In the Monte Castillo there are many caves and one of this is the Monedas´ cave.

This cave was discovered by the ranger Isidoro Blanco in 1952. Later, he showed the cave to Felipe Puente and Alfredo García. In this day they discovered some drawings.

This cave has been investigated for many researchers.

The first name of the cave is “La cueva de los Osos” because some beards lived in there, but the investigators discovered some coins of the age of the Catholics Kings and they change the name.
