Trabajadora Social

Saludos padres, madres y estudiantes.

marcha “Go for the Kids” de la Go Gogo Pediatric Cancer Foundation.

“Nuestra labor sería intrascendente si no

ayudara a humanizar nuestra sociedad

y reorientara sus valores”.

Mrs. Detrés

Pre-Kinder

Greetings to Parents,

I am happy to say that our Preschoolers are progressing and learning quickly. They are trying to

speak English in the classroom. We are practicing our fine motor skills by tracing, coloring and

even cutting every day. They are getting better at it. They are also getting used to the routine.

This helps them with structure and also with patience.

In MATH: They will be introduced to the number 3. By practicing it they will learn to

recognize it, count items, and write it. They will still be practicing numbers 1 and 2.

In SPANISH: Unidad 2 "La Familia".

existen.

In ENGLISH: We are still working with our Five Senses: Sight, Hearing, Smell, Taste

and Touch

In SCIENCE: We are inspecting different sizes, shapes and color of rocks with our

magnifying glasses.

Have a nice week!!!

Comments:

Bonjour Parents:

The students are really motivated with learning a third language. It is my upmost

recommendation that you listen to them as they practice.

Also, it is highly recommended that they have a dictionary of French-English so they

can look up for words on their own time and seek self-improvement.

The test is coming soon, the review will be given by me but it is critical of learning a

new language that they take 15-30 minutes a day to practice.

Mr. Gerardo Echevarría Martínez

Computer/Technology Teacher

Shalom to the whole Washburn Community: Parents, Colleagues and Students

It is with great joy that I Gerardo Echevarría Martínez start this new journey in life where I am

privileged to be the computer teacher for your precious gems. As the computers professor I

envision pedagogy of growth and integration. For this reason, a core strategy for this class will

be the integration with Science, Mathematics, English, Social Studies, and many others areas of

interest. In accordance with this one, the main goals is to achieve computer proficiency. We are

no longer an industrial society but information and communications one. Based and thanks to

this shift in the established paradigm, the teaching of the necessary skills and concepts needed to

be a successful citizen of the XXI century have evolved. Now we not only need to have the

capacity to speak diverse languages we also have the urgency to be efficient users of the

emerging technologies. For these and other arguments, this course will be a great experience.

12th, 11th and 10th grade have the assignment to research the computers skills needed to be

proficient in their selected field of study.
