaltécnico autorizado o al servicio de posventa conel fin de evitar riesgos.

• Deje que el servicio de asistencia técnica repareo en su caso sustituya la línea de conexión o bienlos aparatos que no funcionen correctamente.

• Utilice el aparato sólo en zonas secas.

No sumerja nunca el aparato en agua.Límpielo sólo con un trapo ligeramente humedecido.

• Asegúrese de que no puedan penetrar nunca líquidos ni objetos dentro del aparato.

• No coloque sobre el aparato ningún recipienteque contenga agua (como p. ej. un jarrón).

• Coloque el aparato próximo a la base de enchufede red. Preste atención a que la base de enchufede red quede fácilmente accesible.

• Para evitar tropiezos, no utilice cables de prolon-gación. En caso de peligro debe quedar accesiblerápidamente la clavija de red.

• No debe abrir la carcasa del aparato o intentarrepararlo. En este caso no existe seguridad y perderá el derecho a la garantía. Las reparaciones deben llevarse a cabo exclusiva-mente en un taller especializado o bien en elcentro de servicio técnico.

Nota acerca de la desconexión deredEl interruptor de POWER del aparato no lo desconecta completamente de la red eléctrica.Además, en el modo inactivo el aparato tambiénconsume corriente. Para desconectar el aparatocompletamente de la red es necesario extraer laclavija de red de la base de enchufe.

Nota acerca de la manipulación delas pilas

El mando a distancia utiliza pilas. Tenga en cuentalo siguiente a la hora de manipular pilas:

¡Riesgo de explosión!No arroje las pilas al fuego. No vuelva a cargarlas pilas.

• No abra las pilas, no estañe ni suelde las pilasnunca. ¡Existe riesgo de explosión y de lesiones!

• Compruebe periódicamente las pilas. Las pilasgastadas pueden ocasionar daños al aparato.

• Cuando no vaya a utilizar el aparato duranteun periodo prolongado, extraiga las pilas.Si las pilas han perdido líquido, utilice guantesde protección.

• Limpie el compartimiento de pilas y los contactosde las pilas con un paño seco.

A fin de evitar peligro de quemaduras y otros daños personales:

• No coloque velas u otros tipos de fuentes de calor sobre el aparato.

• No utilice el aparato en la proximidad de superficies calientes.

• No coloque el aparato en lugares que estén ex-puestos a la radiación solar directa. De otro modopodría sobrecalentarse y dañarse de formairreparable.

• Coloque el aparato de modo que no se puedaproducir ninguna acumulación de calor, es decirlibre de objetos y bien ventilado.

• Nunca cubra los orificios de ventilación.• ¡Evite el suministro de calor adicional como p. ej.

el debido a la radiación directa del sol,calefactores u otros aparatos, etc.!

• Mantenga a los niños alejados de la línea deconexión y del aparato. Los niños a veces menos-precian los riesgos que entrañan los aparatoseléctricos.

• Procure un asiento estable del aparato.• En caso de que se caiga el aparato o esté dañado,

no deberá ponerlo de nuevo en funcionamiento.Deje que compruebe el aparato personal especia-lista cualificado y en su caso que lo repare.

• Los niños no deben tener acceso a las pilas. Los niños pueden meterse las pilas en la boca y atragantarse. En caso de ingestión de una pila, contacte unmédico de inmediato.

Indicación sobre la tensión de choque(EFT/proceso de paso eléctrico rápido)y descargas electroestáticas:En caso de un fallo de función debido a procesosde paso eléctrico rápido (tensión de choque)o descargas electroestáticas, se debe reposicionarel producto, con el fin de restablecer el modode funcionamiento normal. Es posible que seanecesario interrumpir la alimentación de corriente y volver a conectarlo.

Indicación:Este aparato está equipado con pies de gomaantideslizantes. Ya que las superficies de losmuebles están compuestas de los materiales másdiversos y son tratadas con todo tipo de productosde limpieza, no puede asegurarse que algunade estas sustancias no contenga componentesque debiliten y reblandezcan los apoyos de goma.Coloque en su caso una base antideslizantedebajo de los pies del aparato.

¡Peligro de radiación láser!Este aparato está provisto de un "láser declase 1".

• No abra nunca el aparato.

Puesta en funcionamiento

Desembalaje del aparatoRetire todo el material de embalaje. Retire también el seguro de transporte de la bandeja del CD.

¡Cuidado!No deje que los niños jueguen con los plásticos.¡Podrían asfixiarse!

Comprobación del volumen de suministroAl desembalar, asegúrese de que se hayan suministrado las piezas siguientes:- Microcadena- Mando a distancia- 2 pilas de 1,5 V tipo Micro AAA/R03- 2 altavoces- 2 soportes- Antena de cable (FM)- Antena de onda media (AM)- Accesorios de montaje

Colocar o suspender la microcadenaPuede instalar la microcadena horizontal o vertical-mente o bien montar la microcadena con los altavocesen la pared.

Indicación:Sea cual sea el tipo de instalación, asegúresede que se pueda abrir completamente labandeja de CD.

Instalación horizontal1. Coloque la microcadena sobre una superficie

horizontal plana.2. Coloque los altavoces, de acuerdo con las

conexiones, al lado derecho e izquierdo de lamicrocadena.

Instalación vertical1. Si desea instalar la microcadena en vertical,

introduzca cada uno de los soportes suministra-dos en los orificios en forma de llave situados enel lado posterior de la microcadena y deslice el soporte hasta el tope encima de lamicrocadena.

Ahora, la microcadena puede instalarse en vertical.2. Coloque los altavoces, de acuerdo con las

conexiones, al lado derecho e izquierdo de lamicrocadena.

