Principal’s Message ﺳﻠﻢ ﺻﺤﺒ ءﻋﻠﻰ ﻣﺤﻤﺪﺪﻧﺎ ﻋﻠﻰﺻﻠﻰ 5 ﻟﺤﻤﺪ ﻟﺮﺣ ﻟﺮﺣﻤﻦ ﺑﺴﻢAsSalamu ^Alaikum Wa Rahmatullah Dear parents, students, teachers and volunteers, we have come to the end of the year and it is time to bid you all farewell until we meet again in September. It has been a wonderful school year for the students, filled with a wealth of education about the obligatory religious knowledge. Parents hold your chins high and be very proud of the dedication and hard work these children and make sure to always encourage them to keep up with their Islamic learning for their sake and yours. The children this year enjoyed several events at AnNoor Learning Center including: Adha Eid festival, Bake Sale, 1 st AnNoor Soccer Tournament. They showed a spectacular performance at AnNoor and AICP celebration of the Mawlid birth of Prophet Muhammad . They read poems and chanted in Arabic and in English, while hundreds of audiences watched and cheered joyfully. I would like to take this opportunity to remind you to check the school website at http://annoorlearning.com or at http://facebook.com/annoor.learningcenter for the upcoming school year 20142015 registration, and for our summer events. I wish you all a great summer with your families and remember to always remind your children of our Islamic manners and the importance of following alsunna in everything they do, and should you face any challenges that we can assist you with I urge you to contact me directly or any of our teachers. I look forward to seeing all of you again in September 2014. Dr. Raafat ElHacha, Principal Miracles of Isra' & Mi^raj The miracle of alIsra' is confirmed in alHadith and al Qur'an. Allah said in Surat alIsra', Ayah 1: Which means: [Praise be to Allah Who enabled His slave, Muhammad, to make the Isra’ journey at night from Masjid alHaram in Makkah to Masjid alAqsa in Jerusalem, which is surrounded a blessed land, to show him our great signs.] All scholars agreed that Prophet Muhammad journeyed in body and soul the night of alIsra' from Masjid alHaram in Makkah to Masjid alAqsa in Jerusalem. Angel Jibril came with alBuraq (an animal from Paradise) for our Prophet to ride it. Our Prophet prayed in Tayba, in Toor Sina’, in Bayt Lahem where Jesus was born, and in alAQasa Mosque where he led all the Prophets (Imam) in prayer. Then our Prophet ascended to the seven skies (Mi^raj) on alMirqat. At the first heaven, he saw Prophet Adam, then he saw Prophet Jesus, and Prophet Yahya in the 2 nd heaven. Then he saw Prophet Yusuf in the 3 rd heaven. He met Prophet Idriss in the 4 th heaven. Then he saw Harun in the 5 th heaven. After that he saw Prophet Musa in the 6 th heaven. Then he saw Prophet Ibrahim; Khalilullah in the 7 th heaven. He also saw alBayt alMa^mur with many angels and he saw Sidrat alMuntaha tree, and Paradise where he saw alHoor al^een. He also heard the Kalam of Allah which is not a letter, language or sound. And that’s when the five prayers were ordained. As mentioned in the Ayah, the purpose of this great miracle is to show our Prophet the great signs and wondrous creations of Allah. When our Prophet returned, he described alAqsa mosque in exact detail, even the blasphemers admitted that the description was exact. All of these events happened in one third of a night by the will and power of Allah.ﻜﻢ ﻋﻠﻟﺴﻼ ! ﺑﻜﻢً Welcome back to the 19 th Edition of An-Noor newsletter. Hope to do this again next year” Salihah-ruh Butt “The soccer tournament was really good, and I got to play in two games, and we tied 2-2. I also got to see my cousins play, and they did very well. It was nice to see all the students out. The soccer cup like the FIFA World Cup trophy, it was amazing!. I really enjoyed the tournament, and would like to do it again”

Jasmine El-Hacha “The soccer tournament was spectacular. Even though I didn't play it was so fun to watch (especially when the teachers played). Can’t wait for next years awesome events!” Ayah El-Karaouni “It was a fun day for everyone. The weather was nice and I really enjoyed it. The school year went by fast but looking forward to September.” Ahmad Ghanem “It was an amazing soccer event, I loved it! Can't wait until next year and for the new semester to start!”

Hussein Kahn “We should do more activities as a school together not only soccer but other sports as well. I think everybody had a great time together. We should have more than one class playing at the same time so everybody gets a chance to play more... I certainly had a lot of fun playing, and hope for more activities”
