As the Commissioner for District 12, I’m pleased to announce some great news benefiting commuters and residents of the West Dade area, Sweetwater, Doral and surrounding areas. Coming this fall, the Dolphin Station Park and Ride Transit Terminal Facility located at 11897 NW 12th Street, will accommodate a new Bus Rapid Transit along the Dolphin Expressway connecting to Downtown, along with several other local bus routes, and the potential for growth to include rail. La Estacion de Transito “Dolphin” situada en 11897 NW 12 Street servirá como un centro de servicio de autobuses rápido a lo largo del 836/Dolphin Expressway hasta el Downtown de Miami incluyendo otras rutas, y tiene el potencial para construir rieles en un futuro. The Dolphin Station will accommodate approximately 906 parking spaces, including motorcycle and bicycle parking, with provisions for, but not limited to, the following:

> Bus bays and layover bays

> A driver’s break lounge

> An air conditioned transit hub building with passenger waiting areas

> Ticket vending machines

> Landscaping, fencing and lighting areas

For the public’s convenience, the facility will also include two pylon signs, wayfinding signs, electric vehicle charging stations, bicycle storage, a surveillance system, a parking management system, a transit information system, and canopy structures.

La Estación Dolphin tendrá aproximadamente 906 espacios de estacionamiento, incluyendo motocicletas y bicicletas, y contara además con:

> Áreas para autobuses y áreas de escala

> Salón de descanso para conductores

> Estación de tránsito con aire acondicionado y áreas de espera para pasajeros

> Máquinas de venta de boletos para transporte

> Áreas verdes, cercadas e iluminadas

Para comodidad del público, la estación también incluirá señales de orientación, estaciones para cargar vehículos eléctricos, almacenamiento de bicicletas, sistema de vigilancia, supervisión del estacionamiento, y un sistema de información de tránsito de autobuses y estructuras tipo toldo.