Montaje muralPuede montar la microcadena y los altavoces enuna pared.

Indicación:Coloque el aparato y los altavoces en una pared estable.

1. Perfore en la pared los agujeros para los tornillosde la microcadena, uno al lado del otro horizontalmente, a una distancia de 19 cm.

2. Perfore en la pared los agujeros para los tornillosde los altavoces 35 mm por encima de lamicrocadena y a una distancia de al menos 7 cm del lado derecho e izquierdo de la misma.

Indicación:Para que los tornillos se puedan agarrar de formacorrecta en los soportes de la parte posterior dela microcadena o los altavoces, las cabezas delos tornillos deben sobresalir de la paredaprox. 3 mm.

3. Fije los tornillos a la pared, dependiendo de sucontextura, utilizando tacos.

4. Cuelgue la microcadena/los altavoces introdu-ciendo los orificios en forma de llave en lostornillos.

Introducción de las pilas en el mando a distanciaPara el mando a distancia necesita dos pilas de 1,5 Vde tipo Micro AAA/R03 (incluidas en el volumen de suministro).1. Abra el compartimento de pilas en la parte

posterior del mando a distancia.2. Introduzca las pilas en el compartimento de

pilas, siguiendo la polaridad indicada en elmismo.

3. Cierre la tapa compartimiento de pilas de nuevocon precaución hasta que encaje la tapa.

Manejo de las pilasLas pilas gastadas pueden ocasionar daños al aparato.

• Cuando no vaya a utilizar el aparato duranteun periodo prolongado, extraiga las pilas.

• Sustituya todas las pilas usadas simultánea-mente, utilice pilas del mismo tipo.

• Para cambiar las pilas derramadas utiliceguantes de protección y limpie el compartimentode pilas con un paño seco.

Conectar

AltavocesLos dos cables de los altavoces tienen en sus extremosuna clavija RCA.1. Conecte la clavija RCA del altavoz derecho

a la conexión de altavoz SPEAKER OUT R.2. Conecte la clavija RCA del altavoz izquierdo

a la conexión de altavoz SPEAKER OUT L.

Aparato de audio adicionalPuede conectar aparatos de audio adicionales como,p. ej., un discoreproductor de MiniDisc o un televisor,a la microcadena para reproducir el sonido a travésde ésta.1. Conecte la clavija RCA (canal derecho) del

aparato de audio a la conexión AUX IN R.2. Conecte la clavija RCA (canal izquierdo) del

aparato de audio a la conexión AUX IN L.

Conectar y configurar la antena deonda media/de cablePara la recepción de onda media (AM) tiene queconectar la antena de onda media a la microcadena.1. Desenrolle el cable de conexión de la antena.2. Abra el anillo lo suficiente hasta que escuche

como encaja en el soporte de la antena.3. Introduzca el conector de la antena en la

conexión de antena de onda media.Para la recepción de frecuencia modulada (FM)tiene que conectar la antena de cable a lamicrocadena.

4. Para conseguir una buena recepción con lamicrocadena, desenrolle completamente la antena de cable.

5. Introduzca el conector de la antena de cableen la base de conexión de 75 OHM JACK de la microcadena.

Indicación:Si la recepción es insuficiente, modifique la posición de la antena flexible.

Antena adicional mediante conexión de 75 ohmiosSi la recepción a través de la antena de cable sumi-nistrada es defectuosa, puede conectar la microcadenaa la antena de su edificio.• Introduzca el conector de la antena del edificio

en la base de conexión del 75 OHM JACK de la microcadena.

Conexión de los auricularesPuede conectar a la microcadena unos auricularesestéreo con clavija de 3,5 mm. La hembrilla de auri-culares se encuentra en el lado izquierdo de la micro-cadena. Una vez que haya conectado los auriculares,los altavoces se apagarán y sólo podrá oír el sonidoa través de los auriculares.• Conecte el conector de los auriculares en la toma

de auriculares.

Atención: ¡Escuchar música durante mucho tiempoa través de los auriculares con el volumenalto puede provocar problemas de audición!

Conexión a la red• Cuando haya realizado todas las conexiones,

conecte la clavija del cable de red a una basede enchufe.

Manejo

Conexión/desconexión del aparatoen modo standby1. Accione el pulsador POWER.

Si no se ha ajustado la hora en el display sevisualiza 00:00. La microcadena se encuentraen modo Standby.

2. Para encender la microcadena, pulse le tecla STANDBY.En la pantalla aparece la indicación HELLO y,a continuación, la última función utilizada.

3. Para conmutar el aparato de nuevo al modoStandby, pulse la tecla STANDBY.En el display aparece la indicación de GOOD BYE y a continuación la hora.

4. Para desconectar el aparato por completo, accione de nuevo el pulsador POWER.

Indicación:El ajuste de la hora no se conserva, si se desenchufa el aparato de la red.

Seleccionar el tipo de funcionamiento• Accione la tecla FUNCTION las veces necesarias

hasta que aparezca en el display el modo defuncionamiento elegido.

Regular el volumen• Para subir el volumen, pulse la tecla VOLUME+ en

el mando a distancia o en el frontal del aparato.• Para bajar el volumen, pulse la tecla VOLUME- en

el mando a distancia o en el frontal del aparato.En la pantalla se muestra brevemente el nivel de volumen ajustado.

Desconexión del sonido• Para desconectar el sonido, pulse la tecla MUTE

del mando a distancia.En la pantalla parpadea MUTE.

• Para conectar de nuevo el sonido, pulse nuevamentela tecla MUTE o accione una de las teclas VOLUME.

