Sergey Tetyukhin is one of the best volleyball players in Russia. He can be called a peculiar rod of the Russian team.

Sergey is a universal volleyball player. He plays equally strongly in all elements of the game. But he is my hero not because of his exceptional success on the volleyball court.

He is my hero because of his fortitude, his desire to win, his ability to be part of the team.

He embodies the confidence, calmness, professionalism and he can transmit these features to other players.

Sergey was in a car accident in the middle of October 2000 in Italy. He was seriously injured, but he returned to sport after a year of rehabilitation.

He was called the best player of the tournament at the 2002 World Cup.

With the help of his fighting spirit he made a great contribution to the victory of the Russian team at the Olympic Games 2012 in London.

I have been playing volleyball for three years already. And if one day I didn’t see the volleyball match in which Sergey Tetyukhin took part, now I wouldn’t be the captain of the volleyball team. I love volleyball because of this great man.
