Next Saturday, November 1 is the Feast of All Saints. Although it is usually a holyday of obligation, this year it is not, since it falls on a Saturday. However, we will offer 2 Masses for those who would like to come and remember the saints in heaven and ask them to intercede for us who remain on the journey. Mass in English will be celebrated in the chapel at 8:30 and Mass in the chapel in Spanish at 10:00.
After that, things get a little complicated. Sunday, November 2 is the Commemoration of All the Faithful Departed, commonly called All Souls Day. However, we know that each Saturday Vigil Mass at 5:00 pm begins the Sunday’s theme, and in this case, on Saturday November 1, we will celebrate All Souls Day during the 5:00 Mass. Every All Souls Day we choose one Mass to be the specific remembrance of all the parishioners who have died since last All Souls Day. We invite their families and friends to attend, and during the Prayers of the Faithful we toll the bell when the name of each of the deceased is said. Since we always celebrate that Mass bilingually in English and in Spanish, and we will do so next Saturday. A reception will follow Mass for the families and friends of the deceased. On Sunday, all Masses will be for All Souls Day although we will not mention the name of each deceased parishioner.
Next weekend is also the end of Daylight Savings Time. Don’t forget to “fall back” which means to set your clock back 1 hour Saturday night and rejoice since you get an extra hour of sleep!
Fr. Zach will be on vacation this week Monday through Friday.

El siguiente sábado 1o de noviembre es la Fiesta de Todos los Santos. Aunque por lo general es una fiesta de obligación, este año no lo es, ya que cae en sábado. Sin embargo, vamos a ofrecer 2 Misas para aquellos a quienes les gustaría venir y recordar a los santos en el cielo y pedirles que intercedan por nosotros que se quedan en el camino. La Misa en inglés se celebrará en la capilla a las 8:30 a.m. y la Misa en la capilla en español a las 10:00 am. Después de eso, las cosas se complican un poco. El domingo 2 de noviembre es la Conmemoración de To-dos los Fieles Difuntos, comúnmente llamado Día de los Muertos. Sin embargo, sabemos que cada Misa de Vigilia del Sábado a las 5:00 pm comienza el tema, es decir, la celebración del domingo, y en este caso, el sábado 1o de noviembre, vamos a celebrar Día de los Difuntos en la Misa de las 5:00 pm. Cada Día de los Difuntos elegimos una Misa para recordar específicamente a todos los feli-greses que han muerto desde el pasado Día de los Difun-tos. Invitamos a sus familias y amigos para que puedan estar presentes, y durante la Oración de los Fieles repicamos la campana cuando se dice el nombre de cada uno de los fallecidos. Desde siempre celebramos esa Misa bilingüe en inglés y en español, y la celebraremos el próxi-mo sábado. Habrá una recepción después de la Misa para las familias y amigos de los fallecidos en el Centro Par-roquial. El domingo, todas las Misas serán dedicadas por el Día de los Difuntos, aunque no vamos a mencionar el nom-bre de cada feligrés fallecido. El próximo fin de semana también termina el hora-rio de verano. No olviden "retrasar", es decir, poner su re-loj de nuevo 1 hora atrás la noche del sábado y alegrarse que ¡ya que tienen una hora más de sueño! El P. Zach estará de vacaciones esta semana de lunes a viernes. No se les olvide votar en las elecciones el 4 de noviembre. Antes de votar porfavor lean los principios de la justicia y el bien público. Formación de Fe (Catecismo) 2014-2015 en español
El Taller de Reconciliación obligatorio para padres de fami-lia y los niños que recibirán su Primera Comunión en el mes de mayo del 2015 será el sábado 1 de noviembre de 10 am a 12 pm. Para ambas sesiones del viernes y sábado. Los demás grupos de Formación de Fe no tendrán clases esos días, es decir el viernes 31 y el sábado 1 de noviembre.

Retiro para alumnos de Confirmación