Ajustar el sonidoCon el ajuste de sonido puede adaptar la calidadde sonido a cada estilo musical. Puede seleccionarentre los siguientes ajustes:POP - JAZZ - FLAT - CLASSIC - ROCK• Accione la tecla EQlas veces necesarias hasta

que aparezca en el display el ajuste de sonidoelegido.

Si adapta el ajuste de sonido durante la reproducción,el sonido cambiará inmediatamente.En el ajuste FLAT el sonido se emite sin modificarlo.

Ajustar la hora

Sólo puede ajustar la hora en el modo de funcionamiento standby.1. Pulse la tecla MEM CLK-ADJ o bien PROG/MEM.

La indicación de horas de la pantalla parpadea.2. Para ajustar las horas, pulse la tecla

SKIP �o bien SKIP �.3. Para guardar el ajuste, pulse la tecla MEM CLK-

ADJ o PROG/MEM.En la pantalla parpadea la indicación de losminutos.

4. Para ajustar los minutos, pulse la tecla SKIP � o bien SKIP �.

5. Pulse la tecla MEM CLK-ADJ o bien PROG/MEM.Ahora, la hora está ajustada y activada.

Indicación:El ajuste de la hora no permanece memorizadasi se separa el aparato de la red eléctrica o biensi se desconecta mediante un interruptor de red.

Ajustar la función de alarma (Timer)Usted pude utilizar la microcadena como despertador.Para ello puede ajustar la hora, la fuente de sonidoy el volumen deseados. La microcadena se enciendey apaga entonces a la hora ajustada. Se puede dejardespertar por la radio, el sonido de un CD, tarjetade memoria o bien soporte de datos USB.

Indicación:Si desea ser despertado por el sonido de un CD,tarjeta de memoria o bien soporte de datos USB,deberá insertar previamente el medio correspondiente.

Si desea despertarse con la radio, sintoniceuna emisora, tal y como se describe en la sección "Funcionamiento de la radio".

Para proceder a los ajustes siguientes, el aparatodeberá encontrarse en modo Standby.

Seleccionar modo de funcionamiento1. Pulse la tecla TIMER.En la pantalla parpadea la indicación del modo defuncionamiento.2. Seleccione con la tecla FUNCTION el modo de

funcionamiento CD, USB, CARD o TUNER.

Ajuste del volumen3. Pulse la tecla TIMER.En la pantalla parpadea la indicación del volumen.4. Ajuste con las teclas VOLUME+ y VOLUME- el

volumen deseado.

Ajustar la hora de conexión5. Pulse la tecla TIMER. En el display aparece

ON y parpadea la indicación de horas para el tiempo de activación.

6. Para ajustar las horas de activación, pulse latecla SKIP �o SKIP �.

7. Para guardar el ajuste, vuelva a pulsar la tecla TIMER.En la pantalla parpadea la indicación de losminutos, para la hora de conexión.

8. Para ajustar los minutos, pulse la teclaSKIP � o bien SKIP �.

Ajustar hora de desconexión9. Para seleccionar las horas de la hora de des-

conexión, pulse la tecla TIMER.En el display aparece OFF y parpadea la indicación de horas.

10. Para ajustar las horas, pulse la tecla SKIP �o bien SKIP �.

11.Para guardar el ajuste, vuelva a pulsar la teclaTIMER.En la pantalla parpadea la indicación de losminutos, para la hora de desconexión.

12. Para ajustar los minutos, pulse la tecla SKIP � o bien SKIP �.

Indicación:Si la hora de desconexión es igual a la horade conexión, en el siguiente paso aparece laindicación ERROR.

Guardar ajustes13.Pulse la tecla TIMER.En el display aparece de nuevo la hora. Además unsímbolo de reloj indica que la función despertadorestá encendida.• Si desea desactivar la función de alarma, pulse

brevemente la tecla TIMER.• Para volver a activar la función de despertador,

pulse de nuevo la tecla TIMER y siga los pasosdescritos anteriormente para ajustar la funciónde despertador.

Activar la función de inactividad(Sleep)Usted puede ajustar un tiempo, después del cualdebe apagarse la microcadena. Puede seleccionarun tiempo de desconexión entre 10 y 90 minutos.1. Encienda la microcadena.2. Pulse repetidamente la tecla SLEEP hasta ajustar

correctamente el tiempo para la desconexión.En la pantalla se mostrará el tiempo para ladesconexión y SLEEP.

3. Cada vez que pulsa la tecla, el tiempo para ladesconexión se reduce en 10 minutos.Para desconectar la función de dormir, pulse latecla SLEEP las veces necesarias, hasta que sevisualice OFF en el display.

Funcionamiento de la radio

• Pulse varias veces la tecla FUNCTION, hasta queaparezca TUNER en el display.

Selección de la banda de frecuenciasLa microcadena puede recibir emisoras FM (UKW) y AM (MW).• Para seleccionar la banda de frecuencia, pulse

la tecla BAND.En la pantalla, aparece la indicación AM o bienla indicación FM.

Recepción estéreo/monoSi no funciona bien la recepción de FM, pulsela tecla FIND ST./MONO para pasar a Mono.

Durante el cambio aparecerá en la pantallabrevemente la indicación STEREO o MONO.

En el modo STEREO, si una emisora de FM seestá sintonizando en estéreo, se muestraSTEREO en la pantalla.

Búsqueda automática• Mantenga accionada brevemente la tecla

SKIP �o bien SKIP �. La búsqueda se inicia y sedetiene automáticamente, al encontrar unafrecuencia con suficiente fuerza de recepción.

• Para inicar de nuevo la búsqueda, mantenga de nuevo accionada brevemente la tecla SKIP �o SKIP �. .

