I. ANTECEDENTES

Se requiere diseñar una cubierta de 29 m x 32 m (1044 m2) para techar el Mercado Municipal de Altepexi, Puebla. Se plantean marcos conformados por armaduras y columnas de acero. Las primeras tienen forma de arco parabólico de sección variable con peraltes de 0.80 m hasta 1.80 m. Las columnas serán hechas con placa .

Las armaduras serán contraventeadas en la cuerda superior y sostendrán una serie

de polines adecuadamente arriostrados a los tercios de su longitud para evitar flexión biaxial. Sobre éstos se colocará la cubierta de lámina engargolable KR-18 rolada en sitio, la cual permitirá que no se tengan filtraciones debido a la curvatura de la estructura.

En sentido perpendicular, las columnas formarán marcos rígidos con vigas tipo IR

y se contraventearán en las crujías inicial y final.

II. MATERIALES Los materiales utilizados en la construcción de la estructura tendrán como mínimo las siguientes características, además de cumplir con las Normas Oficiales Mexicanas vigentesi:

o Capacidad admisible del terreno considerada para proyecto: 15 Tm/m2 (1.5 kg/cm2). No se considera presencia de nivel freático en el estrato de desplante de la cimentación.

o Concreto hecho en obra ó premezclado, f’c=100 kg/cm2, 151,000 ⁄ ,

20  en plantillas.

o Concreto f’c=250 kg/cm2, 238,751 ⁄ , 30  en elementos de concreto. Tamaño máximo de agregado 19 mm, impermeabilizante integral incluido en mezcla. Revenimiento sugerido 12 a 14 cm.

o Acero de refuerzo liso #2, fy=2,800 kg/ cm2, E=2.04x106 kg/cm2, alargamiento a

la ruptura en 10 diámetros, 9%. Cumple con NMX-B-365, ASTM A510

o Acero de refuerzo corrugado No. 3 y mayores (varilla), fy=4,200 kg/cm2. Cumple con NMX-C-407.

o Malla electrosoldada, fy=5,000 kg/ cm2, fu=5,700 kg/ cm2, E=2.04x106 kg/ cm2,

alargamiento a la ruptura en 10 diámetros, 6%, reducción de área transversal, 30%. Cumplirá con NMX-B-253, NMX-B-290, ASTM A496, ASTM A185. Traslape mínimo de 1 ½ cuadros (25 cm).

o Perfiles rolados en frío ASTM-A570ii, NOM B-347, fy=3,520 kg/cm2, fu=4,570

kg/cm2. o Acero estructural ASTM-A36, NMX B-254 (perfiles y placas), fy=2,530 kg/cm2,

fu=4,080 kg/cm2 . o Acero estructural ASTM-A50, NMX B-254 (perfiles y placas), fy=3,500 kg/cm2,

fu=5,600 kg/cm2 . o Electrodos de acero al carbono recubiertos, para soldadura de arco eléctrico,

NMX-H-77 (AWSiii A5.1), E60, fy=4,200 kg/cm2, E70, fy=4,900 kg/cm2 . o Tornillos de alta resistencia ASTM-A325 en conexiones, NOM-H-124, fy=3,500

kg/cm2, fu=8,440 kg/cm2 para diámetros de 13 a 25 mm y fu=7,380 kg/cm2, para diámetros de 29 y 38 mm.

o Espárragos de acero templado y endurecido ASTM-A449, NOM-H-124-1988. o Tuercas de acero de aleación y al carbono ASTM-A536. o Arandelas de acero endurecidas ASTM-F436.

III. ACCIONES SOBRE LA ESTRUCTURA

Las cargas actuantes en la estructura se determinaron acorde a la normativa vigente, Normas Técnicas Complementarias del Reglamento del Distrito Federal, Manuales de Diseño de Obra Civil por Viento y Sismo de la Comisión Federal de Electricidad para determinación y modelación de cargas de viento y sísmicas. III.1. Cargas muertas

Acero estructural 7,850 kg/m3 Concreto densidad normal 2,400 kg/m3 Lámina en cubierta 5 kg/m3 Instalaciones hidrosanitarias y eléctricas 30 kg/m2

III.2. Cargas vivas Se consideran las siguientes cargas vivas en el diseño:

Azotea (techumbre metálica con pendiente >5%) 40 kg/m2 III.3. Cargas de viento

Atendiendo las consideraciones de diseño del Manual de Diseño de Obras Civiles por Viento de la C.F.E., se clasificará el terreno en tipo 2 según su rugosidad, siendo la velocidad regional de diseño para un período de retorno de 10 años hkmV 10310 .

La estructura será permeable, con una dimensión mayor en a 50 m en planta, por

lo que se considera de clase C, el factor de topografía se toma como 0.1TF ; el factor de

exposición ∝ 1.56.

