RULE 2: •Words ending in s, ss, ch, x, z add -es and add a

syllabus in pronunciation. •Examples:watch - watches, peach – peaches, grass - grasses,

glass – glasses, flash, flashes, box-boxes

RULE 3: •Words ending in y, change y for i and add -es •Examples: candy - candies, jelly – jellies, secretary-

secretaries, baby-babies.

RULE 4: •Words ending in 0, add -es •Examples: potato-potatoes, tomato-tomatoes,