• Para detener la búsqueda, pulse la teclaSKIP �o SKIP �.

Búsqueda manualCon la búsqueda manual puede llevar a cabo unasintonización exacta de la emisora p. ej. si las condiciones de recepción son complicadas.• Para aumentar la frecuencia de recepción, pulse

brevemente la tecla SKIP �.• Para reducir la frecuencia de recepción, pulse

brevemente la tecla SKIP �.

Memorizar emisora (Memory)Usted puede memorizar emisoras hasta en 45 posiciones de memoria (30 x FM y 15 x AM).• Seleccione una banda de frecuencias y sintonice

la emisora que desee, como se acaba de explicar.1. Para guardar la emisora, pulse la tecla

Funcionamiento del CD

• Pulse varias veces la tecla FUNCTION, hasta queaparezca el modo CD en el display.

Introducción de CD1. Para abrir la bandeja del CD, pulse la tecla

OPEN/CLOSE. .Se abre la tapa de la bandeja del CD.

Indicación:¡Antes de su primer uso, retire la protección de transporte de la bandeja de CD!

2. Introduzca el CD con la cara impresa hacia arriba en la bandeja de CD.

3. Pulse el CD ligeramente hacia abajo hasta que asiente fijamente sobre el eje.

4. Para cerrar la bandeja de CD, vuelva a pulsarla tecla OPEN/CLOSE. .En el display se muestran los datos (Númerode titulos y tiempo de reproducción) del CD.

Extracción del CD• Pulse la tecla OPEN/CLOSE para abrir la bandeja

de CD. Extraiga el CD.

Inicio de la reproducción• Pulse la tecla PLAY/PAUSE.

Detención de la reproducción• Pulse la tecla STOP.

Interrumpir/continuar la reproducción• Para interrumpir la reproducción, pulse durante

la misma la tecla PLAY/PAUSE. La indicaciónparpadea en la pantalla.

• Para continuar la reproducción, pulse de nuevola tecla PLAY/PAUSE.

Saltar título hacia delante y hacia atrás• Para reproducir el título siguiente del CD, pulse

la tecla SKIP �.• Para volver al principio del título actual, pulse la

tecla SKIP �.• Para reproducir el título anterior del CD, pulse

dos veces, brevemente una después de la otra,la tecla SKIP �.

Avanzar y retroceder título• Mantenga accionada durante la reproducción

la tecla SKIP � o SKIP � .• Manténgala accionada hasta alcanzar la posición

del título buscado.

Función de repetición (REPEAT)Con la función de repetición puede repetir cada unode los títulos de un CD o reproducir repetidamentetodos los títulos de un CD.• Para repetir títulos individuales, pulse la tecla REPEAT.

En la pantalla aparecerá REPEAT1.

• Para repetir todas las pistas de un CD, pulse dosveces la tecla REPEAT.En la pantalla aparecerá REPEAT ALL.

• Para salir de la función de repetición, pulse la tecla REPEAT las veces necesarias hasta que desaparezca la indicación de REPEAT1/REPEAT ALL.

Reproducir pistas en orden aleatorio(RAND)• Pulse en el mando a distancia la tecla RAND.

En la pantalla aparecerá la indicación RANDOM.La reproducción en orden aleatorio empezaráinmediatamente.

Programación de listas de reproducciónUsted puede programar el orden en el que sereproducirán las pistas de un CD. Para ello existen a disposición 64 posiciones dememoria.Esto sólo es posible si la reproducción está detenida.1. Pulse la tecla MEM CLK-ADJ o PROG/MEM.

En la pantalla aparecerá la posición de memoriaP--01 para la pista que debe reproducirse enprimer lugar.

2. Seleccione con la tecla SKIP � o SKIP �. la pistadeseada para la posición de memoria.

3. Para guardar el ajuste, pulse la tecla MEM CLK-ADJ o PROG/MEM.Para programar más pistas, repita los pasosanteriores.

Una vez ocupadas todas las posiciones de memoriaaparece en la pantalla la indicación de FULL .La programación continuará memorizada hastaque extraiga el CD de la bandeja del CD, pulse latecla STOP o desconecte la microcadena.

Funcionamiento del MP3

MP3MP3 designa un procedimiento y un formatode compresión de datos de audio desarrolladoen el Fraunhofer Institut.

Las piezas musicales comprimidas en formato MP3ocupan una fracción de su tamaño original, conlo cual se puede almacenar mucha más músicapor ejemplo en los CD-R/CD-RW que en los CDde audio tradicionales en los que se guardan losdatos en formato CDA.

Reproducir títulos de MP31. Introduzca un CD que contenga archivos MP3

en la bandeja del CD.2. Pulse varias veces la tecla FUNCTION, hasta que

aparezca el modo de funcionamiento CD en eldisplay. En el display se muestra la cantidadde álbumes y títulos de CD.

3. Para iniciar la reproducción del CD de MP3,pulse la tecla PLAY/PAUSE .

Mostrar los álbumesSi el CD contiene varios álbumes MP3, procedadel modo siguiente:1. Para seleccionar un álbum, pulse las teclas

mienzan con la letra "A" , pulse la tecla STOP.En el display aparece el nombre del primer título con la letra inicial "A”.

5. Pulse la tecla SKIP �.En la pantalla aparecerán el resto de los archivosque comiencen con la letra "A".

6. Para reproducir el título, pulse la tecla PLAY/PAUSE.7. Para iniciar la búsqueda de álbumes, pulse

dos veces la tecla FIND ST./MONO.En el display aparece el nombre del primer álbum.Si no hay álbumes memorizados sino archivos MP3individuales en el CD, aparece en el display“ROOT”.

