My brothers and sisters in Christ, I am pleased to share with you that our new parochial vicar will be Fr. Nestor Lopez, IIC. As you know, Fr. Anthony Nyamai will be beginning his new assign-ment in Crest Hill, IL on July 1, 2021. We will have an opportunity to have a farewell party for Fr. Antho-ny on his last Sunday here, June 27. June 27 is also the second anniversary of the Dedication of our new Church, so we have a lot to celebrate. Fr. Nestor is a member of the religious community of the Sons of the Mother of God, which is the male branch of the same community from which our sisters are. Fr. Nestor will be coming from his current as-signment, which is in Colombia. He has appoint-ments at the embassy in Colombia on July 27 and 28 and expects to arrive shortly after that. Let us pray that everything goes smoothly in Fr. Nestor’s travels so that we can meet him and get to know him in his priestly ministry at St. Mary’s Parish. Finally, this weekend we celebrate the Feast of Cor-pus Christi. Let us take some time to renew our ap-preciation of this great Sacrament that our Lord Jesus has given to us to extend His real presence with us until the end of time. May we love Him and adore Him with our whole heart.

Anthony Nyamai estará empezando su nueva asigna-ción en Crest Hill, Il, a partir del 1o. De Julio, 2021. Tendremos una oportunidad de despedir al Padre Ant-hony el día domingo 27 de junio. Ese día, 27 de junio es el segundo aniversario de la Dedicación de nuestra nueva Iglesia, así que tendremos mucho que celebrar. El Padre Néstor es un miembro de la comunidad reli-giosa de los Hijos de la Madre de Dios, la cual es la rama varonil de la misma comunidad de nuestras her-manas, Hijas de la madre de Dios. El Padre Néstor, estará llegando de su actual asignación, la cual es en Colombia. El tiene que cumplir con algunas citas en la embajada de los Estados Unidos en Colombia el 27 y 28 de julio y se espera que llegue inmediatamente después de ellas. Oremos para que todo se desarrolle como se espera en el viaje del Padre Néstor y así po-damos recibirlo y conocerlo en su ministerio sacerdo-tal en la Parroquia Santa Maria. Finalmente, este fin de semana celebraremos la Fiesta de Corpus Christi. Tomemos tiempo para renovar nuestro agradecimiento a este gran Sacramento de nuestro Señor Jesucristo que nos ha dado para exten-der Su real presencia con nosotros hasta el fin de los tiempos.
