• Girando la llave de encendido ala posición "ON", el sistema secomporta del siguiente modo:

- activa simultáneamente todos los testi-gos (lamp check);

- pone a cero la posición de las agujas,que después realizan una carrera hastael fondo de escala y regresan nuevamen-te a cero;

- activa durante un segundo todos lossegmentos de ambas pantallas;

- apaga todos los testigos (menos los queestán activados) y las pantallas vuelvena la visualización normal.

Las programaciones estándar que se vi-sualizan en la pantalla son:

- odómetro Total (Pantalla LCD izquier-da) (1);

• By turning the ignition key to"ON", the system works as fol-lows:

- it turns on all the warning lights at thesame time (lamp check);

- it resets the position of all the needles,which afterwards go to the bottom of thescale and return to zero;

- it activates all the segments of both dis-plays for one second;

- it turns off all the warning lights (exceptthe active ones) and the displays go backto standard view.

Si es necesario se puede regular el juegode la palanca de mando del freno:

• Aflojar la contratuerca (1).• Desenroscar la varilla de mando

de la bomba (2) para garantizarun juego mínimo de 0,5 - 1 mm(0,019 - 0,039 in) entre la mismay el pistón de la bomba.

ATENCIÓN

The brake pedal is set to the correct er-gonomic position during assembly of thevehicle.

If necessary, the brake lever clearancecan be adjusted:

(2) to allow a minimum clear-ance of 0.5 - 1 mm (0.019 -0.039 in) between the rod andthe pump piston.

En caso de desmontaje, lubricar y prestaratención a no dañar los anillos de estan-queidad.

Catalytic silencer

The vehicle has a silencer with a "plati-num - palladium - rhodium three-way"metal catalytic converter.

This device oxidises the CO (carbonmonoxide) producing carbon dioxide,and the UHC (unburned hydrocarbons)producing water vapour and reducesNOX (nitrogen oxide) producing oxygenand nitrogen present in the exhaustfumes.

EL PROCEDIMIENTO CORRECTOPREVÉ EFECTUAR EL CONTROLDESPUÉS DE UN VIAJE O DESPUÉSDE HABER RECORRIDO APROXIMA-DAMENTE 15 Km (10 mi) FUERA DELA CIUDAD (SUFICIENTES PARAELEVAR LA TEMPERATURA DELACEITE DEL MOTOR).

CAUTION

DO NOT IDLE THE ENGINE WITH THEVEHICLE AT A STANDSTILL TOWARM THE ENGINE AND BRING THEOIL TO OPERATING TEMPERATURE.

PREFERABLY CHECK THE OIL AF-TER A JOURNEY OF AFTER TRAVEL-LING APPROXIMATELY 15 Km (10miles) IN EXTRAURBAN CONDITIONS(ENOUGH TO WARM UP THE ENGINEOIL TO OPERATING TEMPERATURE).

• Extraer la batería.• Lavar y secar el vehículo.• Pasar cera sobre las superficies

Luego enjuagar con abundanteagua y secar con un paño suave. Paralimpiar las partes exteriores del motor,utilizar detergentes desengrasantes, pin-celes y trapos. Las partes de aluminioanodizado o pintado como horquillas,llantas, chasis, estribos, etc. se deben la-var con jabón neutro y agua. El uso dedetergentes demasiado agresivos puedearruinar el tratamiento de la superficie deestos componentes.

Tabla manutenciónprogramada

Un mantenimiento adecuado constituyeun factor determinante para una mayorduración del vehículo en condiciones óp-timas de funcionamiento y rendimiento.

A tal fin Moto Guzzi dispuso una serie decontroles y de intervenciones de mante-nimiento a pagar, que se detallan en elcuadro sinóptico que se muestra en lapágina siguiente. Es recomendable queeventuales pequeñas anomalías de fun-cionamiento se informen inmediatamen-te al CONCESIONARIO o RevendedorAutorizado Moto Guzzi, sin esperar al si-guiente control periódico para remediar-lo.

Es indispensable realizar los controlesperiódicos en los intervalos de kilómetrosy tiempos prescritos, apenas se alcanzael kilometraje previsto. Los controles pe-riódicos de mantenimiento se debenefectuar puntualmente para la correctautilización de la garantía. Por cualquierotra información relacionada con la mo-dalidad de aplicación de la Garantía y laejecución del "Mantenimiento programa-do", remitirse al "Manual de Garantía".

Scheduled maintenance table

Adequate maintenance is fundamental toensure long-lasting, optimum operationand performance of your vehicle.

For this purpose, Moto Guzzi has formu-lated a series of checks and scheduledservices (at the owner's expense), aresummarised in the table given in the fol-lowing page. We recommend having anyminor faults resolved immediately by anAuthorised Moto Guzzi Dealer, withoutwaiting until the next scheduled serviceinterval.

All scheduled services must be carriedout at the specified intervals and mileage,as soon as the predetermined mileage isreached. Carrying out scheduled serv-ices on time is essential for the validity ofyour warranty. For further information re-garding Warranty procedures and''Scheduled Maintenance'', please referto the ''Warranty Booklet''.