Limpieza

Commissioning

Unpacking the deviceRemove all packing material. Remove also the transport restraint from the CD tray.

Important!Do not permit small children to play with theplastic packaging. There is a risk of suffocation!

Setting up or suspending the micro systemYou can set the micro system up either horizontallyor vertically, or you can suspend the micro systemand the loudspeakers against a wall.

Note:Take note that, whichever set-up method youselect, you need to be able to completely openthe flap of the CD compartment at all times.

Horizontal set-up1. Place the micro system on an even, level surface.2. Place the loudspeakers to the left and right of

the micro system, appropriate to the loudspeakerconnections.

Vertical set-up1. If you wish to set the micro system up vertically,

insert the supplied consoles into the key slotson the rear of the micro system and then slidethe console as far as they will go onto the microsystem.

The micro system can now be set-up vertically.2. Place the loudspeakers to the left and right of

the micro system, appropriate to the loudspeakerconnections.

Wall mountingYou can mount the micro system and the loudspeakersagainst a wall.

Note:Mount the device and the loudspeakers only toa solid wall.

1. Drill the screwholes, with a horizontal spacingof 19 cm from each other, into the wall for themicro-system.

2. Drill the screwholes for the loudspeakers intothe wall, 35 mm above those for the micro system and at a distance of at least 7 cm fromthe right and left sides of the micro system.

Note:To ensure that the screws can tightly hold themountings on the back of the micro-system/loudspeakers, the screw heads must protrudeout of the wall by approx 3 mm.

Inserting batteries into the remote control For the remote control you require two batteries, 1.5 VType Micro AAA/R03 (batteries supplied).1. Open the battery compartment on the rear of

the remote control.2. Insert the batteries, ensuring their positionings

comply with the polarity markings given in thebattery compartment.

3. Carefully close the battery compartment lid until it clicks into place.

Interaction with batteriesLeaking batteries can cause damage to the device.

• If you do not intend to use the device for anextended period, remove the batteries.

• Always change all batteries at the same timeand always use batteries of the same type.

• Should the batteries leak, wear protectivegloves and clean the battery compartmentwith a dry cloth.

LoudspeakersBoth loudspeaker leads have a cinch plug at eachend.1. Connect the cinch plug of the right loudspeaker

Connecting and aligning the mediumwave/wire aerial/antennaFor medium wave reception (MW) you must connectthe medium wave aerial to the micro system.1. Unwind the connecting cable from the aerial.2. Erect the ring until you hear it click into place in

the aerial base.3. Push the aerial plug into the connection for the

medium wave aerial.For VHF reception (FM) you must connect the wireantenna to the micro system.4. Carefully roll the wire antenna fully out, so that

the micro-system can provide good reception.5. Insert the antenna plug of the wire antenna

Note:Should FM radio reception be inadequate,change the position of the wire antenna.

Additional antenna via 75 ohm connectionShould FM radio reception via the supplied wire antenna be fully inadequate, you can connect ahouse antenna to the micro system.• Insert the antenna plug of the house antenna

Connecting HeadphonesYou can connect stereo headphones to the micro-systemwith a 3.5 mm jack plug. The headphone socket is situated on the left side of the micro system. Whenheadphones are connected, the loudspeakers areswitched off and you will only hear sound via the headphones.• Insert the jack plug on the headphones into the

headphone socket.

Warning: Listening to music with headphones forlong periods and at high volume levelscan lead to hearing damage!

Power supply• When all of the required connections have been

made, insert the plug on the power cable into awall power socket.

Operation

Switching the device on and off instandby mode1. Press the button POWER.If the time has not yet been programmed in, 00:00is shown in the display. The micro system is now instandby mode.2. To switch the micro system on, press the button

STANDBY.In the display the indicator HELLO appears and, afterwards, the last programmed function.3. To switch the device back into the standby

Setting the Clock

Setting the alarm function (timer)You can program your micro-system to wake you up.For this purpose you can set the desired waking time,the sound source and the volume. The micro-systemwill then switch itself on and off according to the settime. You can choose to be woken by the radio or bysounds from a CD, memory card or a USB memorystick.

Note:If you wish to be woken by sounds from a CD,memory card or a USB memory stick, you mustinsert the appropriate medium beforehand.

If you wish to be woken by the radio, tune in to a radio station as described under "Radiomode".

USB, CARD or TUNER.

Adjusting the volume.3. Press the button TIMER.The volume indicator flashes on the display.4. With the buttons VOLUME+ and VOLUME- select

Setting the switch-on time5. Press the button TIMER. In the display appears

ON and the hour indicator for the switch-ontime blinks.

6. To set the hour for the switch-on time, press thebuttons SKIP �or SKIP �.

7. To save the setting, press the button TIMER onceagain. The minute indicator for the switch-ontime now blinks in the display

Setting the switch-off time9. To programme in the hour for the switch-off

time, press the button TIMER. In the display appears OFF and the hour indicator blinks.

11.To save the setting, press the button TIMER onceagain. The minute indicator for the switch-offtime blinks in the display.

Note:If the switch-off time is the same as the switch-ontime, the indicator ERROR appears in the nextstep.

Saving the settings13.Press the button TIMER.The time appears in the display again. Additionally,a clock symbol indicates that the alarm function isactive.• Should you wish to deactivate the alarm function,

briefly press the button TIMER.• To reactivate the alarm function, press the button

TIMER once again and carry out the steps descri-bed above to programme in the alarm function.

Activating the sleep function (Sleep)You can detemine a time after which the micro-systemwill switch itself off. You can select a switch-off timebetween 10 and 90 minutes.1. Switch the micro-system on.2. Press the button SLEEP repeatedly until you have

entered in the desired switch-off time.In the display the switch-off time and SLEEP is in-dicated.3. Each time the button is pressed the switch-off

time is reduced by ten minutes.To switch the sleep function off, press the button SLEEPrepeatedly until OFF is indicated in the display.

