2014-15 SHARKS TEAM NOTES:FEEL THE POWER…The Sharks currently rank 4th in the League in power play efficiency (26.5%) and have recorded at least onepower-play tally in 11 of the team’s 15 games this season. San Jose has 6 players that have scored at least once this season with theman advantage. TURNING THE TIDE…After being outshot by their opponents in each of their first five games of the season (outshot 180-134), theSharks have outshot their opponents in eight of the last ten contests (346-297). San Jose fired 51 shots on goal on Oct. 28 at Colorado,the 15th time in franchise history that the Sharks recorded 50-plus shots in a game. 14 of those 15 instances have come under HeadCoach Todd McLellan. Joe Pavelski fired 10 shots on goal in the Oct. 28 game vs. Colorado, marking the first time in franchise historythat the Sharks have had players record 10 or more shots on goal in back-to-back games. According to the Elias Sports Bureau,Tommy Wingels and Pavelski are the first teammates to fire 10-plus shots on goal in back-to-back games since Pittsburgh’s JamesNeal (3/20) and Evgeni Malkin (3/22) during the 2011-12 season. Wingels fired 10 shots on goal on Oct. 26 atAnaheim, the seventh time in Sharks history that a player has taken 10 or more shots on goal, and the highest shot total by a Sharksplayer on the road in franchise history.