0.97. La velocidad de diseño se calcula, atendiendo a los parámetros anteriores como:    ∝   1.0 0.97 103 99.8 .

La presión dinámica de base, función de VD es 0.0048 0.0048 99.8 47.82 .

Esta presión afectada por el coeficiente de presión neta CPn, el factor de presión local KL y el factor de reducción de área KA originan la presión neta de diseño:       1.5

III.4. Cargas sísmicas

Por sismo, la estructura se clasifica dentro del grupo B, tipo I, con un factor de ductilidad Q=2 en ambos sentidos, ya que las cargas sísmicas son resistidas por columnas de concreto en un marco que puede asumirse dúctil. La construcción se encuentra dentro de la zona sísmica C y en un terreno tipo II, por lo cual para el análisis sísmico se utilizará un coeficiente sísmico c=0.32. El coeficiente c/Q=0.16 para esta estructura.

III.5. Combinaciones de carga

La estructura se revisará bajo el criterio de resistencia última utilizando la normativa, ACI-318 para la revisión de elementos de concreto y AISC-LRFD para el diseño de elementos de acero, revisándose las deflexiones de la estructura bajo condiciones de servicio (criterio elástico).

IV. DISEÑO ESTRUCTURAL IV.1. Lámina y polinería

La selección del calibre de la lámina se hace utilizando la presión de viento de 71.71 kg/m2 y el área tributaria del elemento.

Para una separación de 1.20 m, con al menos tres apoyos, la lámina KR-18 cal. 26 resiste una carga de 308 kg/m2 (4.8 veces la carga viva factorizada), y por ende la presión de viento de 137.7 kg/m2 factorizada y aplicada sobre su ancho tributario.

La separación entre marcos es de 8.00 m, por lo que se propone una polinería de

techo de 203 mm de peralte (polín de 8”), fabricados en el mismo largo que los espacios entre marcos. Se considera un peso del polín (antes de su diseño) de 8 kg/m.

En servicio, los momentos correspondientes a una carga concentrada de 100 kg

en la parte media del claro y la combinación de peso propio y carga viva (40 kg/m2) en los polines de techo con menor inclinación, donde la componente vertical de carga es mayor es:

Por cortante, para transmitir la fuerza de 534 kg, se requieren 2 tornillos de 8 mm (5/16”) ASTM A307-B (SAE-2), ∅ ∅0.6 0.75 0.6 0.50 2530 569 . IV.2. Contraflambeos

Los contraflambeos se colocarán a los tercios de los polines, para evitar el pandeo del elemento en el eje débil. Existen, en cada lado del arco 15 montenes, los cuales tienen inclinación variable entre 0 y 26°. La sumatoria de las componentes horizontales de la carga sobre todos los montenes se convertirá en la fuerza axial sobre los contraflambeos, así: P 1.2 5.67 1.2 30 5 1.6 1.2 71.71 8sen13° 1616 kg.

Se optará por utilizar un tubular OR 25x1.91 mm (1” cal. 14), con peso de 1.46

kg/m. Revisando su capacidad, con r=0.95 cm, L/r=120/0.95=126, ∅F 928 

kgcm y ∅P ∅F A 795 1.70 1,577kg. Seleccionando un OR 32x1.91 mm,

r=1.20 cm, L/r=120/1.20=100, ∅F 1,260 kg

cm y ∅P ∅F A 1,260 2.18 2,746.8 kg. Este perfil se unirá al montén utilizando una sección de ángulo 38x3 mm y dos tornillos SAE-2 de 6 mm, ó cordones de soldadura E60 con longitud mínima de 30 mm/cordón en ambos lados del ángulo de conexión.

IV.3. Contravientos en techo Los contravientos de la estructura soportan una carga axial máxima de 1100 kg y se diseñan como elementos a tensión. Limitando el esfuerzo a tensión a 0.6 0.6

contravientos de 13 mm de diámetro, cuya resistencia máxima a tensión es: ∅ 0.9

La relación entre claro y equidistancia de la armadura hacen que se proponga el utilizar dos pares de contravientos por agua, para no sacrificar su efectividad debido a su longitud. IV.4. Armadura de sección variable Las armaduras a diseñar tienen la geometría mostrada a continuación:

La cuerda superior de la armadura está sujeta a una fuerza axial compresiva máxima de 38.9 Tm y a una fuerza de tensión de 12.3 Tm. La longitud entre nodos de la cuerda es de 1.20 m (máximo). Se propone, para este diseño, una cuerda superior formada por dos perfiles OR. Revisando 2 OR76x3.2 mm, cuyo radio mínimo de giro es de 2.96 cm. Con este dato, se calcula su relación de esbeltez

corresponde un esfuerzo máximo a compresión ∅ 1,960  .