• Press the button FUNCTION repeatedly until the indicator TUNER appears in the display.

Select frequency rangeYou can receive VHF (FM) and MW (AM) trans-missions with the micro system.• To select the frequency range, press the button

BAND. In the display appears the indicator AMor the indicator FM.

Stereo/Mono receptionIf VHF reception is disturbed, switch over toMono reception with the button FIND ST./MONO.

During the switch-over, the indicators STEREOresp. MONO appear briefly in the display.

With the setting STEREO, the stereo receptionof a VHF transmitter is shown in the display asSTEREO.

Automatic search function• Briefly hold the button SKIP �or SKIP �pressed

down.The search function begins and stops automaticallywhen a frequency with sufficient reception strengthhas been found.• To restart the search, once again briefly hold

the button SKIP �or SKIP �. pressed down.• To stop the search, press the button SKIP �or

SKIP �.

Manual searchWith the manual search function you can carry outa fine adjustment function of the stations, for example,if reception is disturbed.• To raise the reception frequency, briefly press the

button SKIP �.• To lower the reception frequency, briefly press

the button SKIP �.

Storing the stations (memory)You can save stations in up to 45 programme locations (30 x UKW and 15 x MW).• Select the frequency range and tune in to the

desired radio station as previously described.1. To save the radio station, press the button MEM

CLK-ADJ or PROG/MEM.In the display blinks indicator 1 for the programmelocation 1.2. Select the desired programme location with the

button ALBUM PRESET +/-.3. To confirm the programme location, press the

button MEM CLK-ADJ or PROG/MEM.The station is now saved in the selected program location.

Selecting saved stationsYou can select the saved stations during radio operation.1. With the button BAND, select the frequency range

in which the radio station has been saved.2. With the button ALBUM PRESET +/- select programme

location.

CD Playback

• Press the button FUNCTION repeatedly until the indicator CD appears in the display.

Inserting a CD1. To open the CD compartment, press the button

OPEN/CLOSE .The flap of the CD compartment opens itself.

Note:Ensure that the transport restraint has been removed from the CD compartment before the first use!

2. Insert the CD into the CD compartment with the printed side facing up.

3. Press the CD down slightly, until it is firmly posi-tioned on the axle.

4. To close the CD compartment, press the buttonOPEN/CLOSE once again.

In the display, the data (number of titles andtotal playing time) on the CD is indicated.

Removing the CD• Press the button OPEN/CLOSE to open the CD

compartment.Remove the CD.

Starting playback• Press the button PLAY/PAUSE.

Stopping the play function• Press the button STOP.Interrupting/continuing playback• To interrupt playback, during playback press the

button PLAY/PAUSE. The indicator in the displayblinks.

• To continue playback, press the button PLAY/PAUSEonce again.

Next/previous title• To jump to the next title of a CD during playback,

press the button SKIP �.• To return to the start of the title currently being

played, press the button SKIP �.• To playback a previous title on the CD again,

briefly double-press the button SKIP �.

Title fast forward/reverse• During playback, hold the button SKIP � or SKIP

�pressed down.• Keep this button pressed until the desired point in

the title has been reached.

Repeat function (REPEAT)With the repeat function you can repeatedly play-back indivdual titles of a CD or all of them.• To repeat individual titles, press the button REPEAT.In the display REPEAT1 is shown.

• To repeat all the titles on a CD press the buttonREPEAT twice.

In the display REPEAT ALL will appear.• To end the repeats, press the button REPEAT conti-

nuously until the indicator REPEAT1/REPEAT ALLextinguishes.

Playing titles in random order (RAND)• On the remote control press the button RAND. In

the display the indicator RANDOM appears.Playback of the titles in random order starts im-mediately.

Programme playing orderYou can programme in the playing order inwhich the titles of a CD are played back. For this,64 programme locations are available.This is only possible when the play function hasbeen stopped1. Press the button MEM CLK-ADJ or PROG/MEM.In the display the programme location P--01 is indicated, for the title that is to be played first.2. Select with the button SKIP � or SKIP �. the

desired title for the programme location.3. To save the programming, press the button

MEM CLK-ADJ or PROG/MEM.To programme further titles, repeat the previouslydescribed steps.When all programme positions are occupied, the indicator FULL appears in the display.The programming is saved until you either removethe CD from the CD compartment, press the buttonSTOP or switch the micro system off.

MP3 Operation

MP3MP3 denotes a process and/or format developedby the Fraunhofer Institute for the compressionof audio data.

In the MP3 format, recordings of music are com-pressed to a fraction of their original size, which,on CD-Rs/CD-RWs for example, allows for storage of a considerably greater volume of music than on commercially available audioCDs, on which audio data is stored in the CDAformat.

Playing MP3 titles 1. Place a CD containing MP3 files into the CD

compartment.2. Press the button FUNCTION repeatedly until the

indicator CD appears in the display.The number of albums and the number of titles contained on the CD appears in the display.3. To start playback of the MP3-CD, press the

button PLAY/PAUSE.

Indicate albumsIf the CD contains several MP3 albums, proceed as follows:1. To select an album, press the button ALBUM

PRESET +/-.2. To start playback of the whole album, press

the button PLAY/PAUSE.3. With the button SKIP � or SKIP �select an

individual title.4. Start playback with the button PLAY/PAUSE.

