Amelie és un grup de pop català, que neix a l’agost del 2009 a

Barcelona. Durant els primers mesos van treure el seu primer tema,

Somiant Despert, que tingué una bona rebuda a les xarxes social.

Amelie guanyar el concurs que organitzà la promotora Under

Eighteen per a obrir el primer concert a Barcelona dels americans

All Time Low. Un any i mig després de que el grup comences, i

haver signat un contracte amb la discogràfica Música Global, al

2011 Amelie treu al mercat el seu primer àlbum Somiant Desperts.

Aquest disc els va permetre guanyar diversos premis de música per

votació popular, com els premis Enderrock al millor grup revelació i

millor web, i el Premi Disc Català de l'Any, de Ràdio 4.

The Wanted és un grup anglès i irlandès originat a Londres, Anglaterra. Aquest grup està

composta per 5 membres: Max George, Siva Kaneswaran, Jay McGuiness, Tom Parker i

Nathan Sykes. El single amb què va debutar aquest grup va ser "All Time Low". Aquest va ser

publicat el juliol de 2010. Durant una setmana,aquesta cançó es va posicionar en tot el Regne

Unit com a numero 1 [1] Temps després -el 25 d'octubre de 2010- publicaren el seu primer

disctitulat The Wanted i que va ocupar la quarta posició durant un temps limitat en el Regne

Unit. El primer single del segon disc, "Gold Forever" va ser publicat amb ajuda de "Comic

Relief" i va aconseguir la tercera posició en la llista de singles del Regne Unit. El segon single

de la banda Glad your Came va ser un éxit ja que va encapçalar la llista de singles en primera

posició durant dues setmanes seguides, i a Irlanda el doble, va ser el número 1 durant quatre

setmanes seguides. El segon àlbum del grup va sortir el 7 de novembre de 2011. Aquest grup

va participar en la versió americana de Factor X.

One Direction és una banda musical masculina britànica i irlandesa formada per cinc

cantants: Zayn Malik, Harry Styles, Niall Horan, Liam Payne i Louis Tomlinson. La

banda es va formar aLondres al programa de televisió The X Factor l'any 2010. En un

principi es van presentar al programa per separat, però Simon Cowell va tenir la idea

de crear un grup amb tots cinc, i la banda va signar un contracte amb l'empresa

discografica Syco Records del mateix Cowell després d'acabar en tercera posició a la

setena edició del concurs The X Factor el 2010. La decisió de posar els cinc nois en un

grup els va fer molt populars i van ser l'única banda que es va incloure en el X-Factor

Tour 2011. Posteriorment, la banda va signar un contracte amb la

discogràfica Columbia Records (Estats Units), i els seus discos Up All Night (2011)

i Take Me Home (2012) van batre diversos rècords de vendes, van ocupar les

primeres posicions de nombroses llistes d'èxits 'arreu del món i van generar

diversos singles d'èxit, entre els que destaquen «What Makes You Beautiful» i «Live

While We're Young».

L'èxit internacional fou propiciat pel poder de les xarxes socials, i la banda sovint és

descrita com un ressorgiment del concepte de boy band, formant part d'una nova

invasió de música britànica als Estats Units. Entre els premis que se'ls han concedit

destaca un premi BRIT i tres premisMTV. A data de novembre de 2012, la banda havia

venut més de 15 milions de discos arreu del món, i segons Nick Gatfield, el president i

cap executiu de Sony Music Entertainment al Regne Unit, One Direction va suposar un

negoci de 50 milions de dòlars el juny del mateix any. La revistaBillboard els va

nomenar millors artistes novells de l'any 2012, mentre que el Huffington Post va

afirmar que el 2012 era l'any de One Direction.
