Hoy celebramos la solemnidad de la Santísima Trinidad. La Iglesia dedica este domingo a centrar nuestra atención en el misterio de la Santísima Trinidad, Dios, que es uno, en tres personas: Padre, Hijo y Espíritu Santo. La primera lectura de Deuteronomio hace énfasis en la grandeza imponente de Dios y su cercanía asombrosa. Puede parecer increíble, pero el Dios de toda la creación nos habla, nos protege y nos guía. La segunda lectura, tomada de la carta de San Pablo a los Romanos, describe la forma en que se relacionan las tres personas que son un solo Dios. El Espíritu nos guía para cumplir con Dios Padre como hijos adoptivos. Nuestra adopción es tal que somos incluso los herederos de nuestro hermano, Cristo, la segunda persona de la Trinidad, cuyos sufrimientos también debemos compartir. The Mystery of The Blessed Trinity

Today we celebrate the solemnity of the Most Holy Trinity. The Church sets aside this Sunday to focus our attention on the mystery of the Blessed Trinity, God who is one, but three persons—Father, Son, and Holy Spirit. The fi rst reading from Deuteronomy emphasizes both God’s awesome greatness and amazing nearness. It might seem beyond belief, but the God of all creation speaks to us, protects us, and guides us. The second reading from Saint Paul’s Letter to the Romans describes how we are to relate to the three persons who are one God. We are led by the Spirit to meet God the Father as adopted children. Our adoption is such that we are even heirs with our brother, Christ, the second person of the Trinity, in whose suff erings we must also share. In Matthew’s Gospel, Jesus speaks with his authority as God and sends us to teach and baptize in the name of the Trinity.Copyright © J. S. Paluch Co.

¡Espíritu Santo, Ven!El viernes, 21 de mayo, 77 jóvenes y adultos tuvieron los siete dones del Espíritu Santo fortalecidos en ellos mismos en la misa de Confi rmación con el Obispo Barron.
Fue una tarde espectacular, llena de alegría, esperanza, y amor que solo el Espíritu Santo puede traer.
Felicidades a los nuevamente confi rmados y que el Espíritu Santo los guíe todos los días de sus vidas.

The following year I was appointed Director of the San Ramon Minor Seminary, a service I performed for one year. This service has been one of the most demanding at spiritual, pastoral and intellectual levels. Having in my hands the beginning of the vocational process of future priests was a great responsibility. Today the three young men who completed this process are already priests.
The next service was in charge of the Media of the diocese, Director of the diocesan radio (Radio Magnifi cat) and Spokesman of the Curia, also attended a small church called San Pedro. This assignment was for 3 years.
Then I was appointed director of the Diocesan Historical Archives Museum of Leon and in charge of the Immaculate Heart of Mary Chapel. The following year I continued in charge of the Archives but now as Rector of the San Juan de Dios Temple. Those were the last services in my diocese before being invited to serve in this archdiocese of Los Angeles. Where I have already helped several parishes fi rst at St. Cecilia in Los Angeles, then at Sacred Heart in Lancaster and St. Clare in Oxnard.
At Our Lady of Sorrows it is already two years and a few months of service, but I know that my ministry here does not yet close the chapter of the many places the Lord will send me to serve.
As I retrace the past of my vocational journey I thank God for allowing me to be his instrument of salvation for so many souls. And also for all the people who have been an important part of my life and have helped me to grow as a person, as a Christian and as a priest.
Always faithful to the call to serve the Church wherever I am needed, I continue to wait for God’s voice to show me where to go next.

Al año siguiente fui nombrado Director del Seminario Menor San Ramón, servicio que desempeñé por un año. Este servicio ha sido uno de los que mas me ha exigido a nivel espiritual, pastoral e intelectual. Tener en mis
manos el inicio del proceso vocacional de los futuros sacerdotes fue una gran responsabilidad. Hoy
en día los 3 jóvenes que terminaron ese proceso ya son sacerdotes.
El siguiente servicio fue como encargado de los Medios de Comunicación de la diócesis, Director de la radio diocesana (Radio Magnifi cat) y Vocero de la Curia, además atendía
una pequeña iglesia llamada San Pedro. Este encargo fue por 3 años.
Después fui nombrado director del museo Archivo Histórico Diocesano de León y
encargado de la capilla Inmaculado Corazón de María. Al año siguiente continúe al frente del Archivo pero ahora como Rector del Templo San
Juan de Dios. Esos fueron los últimos servicios en mi diócesis antes de ser invitado a servir en esta arquidiócesis de Los Ángeles. Donde he ayudado ya a varias parroquias primero en Santa Cecilia en Los Ángeles, luego en el Sagrado Corazón en Lancaster y en Santa Clara en Oxnard.
En Nuestra Señora de Dolores ya son dos años y unos cuantos meses de servicio, pero sé que mi ministerio aquí no cierra aún el capítulo de los muchos lugares a los que el Señor me enviará a servir.
Al recorrer el pasado de mi camino vocacional le doy gracias a Dios por haberme permitido ser su instrumento de salvación para tantas almas. Y también por todas las personas que han sido parte importante de mi vida y me han ayudado a crecer como persona, como cristiano y como sacerdote.
Siempre fi el al llamado de servir a la Iglesia donde me necesite continuo esperando la voz de Dios que me indique donde seguir.