Search functionsIn search mode, you can search for specific titles oralbumson your MP3-CD by their filenames.You can conduct the search using the first letter (A–Z) or with the numbers (0–9). If there is not afile name beginning with "A", the display will in-dicate A 000.1. To start the search mode, on the remote control

press the button FIND ST./MONO once.In the display appears the letter “A” and the numberof titles on the disc beginning with the letter “A”.If there is not a file name beginning with "A", thedisplay will indicate A 000.2. Press the button SKIP �or SKIP �repeatedly

until the desired letter or number is indicated inthe display.

3. To play the title, press the button PLAY/PAUSE.4. If several file names start with the letter "A",

press the button STOP.In the display, the name of the first title beginningwith the letter “A” is indicated.5. Press the button SKIP �.The names of the other files beginning with the letter"A" will be indicated in the display.6. To play the title, press the button PLAY/PAUSE.7. To start album search, double-press the button

FIND ST./MONO.The name of the first album is indicated in the display.If no albums are saved on the CD, only individualMP3 files, “ROOT” is indicated in the display.

pressed down for two seconds. One after the other, the file name (FILE), the title(TITLE), the artiste (ARTIST) and the album(ALBUM) are indicated in the display.3. To recall the total title display, press the button

FIND ST./MONO once again for two seconds.

Programming the MP3 title orderYou can programme the order, in which the titles on an MP3 CD are played back.64 programme locations are available for this purpose.This is only possible when the play function hasbeen stopped1. Cleaning

• Clean the housing only with a slightly moistcloth and a mild detergent. Ensure that moisturecannot permeate into the device during cleaning!

• If necessary, clean the inside of the disc trayexclusively with a clean dry brush (e.g. a lensbrush, obtainable from a photographic dealer).NEVER use moisture to clean the inside of theCD compartment!

Mikroanlage aufstellen oder aufhängenSie können die Mikroanlage waagerecht oder senk-recht aufstellen bzw. die Mikroanlage und die Laut-sprecher an einer Wand montieren.

Hinweis:Achten Sie bei jeder Art des Aufstellens dar-auf, dass sich die Klappe des CD-Fachs nochvollständig öffnen kann.

Waagerechtes Aufstellen1. Stellen Sie die Mikroanlage auf eine ebene,

Senkrechtes Aufstellen1. Wenn Sie die Mikroanlage senkrecht aufstel-

len wollen, stecken Sie je eine der mitgeliefer-ten Konsolen in eines der Schlüssellöcher aufder Rückseite der Mikroanlage und schiebenSie die Konsole bis zum Anschlag auf dieMikroanlage.

Die Mikroanlage kann nun senkrecht aufgestelltwerden.2. Stellen Sie die Lautsprecher den Anschlüssen

entsprechend zur rechten und linken Seite derMikroanlage auf.

WandmontageSie können die Mikroanlage und die Lautsprecheran einer Wand montieren.

Hinweis:Bringen Sie das Gerät und die Lautsprechernur an einer stabilen Wand an.

1. Bohren Sie die Schraublöcher für die Mikroan-lage in einem Abstand von 19 cm nebeneinan-der waagerecht in die Wand.

2. Bohren Sie die Schraublöcher für die Lautspre-cher 35 mm höher als die der Mikroanlageund im Abstand von mindestens 7 cm von derrechten und der linken Seite der Mikroanlagein die Wand.

Hinweis:Damit die Schrauben richtig in den Halterun-gen auf der Rückseite der Mikroanlage/Laut-sprecher greifen können, müssen die Schrau-benköpfe ca. 3 mm aus der Wand ragen.

3. Befestigen Sie die Schrauben, je nach Wand-beschaffenheit, mit Hilfe von Dübeln in derWand.

4. Hängen Sie die Mikroanlage/Lautsprecher mitden Schlüssellöchern an den Schrauben auf.

Batterien in die Fernbedienung einlegenFür die Fernbedienung benötigen Sie zwei Batterien1,5 V Typ Micro AAA/R03 (im Lieferumfang enthalten).1. Öffnen Sie das Batteriefach auf der Rückseite

der Fernbedienung.2. Legen Sie die Batterien unter Beachtung der im

Batteriefach abgebildeten Polarität in das Bat-teriefach ein.

3. Schließen Sie den Batteriefachdeckel wiedersorgfältig, bis der Deckel einrastet.

Umgang mit BatterienAuslaufende Batterien können Beschädigungenam Gerät verursachen.

• Wenn Sie das Gerät längere Zeit nicht be-nutzen, entnehmen Sie die Batterien.

• Tauschen Sie immer alle Batterien gleichzei-tig aus und verwenden Sie Batterien desgleichen Typs.

• Bei ausgelaufenen Batterien ziehen SieSchutzhandschuhe an und reinigen Sie dasBatteriefach mit einem trockenen Tuch.

Kopfhörer anschließenSie können an der Mikroanlage einen Stereo-Kopf-hörer mit 3,5 mm-Klinkenstecker anschließen. DieKopfhörerbuchse befindet sich an der linken Seiteder Mikroanlage. Wenn Sie den Kopfhörer ange-schlossen haben, werden die Lautsprecher abge-schaltet und Sie hören den Ton nur noch über denKopfhörer.• Stecken Sie den Klinkenstecker des Kopfhörers in

die Kopfhörerbuchse.

Achtung: Das Musikhören mit Kopfhörern über ei-nen längeren Zeitraum und mit voller Laut-stärke kann zu Gehörschäden führen!

Klang einstellenMit der Klangeinstellung können Sie die Klangqua-lität der jeweiligen Musikrichtung anpassen. Siekönnen aus folgenden Einstellungen wählen:POP - JAZZ - FLAT - CLASSIC - ROCK• Drücken Sie so oft die Taste EQ, bis im Display die

gewünschte Klangeinstellung angezeigt wird.Wenn Sie während der Wiedergabe die Klangein-stellung anpassen, wird der Klang sofort verändert.In der Einstellung FLAT wird der Klang unverändertausgegeben.

