THE CONTEXT
“Half of the world's population, around 3.6 billion people, live in cities today. That's expected to increase to 60 percent by 2030“
- Patrick Finn
Today, a large part of urban citizens feel disconnected from
- the history of their neighbourhoods- their neighbours- citizen (non-commercialized) initiatives
By 2030 over 75% of us will live in large metropolitan environments.
So we hope that by 2030 we will be able to face a different urban culture that is more
- inclusive- connected- collective
DIGITAL IMAGEThese are the most common representations of the city we live in, so the results are commercial, data based and profit rather culture oriented.
IDEA
● Use technology to connect people and change the digital image of Montreal
● Get to know and share people’s opinions and personal stories, memories.
We found out that such inputs evoke more emotions and trust than unknown sources provided by companies, or numbers. Interaction with publicly generated data inspires increased interaction as well as integration and engagement.
