What is Capstone Experience, Inc?

Capstone Experience, Inc. is an organization that

will show that when families and communities connect the result will benefit the youth. The

goal of the organization is to give opportunities for parental involvement with the component of

community integration.

Capstone Experience, Inc will focus primarily on those in grades 6th through 12th grade, and their families. Therefore, continuing the collaboration

of community action within the urban community through

service- learning projects.

Mission of Capstone Experience,

Inc

A program that inspires students and their families to follow their educational dreams, to raise their personal expectations, and to provide critical support when needed, while focusing on academic and cultural enrichment, mentoring, parental involvement, development of "life-skills," internships and community service.

in grades 6-12 and their families.

Programs

Crowning Parents

Demands on parents today are overwhelming. Maintaining a stable home, staying financially afloat, and continuing to be involved with our children education are major when we have the worries of the world on our shoulders. Within Crowning Parents, you will learn the necessary tools to deal with the inevitable issues that life throws at you.

Capstone Living As an adult it is difficult to maintain

housing, and our youth are growing up being unprepared to handle the demands of “being grown”. Budgeting, Housing Options, and learning Independent Living Skills are essential in the “transitions” from youth to adulthood. Capstone Experience, Inc will offer fun and exciting workshops to assist with this evolution of life.

Retreats

The true "Capstone Experience" is exploring the world through retreats. Since life brings its own issues, getting away to escape from those issues may not be realistic. However, Capstone Experience, Inc retreats are designed to rejuvenate participants so they can better handle life's challenges. Vacations such as Wisconsin Dells, Six Flags, Disney or a weekend camping trip may not fit into the family schedule or budget.

Family Engagement Workshops and Support Groups

Capstone Experience emphasizes on the

interactions of networking, support and family engagement to "support" the foundation of parenting throughout our program. With annual networking opportunities, with the support of daycare, it is easier for our families to engage in more fulfilling opportunities.

 

Capstone Connections

Working two jobs just to make the ends meet, so who has the money or time to continue the involvement necessary for our teens? We always will notice the negative but if the schools, communities and families work together as partners the effects will positively easier on all of us. Within Capstone Connections, it gives families an opportunity to connect with the community at annual family nights full of fun, educational interactions that will build the family foundational structure.

Vision Builders

Capstone Experience, Inc has a mentor program like no other. Vision Builders is a program that reaches heights beyond measures. “Have you ever had the desire to follow your dream, but lacked the know-how?” Vision Builders provides personalize step by step module to reach those “attainable” dreams and in the process give you the opportunities to be matched with someone within that field or occupation. Any dream is attainable if you only believe and have the necessary support and that is what we will give at Capstone Experience, Inc

La Tracey Copeland, CEO & Founder

Life’s experiences have not only been a learning experience for La Tracey, but also step stones to her destiny.  Living life by the African proverb, “It takes a village to raise a child”, she is a product of the village of Minneapolis.  Capstone means a “crowning achievement”, and La Tracey has  “experienced” many capstones using the tools bestowed upon her throughout her years from the village that contributed to her growth. With two beautiful daughters. La Tracey is instilling those same values in them.  From that we have be blessed with the vision of Capstone Experience, Inc.