Uhr einstellen

Sie können die Uhrzeit nur im Standby-Betrieb ein-stellen.1. Drücken Sie die Taste MEM CLK-ADJ oder

PROG/MEM. Im Display blinkt die Stundenanzeige.2. Um die Stunden einzustellen, drücken Sie die

Taste SKIP � oder SKIP �.3. Um die Einstellung zu speichern, drücken Sie

die Taste MEM CLK-ADJ oder PROG/MEM. Im Dis-play blinkt die Minutenanzeige.

4. Um die Minuten einzustellen, drücken Sie dieTaste SKIP � oder SKIP �.

5. Drücken Sie die Taste MEM CLK-ADJ oderPROG/MEM. Die Uhrzeit ist nun eingestellt undaktiviert.

Hinweis:Die Einstellung der Uhrzeit bleibt nicht erhalten,wenn das Gerät vom Stromnetz getrennt wirdoder mit dem Netzschalter ausgeschaltet wird.

Weck-Funktion einstellen (Timer)Sie können sich von Ihrer Mikroanlage wecken lassen.Dazu können Sie die gewünschte Weckzeit, dieTonquelle und die Lautstärke einstellen. Die Mikro-anlage schaltet sich dann zur eingestellten Uhrzeitein und aus. Sie können sich vom Radio, vom Klangeiner CD, Speicherkarte oder eines USB-Datenträ-gers wecken lassen.

Um die folgenden Einstellungen vornehmen zukönnen, muss sich das Gerät im Standby-Mo-dus befinden.

Einschaltzeit einstellen5. Drücken Sie die Taste TIMER. Auf dem Display

erscheint ON und es blinkt die Stundenanzei-ge für die Einschaltzeit.

6. Um die Stunden für die Einschaltzeit einzustel-len, drücken Sie die Taste SKIP � oder SKIP �.

7. Um die Einstellung zu speichern, drücken Sieerneut die Taste TIMER. Auf dem Display blinktdie Minutenanzeige für die Einschaltzeit.

8. Um die Minuten einzustellen, drücken Sie dieTaste SKIP � oder SKIP �.

Ausschaltzeit einstellen9. Um die Stunden für die Ausschaltzeit einzuge-

ben, drücken Sie die Taste TIMER. Auf dem Dis-play erscheint OFF und es blinkt die Stunden-anzeige.

10.Um die Stunden einzustellen, drücken Sie dieTaste SKIP � oder SKIP �.

11.Um die Einstellung zu speichern, drücken Sieerneut die Taste TIMER. Auf dem Display blinktdie Minutenanzeige für die Ausschaltzeit.

12.Um die Minuten einzustellen, drücken Sie dieTaste SKIP � oder SKIP �.

Hinweis:Wenn die Ausschaltzeit gleich der Einschaltzeitist, erscheint im nächsten Schritt die AnzeigeERROR.

Einstellungen speichern13.Drücken Sie die Taste TIMER.Auf dem Display erscheint wieder die Uhrzeit.Außerdem zeigt ein Uhrensymbol an, das dieWeckfunktion eingeschaltet ist.• Wenn Sie die Weckfunktion ausschalten möch-

cken Sie die Taste TIMER erneut und führen Siedie oben beschriebenen Schritte zur Einstellungder Weckfunktion aus.

Einschlaf-Funktion aktivieren (SLEEP)Sie können eine Zeit festlegen, nachdem sich dieMikroanlage abschalten soll. Sie können eine Ab-schaltzeit zwischen 10 und 90 Minuten auswählen.1. Schalten Sie die Mikroanlage ein.2. Drücken Sie so oft die Taste SLEEP, bis Sie die

Abschaltzeit eingestellt haben.Auf dem Display wird die Abschaltzeit und SLEEPangezeigt.3. Mit jedem Tastendruck wird die Abschaltzeit

CD-Betrieb

CD einlegen1. Um das CD-Fach zu öffnen, drücken Sie die

Taste OPEN/CLOSE .Die Klappe des CD-Fachs öffnet sich.

Hinweis:Entfernen Sie vor der ersten Verwendung denTransportschutz aus dem CD-Fach!

2. Legen Sie die CD mit der bedruckten Seitenach oben in das CD-Fach.

MP3MP3 bezeichnet ein vom Fraunhofer Institutentwickeltes Verfahren bzw. Format zur Kom-pression von Audiodaten.

Im MP3-Format komprimierte Musikstücke ha-ben nur noch einen Bruchteil ihrer ursprünglichenGröße, wodurch sich z. B. auf CD-Rs/CD-RWsweitaus mehr Musik speichern lässt als auf han-delsüblichen Audio-CDs, auf denen Audiodatenim CDA-Format gespeichert werden.

MP3-Titel wiedergeben1. Legen Sie eine CD, die MP3-Dateien enthält, in

das CD-Fach ein.2. Drücken Sie mehrmals die Taste FUNCTION, bis

die Betriebsart CD im Display erscheint.Im Display wird die Anzahl der enthaltenen Albenund die Titelanzahl angezeigt.3. Um die Wiedergabe der MP3-CD zu starten,

Reinigung

• Säubern Sie das Innere des Disk-Fachs – fallsnötig – ausschließlich mit einem sauberen tro-ckenen Pinsel (z. B. Objektiv-Pinsel, erhältlichim Foto-Fachhandel). Säubern Sie das Inneredes Disk-Fachs niemals feucht!
