Chipotle-Linked E. Coli Outbreak Case Count Now At 45
By News Desk | November 19, 2015�e latest update from the U.S. Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) shows that, as of Nov. 18, 2015, 838 people from 38 states have reportedly been infected with the outbreak strains of Salmonella Poona linked to cucumbers imported from Mexico. �at is an increase of 71 cases since the last update on Oct. 14, CDC stated. Of the total, 165 people have been hospitalized and four deaths have been reported (one each from Arizona, California, Oklahoma and Texas
According to the latest update posted Friday, Nov. 20, from the U.S. Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC), there are now 45 people sickened in the E. coli outbreak linked to Chipotle Mexican Grill outlets in Washington and Oregon. �at is an increase from 37 cases reported on Wed-nesday, Nov. 18.Forty-�ve people infected with the outbreak strain of STEC O26 have been reported from six states. �e majority of ill-nesses have been reported from Washington and Oregon.

Gluten-Free Cheese Ravioli Recalled for Potential Salmonella Contamination
19 E. Coli Cases in 7 States Linked to Costco Rotisserie Chicken Salad
By News Desk | November 11, 2015Conte’s Pasta Co. Inc. of Vineland, NJ, has recalled its Gluten Free Cheese Ravioli due to potential Salmonella contamination. No reports illnesses related to the product have been received to date.�e following product is included in this recall:• Conte’s Gluten Free Cheese Ravioli, 12 oz., UPC 73415894009 with a use-by date of 020317
�e U.S. Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) announced as of Nov. 23, there were 19 people from seven states sickened by the outbreak strain of Shiga toxin- producing E. coli O157:H7 linked to consumption of Costco chicken salad made with rotisserie chicken.
Five people have been hospitalized and two developed hemolytic uremic syndrome (HUS), a serious kidney problem associated with Costco chicken salad labelE. coli infections. No deaths have been reported, according to CDC.
�e epidemiologic evidence available at this time suggests that rotisserie chicken salad made and sold in Costco Wholesale stores in several states is a likely source of this outbreak, CDC stated.14 (88 percent) of 16 people purchased or ate rotisserie chicken salad from Costco in the week before illness started.�e ongoing investigation has not identi�ed what speci�c ingredient in the chicken salad is linked to illness.
