General Objective

Pupils should be able to sing the song and able to follow instructions.

Specific Objectives

By the end of the lesson, pupils should be able to :i. able to enjoy singing the song with actions;ii. able to sequence the lyrics with correct order;iii. able to produce creative works.

Teacher enters the class with bananas

in the basket. The teacher asks the pupils what is in

the basket. The teacher asks whether they are

familiar with the banana and have they eaten it before.

SET INDUCTION

Teacher pastes the lyrics on the board. The teacher sings the song with the

movements. Teacher teaches and asks them to read

the lyrics. Pupils sing the songs with the

movements.

PRESENTATION

Teacher explains each of the focused

word with movements, pictures and word cards.

Pupils then will show the movement according to the word cards showed by the teacher.

Pupils sing the song with the movement again.

Teacher gives instructions to the pupils

that they need to sequence the lyrics and paste it on the paper given in 3 minutes.

Teacher distributes the materials and the pupils start the games.

The five fastest pupils that come out with the correct answer get a special prize.

The others with the correct answer get prizes too.

Teacher asks them what they can do

with the banana and shows them some of the examples using flashcards.

 The teacher will tell them that they are going to make a banana split.

 Teacher gives each of them a banana and a polystyrene plate.

PRODUCTION

Teacher asks the pupils to peel and put

the banana on the plate, then cut it into two using plastic knife (with guidance).

They scoop the ice-cream and put on the plate.

Weaknesses There is no LCD

projector in the classroom-to display the lyrics

Some of them do not involve and concentrate during the lesson

Make them join the activity and concentrate on the lesson by calling out their names-make them focus

Guide them to use it, and immediately collect it after using it. The ice-cream is kept in fridge at the canteen