Así, el área mínima requerida en el elemento es ,

mm tiene 9.01 cm2 (0.90 veces la requerida). Revisando el mismo perfil pero con mayor espesor, OR76x4.8 mm, A= 13 cm2, r=2.90 cm,

Los esfuerzos del perfil serían del orden del 77% de su capacidad última, estando en un rango aceptable. Las capacidad de la cuerda a tensión es: ∅ ∅ 2 0.9 2,530 13 59,202  . El elemento estará utilizado al 20% en tensión. De manera análoga al diseño de la cuerda superior, los elementos de la cuerda inferior deben resistir una fuerza compresiva última de 9.6 Tm y una fuerza de tensión de de 31.1 Tm. 41,031  para integrar este elemento. Los postes y diagonales críticas son propensos a pandeo por su mayor longitud. En el caso crítico, la longitud del elemento (diagonal) es de 1.70 m y debe resistir una fuerza compresiva máxima de 8.67 Tm y una tensión de 8.68 Tm (gobernará pandeo por compresión debido a lo similar de las fuerzas). Para el prediseño se propuso un OR 64x3.2 mm (2 1/2” x 0.125”), A=7.40 cm2, r=2.44 cm. La relación de esbeltez para el elemento crítico –con mayor longitud efectiva- es  170

La soldadura se hará acorde a los detalles contenidos en planos estructurales. En el caso de los postes y diagonales, se verificará que la longitud de todos los

cordones que las unen con las cuerdas (superior e inferior) sea cuando menos de 16 cm, para garantizar la transmisión de la fuerza axial.

Los elementos de cuerda superior e inferior se soldarán en Z y se reforzarán

interiormente con solera de 5 mm para evitar una falla local que se traduzca en el colapso total o parcial de la estructura.

IV.5. Contravientos laterales Los contravientos de la estructura soportan una carga axial máxima de 10.2 Tm y consistirán en dos cruces de redondo de acero OS conectadas a la base y extremo superior de las columnas de concreto. Se diseñan y trabajan únicamente como elementos en tensión. Estos elementos, dada su importancia en la reducción de desplazamientos, se dejarán trabajando a un 60% de su capacidad última, requiriéndose un área transversal

. . ,7.46  . Se utilizarán contravientos de 32 mm de

diámetro, cuya resistencia máxima a tensión es: ∅ 0.9 0.9 2,530 8.03 18,303  . El contraviento estará utilizado al 56% de su capacidad.

Los contravientos se dividirán en 2 secciones que se tensarán utilizando un templador con un extremo fijo (tuerca soldada) y un extremo roscable. En su unión a las

IV.6. Columnas de acero

Las columnas de la estructura se modelaron como secciones cajón/HSS con un extremo empotrado y otro libre, revisándose sus dimensiones durante el diseño y verificándose resistencia y capacidad bajo efectos combinados. El diseño a detalle se encuentra en hojas anexas a este reporte.

IV.7. Cimentación

Dada la separación de las zapatas de 8 metros centro a centro y la capacidad última del terreno, se seleccionó un sistema de zapatas aisladas para cimentar la estructura. Se modelaron como apoyos empotrados, diseñándose como elementos de lindero acorde a la geometría del terreno. Se presenta el diseño en hojas de cálculo anexas al presente reporte.

V. RECOMENDACIONES SOBRE EL PROCESO CONSTRUCTIVO Todos los perfiles y placas de acero estructural deberán respetarse en la

fabricación los espesores, dimensiones y localización de cada uno de los elementos que integran la estructura metálica.

Los conectores especificados deberán tener el diámetro, longitud y resistencia

especificada en proyecto para garantizar el anclaje de la estructura. Si se precisa algún cambio constructivo, deberá contar con autorización escrita del calculista.

Antes de la colocación definitiva de armaduras, se deberá verificar la nivelación y

plomeo de elementos portantes, evitando durante el proceso de montaje dañar la conexión central.

El espacio entre las placas de acero y vigas, columnas y cimentación de concreto

deberá llenarse con grout expansivo del tipo especificado en proyecto, asegurando su total penetración mediante una adecuada fluidez sin contravenir especificaciones del fabricante.

Los clips de montenes de techo deberán alinearse para evitar una deformación

inicial del elemento. Antes de soldar clips, deberán trazarse con hilos y nivel, los ejes de estos elementos, para proceder al punteo y resoldado de clips.

Los montenes de techo deberán arriostrarse acorde a lo especificado en proyecto,

de tal forma que no existan deformaciones iniciales en los polines, quedando el contraflambeo perfectamente tenso para que una vez cargada la estructura, el elemento trabaje como fue diseñado.

Los contravientos se unirán a la cuerda superior de la armadura, tensándose

mediante templadores. No se permitirá el empalme soldado entre segmentos de contravientos.
