MEALS FOR THE PRIESTS Once or twice a week over the past months, some of the Ladies of Holy Cross have pre-pared meals for Fr. Joseph and Fr. Raphael our Parish Priests. This started as a way of thanking our two priests for their availability and service to Holy Cross Parish. This gesture lets them know how much they are appreci-ated. We now want to put out the word and invite anyone in the parish (man or woman) to participate in this program by signing up to prepare a meal for the Fathers. Perhaps you have a favorite recipe or menu you would like to prepare for them. Know that your entrée will be most appreciated. Both Fathers say they like to eat, but are not very good cooks! We continue to make progress towards our initial milestone of $2,500,000 needed to start

construction. We are truly blessed to have parishioners who are willing to make huge sacri-

fices to support this critical project. We thank immensely for their generosity and their

prayers to those who have pledged. We still have a long way to go to reach our goal of $5,000,000. Unfortunately, this is not some-

thing the steadfast few can accomplish alone. We need everyone in the parish to step up and

pledge; if this dream is to become a reality. Many of you contribute to the success of the

parish in various ways and it is greatly appreciated. The time is now to go beyond your cu-

rent level of support and make a financial investment in the future of this parish. There are over 2000 families registered at Holy Cross, and up to today, we have pledges and

cash of $1,864,974, or 75% of the amount needed to start the construction process, with 193

families participating ! If you have not pledged, please find it in your heart to complete the

pledge form located in the pews and place it in the box in the back of the church or go to

On Friday November 11, 2016, Holy Cross will host a parish dance at the Cascades Meeting center here in The Colony. This is a fun evening designed to celebrate the hard work our parishioners have been doing all year long. Come out and have an enjoy-able evening with your fellow parishioners. We will be serving snacks, coffee and tea. Also, for those interested, there will be a cash bar. Festivities start at 7 pm and conclude at 11 pm. We have a limited number of tickets so please purchase your early. Tickets are $30 per person. Tickets will be on sale after each mass starting this weekend. You must show flyer or tell them BEFORE check out that you support the Holy Cross Fundraising Challenge: If our sales hit $3,000 from our supporters Blaze will donate 25% back to Holy Cross. That would be a dona-tion of $750. If we do not reach our goal we will still earn 20% of sales from supporters. In-vite your friends to join us at Blaze and share a flyer with them. On Sunday, November 13th, Holy Cross will be hosting a blood drive from 8:30 am to

3:00 pm. Donations will be accepted in the Carter Blood Drive Bus parked in our park-ing lot. Please be sure to bring a photo

ID. Appointments are not necessary but they do allow you to set a time for your do-nation. Appointments can be made by go-
