This assembly is designed to provide visual protection only.Please read the complete instruction sheet before proceeding

This Welding Shield Assembly will t the SuperLite 17A/B,C,K Su-

perLite 27B, the KMB-18A/B, and the KMB-28B. The SuperLite

and KMB port retainers are supplied with two plug screws which are

designed to protect the two threaded holes on the port retainer which

are provided for mounting the welding shield assembly.

BCAUTIONThe Weld Shield Mount Screw (6) is to only beused when the Weld Shield is mounted to the port

retainer. Use o this screw without the Weld Shieldwill result in damage to the fberglass port area.The plug screws should be replaced when theWeld Shield is not mounted to the port retainer.

INSTALLATION INSTRUCTIONS

1. Remove the two plug screws from the port retainer.

2. Insert the mount screws (6) through the spacer washers (7) and then

through the mount ears (10,11).

3. With the shield facing out of the helmet or mask, install and tighten

the two mount screws (6) into the port retainer.

KMDSI has introduced a new weld lens frame which now has the Kirby Morgan name on the

front. These frames require a new, smaller bumper (11), part number 510-577. The older

larger style bumper, part number 510-576 ts in the weld lens frames without the Kirby

Morgan name. The frame (9) part numbers did not change

Caution - WarningThe Weld Lens Mount Screw (5) is to only be used when the Weld Lens is mounted to the port retainer. Use of this

This Welding Lens Assembly will t the SuperLite 17A/B, SuperLite 27B, the KMB-18A/B, and the KMB-28B. The SuperLite a

KMB port retainers are supplied with two plug screws which are designed to protect the two threaded holes on the port retainer which a

provided for mounting the welding lens assembly.

INSTALLATION INSTRUCTIONS

1. Remove the two plug screws from the port retainer.

2. Insert the mount screws (5) through the spacer washers (6) and then through the mount ears (4).

3. With the rubber bumpers (11) facing the inside of the helmet or mask, install and tighten the two mount screws (5) into the port retainer.

4. Tighten the two locknuts (1) on the ends of the hinge studs (8) so that the Welding Lens Assembly can be ipped up, but will not fall

down from its own weight.
