When the time was near for Mary to give birth. Joseph andMary had to make a long journey from where they lived inNazareth to Bethlehem.

When they arrived in Bethlehem, there was no place to stay.The only room they could find was a place where animalsstayed. Baby Jesus was born there and Mary laid him in afeeding trough, since they did not have a bed for him.

Jesus did many miracles. He turned five loaves of bread andtwo small fish into enough food for over 5,000 people.

Once, while crossing a large lake with His disciples, a greatstorm arose which threatened to sink the boat they were in.He commanded the winds and the waves to cease —andimmediately there was a great calm.

En cierta ocasión, mientras Él y Sus discípulos cruzaban unextenso lago, se desató una feroz tempestad que amenazabacon hacer zozobrar la nave en que se encontraban. Ordenó alos vientos que se calmaran y a las olas que se aquietaran, yenseguida hubo gran bonanza.

Jesus was also a great teacher. He taught that God loves usvery much and wants to make us His children. He oftenexplained deep truths by means of parables.

Then suddenly, Jesus was arrested, and less than 24 hourslater He was executed as a criminal.

Jesus chose to give His life because He knew that was theonly way God's plan for our salvation could be fulfilled.

La situación dio entonces un giro repentino. Se llevaronpreso a Jesús y en un lapso de apenas veinticuatro horas loejecutaron sumariamente como a un criminal.

Jesús optó por ofrendar la vida por ti y por mí, sabiendo

Three days later, early in the morning, some women whohad followed Jesus visited His tomb, but His body wasn'tthere!

An angel told them, “Jesus is nothere. He has risen from the dead,just like he said he would !”

During the next forty days, Jesus appeared to his disciplesmany times.

Jesus told the disciples “Go into all the world and preachthe Good News to everyone. And be sure of this: I am withyou always.”

Jesús dijo a sus discípulos: «Vayan por todos los países delmundo y anuncien las buenas noticias a todo el mundo. Ytengan por seguro esto: que estoy con ustedes siempre,hasta el fin de los tiempos».

Then Jesus went up to heaven, and a cloud hid him fromtheir sight.

Entonces Jesús subió al cielo, y una nube lo ocultó de suvista.

God sent Jesus, in the form of a man, to understand us andshow us what He Himself is like and to bring us to Himself.To receive God's love in Jesus, all you have to do is open

your heart and ask Him to come in.

Para manifestarnos Su amor, acercarnos a Él y llevarnos acomprender Su esencia, Dios dispuso que Su propio Hijo,Jesucristo, tomara forma corporal y bajara a la Tierra.

Para aceptar el amor de Dios manifestado por medio de

Jesús, no tienes más que abrir el corazón y pedirle que entrea formar parte de ti.
