Nuestra institución:PROESA es el Organismo Promotor de Exportaciones e Inversiones de El Salvador.Su misión es promover las exportaciones, la inversión y los asocios público-privados a fin de contribuir a la generación de crecimiento económico, así como  a la creación de más y mejores empleos.Entre los servicios prestados por PROESA, en el ámbito de las inversiones, están:• Promover la Inversión Extranjera Directa (IED) en sectores específicos.• Asesorar a potenciales inversionistas en el proceso de evaluación de oportunidades de inversión

en el país.• Apoyar y guiar integralmente a los inversionistas en los trámites de establecimiento y expansión.• Ayudar en la elaboración de agendas específicas para las visitas al país de inversionistas,

requeridas para su toma de decisión.• Brindar información y estadísticas de inversión y nuevas oportunidades de negocios.• Proponer proyectos orientados a mejorar el clima de inversiones en el país.

Los sectores estratégicos para la atracción de IED son Aeronáutica, Agroindustria, Calzado, Electrónica, Energía, Manufactura Liviana, Servicios Empresariales a Distancia, Textiles y Confección, Turismo, y Turismo Médico.

Its main goal is to promote exports, investments and public private partnerships to help boost the economy and create more and better job opportunities.Investment related services provided by PROESA:• Promote Foreign Direct Investment (FDI) in strategic sectors.• Advise potential investors in the country assessment process.• Comprehensive guidance and assistance to investors throughout the evaluation, establishment

INCENTIVOS A LAS INVERSIONES DEL SECTOR ELÉCTRICOPRINCIPALES INCENTIVOS

Se han desarrollado importantes marcos legales para fomen-tarlainversiónenelsectoreléctrico:

LEY INCENTIVOS FISCALES PArA EL FOmENTO dE ENErgíAS rENOVAbLES EN LA gENErACIóN dE ELECTrICIdAd.

1. Exención del impuesto sobre la renta por un período de cinco años para proyectos mayores a los 10 mega-vatios (mW), y por 10 años para menos de 10 mega-vatios (mW).

2. Exención total del pago de impuestos sobre los ingresos provenientes directamente de la venta de las reducciones Certificadas de Emisiones (CErs, en el marco del mecanismo para un desarrollo limpio) o mercados de carbono similares.

LEY dE ESTAbILIdAd JUrídICA PArA LAS INVErSIONES

La Ley consiste en atraer y promover la inversión nacional y extranjera a través de un marco legal que garantice la Segu-ridad Jurídica al Inversionista, mediante la implementación de Contratos de Estabilidad Jurídica.

FISCAL INCENTIVES LAW FOr rENEWAbLE ENErgY

1. duty-Free on importing for equipment destined to electricity generation (during the first 10 years)

2. Exemptions to the income tax for a 5 year period for projects greater than 10 mW, and a 10 year period for projects smaller than 10 mW.

3. Total exemption of the payment for taxes coming di-rectly from the sales of the Certified Emission reduc-tions (CErs, in the framework of the Clean develop-ment mechanism) or similar Carbon markets.

The Law consists of attracting and promoting national and foreign investment through a legal framework that guaran-tees Legal Security to Investors, through the implementa-tion of Legal Stability Contracts.
